Who the Alt-Right is and how many of them there really are and whether they form a real movement are all good questions...

>Who the Alt-Right is and how many of them there really are and whether they form a real movement are all good questions. I think it’s small, diffuse (lots of single young men at their computers in their mother’s basements, getting angry on the internet), following diverse influences (though Nietzsche of course is very big)
>though Nietzsche of course is very big
are catholics right about Nietzsche? is he a major influence on the alt right?

absolutely not, beyond the influence he had on society in general

ftfy

Butthurt leftist cucks, huh?

Try the redpill

Tried it, threw it up just like the "blue pill."

Could you describe your experiences as a nationalist untermensch for me? I'm writing a character like you into the short story I'm working on, but I don't actually hang out with subhumans IRL, so it's difficult to get material

Confederacy of Dunces has a good protagonist for that.

Where's this quote taken from? Just curious

>/pol/ loves Nietzsche
>Nietzsche hated germans and loved the jews

Lots of anime, 'vidya', and social rejection

aleteia.org/2016/08/31/the-alt-right-and-the-catholic-moment/

there's a lot of these dumb catholic articles

Read it, it was helpful, but Ignatius seems to be a bit more intelligent than most people I hear described by friends of mine (e.g. he knows how to name-drop Boethius). A friend of mine who works at a burger joint has a co-worker who L I T E R A L L Y wears black fedoras, fingerless gloves, and trench coats for every season of the year. But he lives hours away, so I'm not likely to meet this walking /pol/. I'm hoping to get some material straight from the donkey's mouth.

More detail. Which anime, which and how much vidya, social rejection by whom?

By women, who are all worthless whores

On the right track. What sorts of women (young, old, fat, skinny, ugly, pretty, crushes, stalkers, etc.) rejected you? Why do you think you were rejected? Can you describe the specific circumstances of the rejection?

Are you dense? He's baiting you user.

>/pol/ loves Nietzsche
>alt right loves Nietzsche

Then why do they deny any connection with him and his philosophy?

I spend at least 4-6 hrs a day on this site and I see absolutely nothing wrong with what is said about /pol/ or the alt-right from this article. Why are you people so afraid to claim what you spend all day preaching? Is it done just for the lolz or what?

You need a bigger sample size than your mom to draw that conclusion bro.

We must save whiteness from the influence of women and minorities

I was just hoping it wasn't bait for the aforementioned reasons. My naivete is a product of my genuine desire to understand the psyche of the untermensch, without actually trolling /pol/ (which is damaging to the psychological health of everyone involved) or becoming a professional therapist.

Also, I'm bored as fuck, so even if I am the baited at least I'm getting a response, which is more interesting than lurking. Although you're right, I think I'll take the dog for a walk.

>I spend at least 4-6 hrs a day on this site and I see absolutely nothing wrong with what is said about /pol/ or the alt-right from this article.
that's because you don't go outside

i'd be terrified if anyone knew i thought this shit irl
>Why are you people so afraid to claim what you spend all day preaching? Is it done just for the lolz or what?
because people will beat me up and ostracize me

Well that doesn't explain the fact that right now we are not outside or even around those people who would beat you, and still we find ourselves in a thread of which the very premise is a denial of the relationship between the alt right and Nietzsche's thought. So, surely you can't be serious.

I've been looking for a good thread to post this in, just to see what happens, of course.

nietzsche never conceived of an untermensch

try reading an actual book for once in your life, ultimate man.

>Boethius
ah, so youre the guy who doesnt know anything about Augustine.

makes sense

>/pol/ are literally the Nietzschean ubermensch
kek

These sort of analyses are about on the level of "Nietzsche was a Nihilist" in terms of their understanding of events.

>last man detected

If the alt-right read anything, they wouldn't be the alt-right

>Tried it, threw it up just like the "blue pill."

>Tried it, threw it up just like the "blue pill."

>implying the alt-right reads anything but the titles of interracial porn videos on xvideos

ive been browsing pol and news for years and followed election in trump generals and in wl thread's

and idk what the duck altright is

>alt-right
>influences
Alt-Right isn't actually an ideology, it's more a feeling of revolt towards current society and all other current politicial movements. So it has these general characteristics, but they don't really constitute what you'd call a constructed ideology with its influences and dogmas.
>Also the alt-right goes the full spectrum from catholicism to neopaganism

Nietzschean modes of thought are fairly prevalent in the alt-right.

I doubt very many members of the alt-right have read Nietzche, though. They get the ideas from others.

Also, the notion that the alt-right even exists is pretty funny to me. There's no such thing as the alt-right.

honest question, what then do you call the rise in reactionaries rejecting both left and right wing modes of political thought in the US?

Not him, but the only modes of orthodox political thought in the US are social-liberalism and conservative-liberalism. The past 100 years have been spent pruning alternative ideas from any legitimate form of representation while wrapping those two strains of liberalism in ever more tailor made packaging.

The alt-right seem to have only a vague collective desire to stick it to social-liberals and a fetishistic view of Nazism, and they have little idea that they have been manipulated by outsiders.

No

I agree with you, though I find your use of the term 'liberalism' lacking. Neoliberalism is probably better.
