I listen to Mozart for atmosphere or mumble rap for the quiet beat. Gets my brain going.
Music while studying is for brainlets.
Anything repetitive and easy I listen to some Chopin or tchiakovsky.

No music for intensity and focus
downtempo, anything chill
Lofi, Chill hop, ambient
i like it; it's repetitive.

This is a good listen if you want that classical Mozart feel but still in the spirit of Bach with nothing too sensational. Of course Mozart's pieces of resistance etc. are his operas and oratorios but they deserve a more substantial focus
I prefer silence when I'm studying but music when I'm working
when reading, no music. when solving problems, absolutely.

do you talk about your joy of classical music to all the girls you go out on dates with
Music is for brainless unable to concentrate on what matters
neither seems to help.
i get the same amount of not work done either way.

don't you have to get up early tomorrow for school, kiddo? go to bed
I like to listen to quiet, spacey shit while studying. The repetition is almost hypnotic for me.

chopin didn't compose this. KYS
Suicide tier choices
Somehow, metal.
I listen to 17th-18th marches, mostly British and French. Other than that, lo-fi I guess
I'm a postdoc, so I no longer have to study. However, if I'm writing manuscripts/R code, I often listen to instrumental doom metal like the following:

Ryuichi Sakamoto and Yiruma, maybe something calm from a video game soundtrack.

My ADHD wont let me. No matter how hard I try.
In undergrad I only listened to music while studying for my math courses while doing practice problems. Calculus was perfect for it.
This was back in the mid/late 00s so combichrist, noisufx, fiendflug etc
Glenn Gould the best pineast.
Anyone else listen exclusively to vaporwave when studying?
I've gotten so much done to this mix:

Your ADHD is on another level. What are you talking about?
Low-fi btw.
ambient music, noise, or highly repetitive music (e.g. Lorn, Oneohtrix Point Never, Theologian, Kristin Rule, Colin Stetson, Tim Hecker) for intense study
for light studying usually some jazz (hiromi uehara, linda oh, charles minugs) or black metal (liturgy, wolves in the throne room, etc) depending on the mood and time of day
if i'm studying for an exam or something really important: anime OST and OP/ED
i've psychologically associated Blank Banshee's Meteor with studying and doing homework late at night now
if i think about studying i'll start hearing that album in my head
classical music ftw
Classical music is the shit bro oh and also good rap
I listen to mostly smooth jazz
I prefer silence
To cancel out urban noises a bit I sometimes use nature sounds, in the park or near a river I might use something that matches the environment.
Solely, when speed reading loudly rap instrumentals play, Mobb Deep and Alchemist works...

My methods is to study for 20min and then watch porn for 10min each time.
So far this method works great, my last three exams were all 100%.

Just discovered this guy, Steve Hauschildt. Most of his shit is good for work requiring your full attention. I also like

Silence for anything that causes cognitive strain
>hiromi uehara
This person appreciates some fine modern jazz
Something that wasn't mentioned here is that it depends on your involvement with music - some people are able to pay little to no critical attention to music, however I personally find it hard be cause I study music.
Only brainlets listen to music whilst studying
