Yes it's a lot of IPA. I'm not sure I give a fuck about your opinion of 'my' beer. What's your choice? What do you like? Show me your favorite beer/music parings.

You are most likely a psychopath if you enjoy IPAs.

I realize it was a fad for a while. I'm glad I caught the bug after the fact. I have a IPA boner. Post a link to some music and a picture of beer. Please. What do you love to drink? Here's a pic from several days ago.
This is what I listened to.

It's not a difficult concept.

America has no good beer

Yeah. Neither do they have any good liberals. Only identity politicians and socialist traitors. I'm not asking for much on this beer thread. I don't need illegal aliens to get it rolling. ;-D

America has the best beer. I've been to Europe, Africa, and Asia and can say it with conviction: America has the best beer

Bourbon.

My problem with IPAs, especially from craft beer breweries, is that they always seem like they're trying to out-hop each other and no one is winning.

I made a peach cider once. It was okay. I had more fun making the labels n shit.

I drank this crap in NYC when I visited two years ago. I figured that it was fitting since I was staying at some Chinese chick's place in Harlem

Haha. What label maker? Did you enjoy drinking it at least? I like ciders when I'm visiting places. Alaska needs a pro football team.

all beer inherently tastes bad and pretending to like it is a shared illness

My girlfriend at the time was into graphic design and helped me get it all onto some program she used for work. I did all the sketches and rough drafts.

I could only actually bottle 12 of them because, as it turns out, high-quality ink and paper isn't cheap, so I just bottled the rest and kept it in a spare fridge.

It wasn't bad, but it definitely needed some refining. The peach flavor was weak but the carbonation and sugar levels were just right. I suppose it wasn't bad for a first batch.

I've already trademarked the brewery name just in case

You know there's other types of beer out there, right?

IPAs aren't everything

Honestly the best drink to make with 40oz malt liquor is a Brass Monkey

Drink the beer down to the top of the label, fill it back up with orange juice, cap it, roll it across the floor to mix it up, then enjoy.

It's actually pretty good despite being associated with certain... undesirables

u dumb ? Mikkeler wins everytime fool

Seems like a pretty legit double blind peer reviewed study by someone with absolutely no bias in the game. thanks again Veeky Forums

That's badass.

That's very interesting. Did you see the news on comedy central today? Apparently Trump talked to Putin at some meeting and that proves collusion and capitalism is bad.
What's your favorite fidget spinner?

IPAs are delicious (though I also love scotch ales and amber ales).

I also prefer my coffee black and my whiskey islay. I also enjoy drinking straight tonic water, as well as club soda.

I feel like I'm a pretty well-adjusted nice guy, though.

My favorite from americas oldest brewery.

Real American beer.
All you IPA, 'craft' beer fags are not real Americans.

The apotheosis of that trend was years ago.

...

Has the IPA meme gone too far?

>America
>Good beer
Pick one

Not sure. I know summer lasts a lot longer than it use to.

that's widely known as piss beer but I still like it.

It's not 1980 anymore, America has the best beer in the world now.

I'm going to Montreal this weekend, do they have local craft beers worth checking out?

all of them look and probably taste like shit

This is the only good beer

this here is what im drinkin rn. get on my level nerds

yeah ipa's are for hipster dorks desu

that's dutch you dumb fuck

Most competent allround US beer i ever had!

Faggot

IPAs were so 5 years ago

I saw some of that near me. I'm going to pick some up next time.

Yours is Belgian though

>abita
>new belgium
>sam adams
fuck off.

I know. Just what I was drinking at that moment

Awe.

Why do much hate on ipas? is this a meme or something?.

t. new to Veeky Forums

They're for hipster fags. The market is oversaturated with them and they for most part taste the same.

>Duane allman
>that selection
Are you from Mississippi? Anyway of those the two hearted is best. Didn't like the voodoo ranger at all

Andy gator is a bit too syrupy but still good

>2 hearted
>Voodoo Ranger

Mein negro

Yeah but a good IPA from Founders or Bells is amazing. They require a high threshold of excellence and there are too many bad ones out there.

It's because most of them just don't taste good. I've noticed a lot of people who talk about drinking IPAs don't talk about the "right" kind of bitterness that doesn't make you feel sick, or proper balancing of flavors or anything like that, they just talk about bitterness ratings like it's a competition. Kind of like some people with hot sauces, they'll eat hot sauces that don't taste good just because they added pure capsaicin in it to make it hotter.

I only had one IPA that had the right kind of bitterness that didn't make my stomach feel gross, even though it was very bitter it was the "right" kind of bitter. The "right" kind of bitter mostly stays in your mouth but the wrong kind will make your stomach feel off, and that's how most IPAs are.

I've also noticed some people who drink IPAs talking about how much they like bitterness and dislike sweetness but after a while they give it up and just drink whatever they think tastes good. Most people don't want beer-drinking to be a competition of who can handle the most bitter swill.

Of course there are good IPAs out there.

Like most things, IPA hate is a generalization, because as you said there as so many bad ones.

im getting more 2hearted tomorrow. it's good. getting some kind of stout tonight though. not sure what.

I really like IPAs that are citrusy, but piney IPAs churn my stomach. It's all in the hops, not in the amount of the hops as you said. That's what an IPA is after all, a hop forward beer.

>it's good.
I thought so too until I tried drinking one when I was hungover. I nursed it for an hour and gave up the ghost. Never drink an IPA hungover.
>getting some kind of stout tonight though. not sure what.
Try Lagunitas, they make a nice stout that is quite affordable.

Milkshake Stouts are fun

Big Bad Baptist is worth it

This is my go to "IPA".

>forgot image

I am. I usually get beer in Louisiana though. The build-your-own six was from kroger and i realized they had some IPAs I have only had once or twice. I just made a mix and match IPA.

What do you guys think about Fulton Brewery's "300" IPA? I had one yesterday and to be frank I had to choke it down. It tasted like medicine.

I'll post some. Pic related

Are IPAs any easier or tougher to brew than something like a porter or an English bitter? A brewery opened in my town recently, and they only offer IPAs. I'm aware it's extremely popular, but for fuck's sake, I'd like some variety that isn't limited to an expensive seasonal release.

They're lazy and safe because you can mask your mediocre brewing skills with lmaoIBUs

One of these beers is not like the others...

Dragon's Milk~

The bourbon barrel dragons milk is a true treat, I absolutely adore barrel aged beers like the Prairie Bomb series. That shits is delicious

is that limited run or what? i didnt see any of that.

The cicada series is seasonal (to my knowledge). The barrel-aged Fire Ant was a limited run. It was pretty spectacular.

fire ant is my favorite by SPB. i need to keep better tabs on them.

I moved from Mississippi to Cali in the past 6 months. SPB is one of two breweries (the other being Straight to Ale) from that region that I will miss.

Didn't like Luckytown?

Not a huge fan

i like some ghost river, and some abita beers, but i usually only get a six pack or two a week, so i don't try all the local brews.
there is only one or two places i'm aware of that even has decent imports. i guess i need to make a trip next week to scare up some good stouts if i can. i ended up with another 6 of random shit from kroger because i was in a hurry to come make dinner. Lagunitas little sumpin' ale is pretty good. glad i got it.

Where are you located?

central ms.

Yeah, I moved from Starkville. Mississippi is slowly improving in it's selection of beers, but it's still a desert relative to most of the country. Check out Wiseacre if you're able.

I will. Thanks for the tip. Did you go to State or just a resident who evacuated the area? Last time I visited there it was a big deal that they sold already chilled beer... It's been a while.

State

Lagunitas imperial is my go to "I need a beer" Beer. Its like 3.60 where I live and I love the licorice backnotes. You ever had it?

i have not, but i do know a place that carries it. i'm definitely going to get it next time i go.
Hail State lel

GTHOM

I didn't even know they made a black and tan.
is it as good as Harp/Guinness or what ever the draught version is?

I prefer the Black and Tan to their lager.

Is there a logo on the other side of that glass?

my neighbor would have a fucking stroke. he'd probably take out one of his LSU SUKS plates and replace it with a similar MSU one in his rear window. he's an old fellow that goes to all the home games in oxford. he's a trip, but he gave me some pretty good scotch once.

It's a great rivalry. Lots of fun to fuck with people, especially the ones that take it seriously.

Has anybody tried this sweet ass fucker though? I had it just this last monday at my local beer joint and it was the fruitiest 10% ive ever had in my life. Dank AF.

Its not my picture, I dont know. Why do you ask though? Thats a strange question.

Yes. I enjoyed it.

I hear ya. I'd be the same if I went to either. His bottle and that rogue red are the only two empty bottles I keep. He's a sweetheart. If I started flying gold and purple he'd probably take pot shots at me and shit on my lawn at night, though.

cool, I'm not close enough to the state line. Southern prohbition Devil's harvest breakfast IPA is good and easy to drink (like 4.5%) and suzy b if you like blonde ale. Timber beast from lazy magnolia is a nice intense one probably my favorite beer that's brewed in MS.

As you probably know wtach the expiration dates. We tend to get old ass beer here, maybe from sitting on the shelf too long

i thought timber beast was something else? like abita or something?

Try the Roquefort 10 if you ever see it. This liquor store near me has bottles that have been there for 5+ years and it's some of the best beer I've ever had. I should just buy them all.

Refreshing to sip.

They used to sell the 4 packs for $10, now they do 6 pack so it's a good deal

holy shit.
it is lazy magnolia.

So, this might seem kind of random, but I found this delicious Russian Imperial at my local beer place. Does anybody know how to get their hands on a bottle of this? I cant seem to find it anywhere else but there and they are always out.

Does alabama have some good breweries? I don't know if I'm aware of any besides Back Forty.
