Even among friendly neighbours, border disputes are often resolved by giving and taking. It's only the 90s that many new countries were created and border were re-drawn after the fall of Communism.

And nations have a shared identity and language, I never said we shouldn't have those either, I'm saying that it isn't healthy to demand that neither of these things change, or forcing a return to an era that has nothing to do with the current political and social climate.
