because education institutions have been infected by economically illiterate Marxists, why else?

wow a junior level class dictates an entire field's mentality!

Isn't every ABET accredited engineer required to take some sort of ethics class for their degree

>Why do engineers need to counter capitalism?
We're already living in late stage capitalism (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Late_capitalism), communism is the logical next step.

>Why do engineers need to counter capitalism? Isn't engineering literally building something to a price...
the unskilled female engineers have to do something with those degrees since they can't do real jobs, might as well teach their specialty: how to destroy civilization

>communism
>not traditionalism

> gender is a key thread...
Pic related is just a clever way to complain some more about the so called gender pay gap and women's issues in STEM. It's really a gender studies course.

>That one Purdue NukeEng fag will defend this

>Gender is a key thread running through the course in examining issues of water supply and quality, food production and energy.
>We take up racist and colonialist projects in science
>Using readings from philosophy, science and technology studies, and feminist postcolonial science studies, we explore these topics and encounter new models of science and engineering that are responsive to ethical concerns.
Is this shit mandatory, OP? Its seems like a tremendous waste of time. Ethics in engineering an science should be limited to environmental concerns and safety concerns. What you're about to learn is overly biased nonsense

environmental concerns are at least as biased as gender concerns

>Riley, D. and Sciarra, G.L. "'You're all a bunch of fucking feminists': Addressing the Perceived Conflict Between Gender and Professional Identities Using the Montreal Massacre." Proceedings of the Frontiers in Education Conference, October 28–31, San Diego, CA (2006).
what the fuck is this shit

retard

>retard
damn you really got me there

Yes, my class was engineering ethics. My professor lectured about case studies of disasters caused by poor engineering, and who received blame. I don't remember gender issues or economics being involved though.

wouldn't waste more than 10 words talking to retard

Marxism the class.

Yeah but its not this retarded

>marxists have been saying this for 100 fucking years, its never going to happen you lazy fucks
anarchy is the only answer, coercive social institutions must be brought to light and dismantled if we are supposed to survive/ have a socialist society

Yep. And then a group of individuals voluntarily form a hierarchical organization, voluntarily dividing labor and tasks on the basis of competence, and then this group outcompetes everyone else, and we're back to where we were.

>environmental concerns and problems can be exaggerated at times
>therefore we mist disregard them entirely
and don't compare the environment to gender bullshit and feminist garbage

>gender discrimination concerns and problems can be exaggerated at times
>therefore we mist disregard them entirely
and don't compare the gender and feminism to climate change bullshit and environment garbage

As humans we all have an obligation fight back against capitalism

People are economic illiterates and seem to think that they can make supply/demand obsolete by making magical machines to do everything for them.

t. read a book or two about free market capitalism
