Hmnmmmhh.

More please

It is funny, without being too over-intelligent/analysis. Good. Approved.

Part 3, had to wait to post then got distracted sorry

Cool stuff.

Looked it up to see part 4

Disappointing

ha this shit is gay af ha

this is reddit

No, this is reddit
They don't look anything alike
How could you confuse them?

>by Sindar
stopped reading there

garbage that tries to capitalize on being 'so nerdy xD'

Not him but Existential Comics is the only good webcomic about philosophy, alongsode Dead Philosophers in Heaven. I'm pretty sure that this is the only LOTR-related comic on his site.

...

...

Too bad the author is a liberal idiot.
I guess studying philosophy doesn't make one wise.

...

Have any of these ever been funny? I must have seen a hundred now and not laughed once. They're all completely on the nose.

>liberal
He is a hardcore commie, that has nothing to do with liberalism.

I dunno man, I thought he was one when I stopped following him on twitter after Trump's election.
He wouldn't stop crying about how it was the awful thing ever and even made a Harry Potter analogy.

It's fine, but he should really learn how to draw better, especially the backgrounds are always horrible.

Well, it was an awful thing.
A ignorant, spoled, narcissistic, uncharitable, fairly racist and sexist TV star (associated with the worst entertainment we can think of, the one that truly degrades our society) whose presidential plans were mostly shit talk and truly fucked up, downright evil ideas (the wall, repealing the ACA, EPA and DOA) won the election. That's a societal failing, my friend.

>inb4 Hillary shill
I'm not that either, but the fact that Trump has won these elections has shown us a truly obscure side of our country.

>obscure
>63,000,000 people

I meant dark.
Is that really everything you've got?

Protip:

if Trump is evil and people voted for him, then people are evil. There's nothing to lament here, we deserve everything we're going to get as a people.

Also that's not how you use the word obscure.

Don't you dare upvote r/politics.

The fact that people are evil (and stupid, because we know that there are people out there who don't mean no wrong but are too stupid to realize it) is sad enough to lament it. Of course America deserves whatever is going to happen to them yet I still feel sad about those dire circumstances.

The whole point of democracy is there's nothing to feel bad about. We do it to ourselves. Your pity is condescending.

This post is actively stupid.

But if there is no objective definition of evil and humans are the only standard to go from, then doesn't that just mean that what you say is evil is really just the default? In that case there is definitely nothing to lament, unless you're lamenting the fact that the default doesn't align with your personal beliefs, in which case you're just an egoist which in most cases is also seen as evil, etc., etc.

This is presocratics tier of mental gymnastics.

t. Philosophical zombie who think that everything is the same thing

>stupid webcomic with bad art

trashed

Kek

He's a Marxist not a liberal tbqh.

Yes, it is. The guy who makes these is surprisingly pseudy and posts on /r/badphilosophy all the time, to the point these pieces of shit get smeared across that sub's front page.

That's actually not very surprising.

Just goes to show understanding something is not the same thing as reading something.

>a wall
>evil
U wot mate?

HA...GAAAAAAYYYY!!!!

r/badphilosophy is infininetely less pseud than Veeky Forums

But the guy who made these literally posts in reddit.

>he thinks that Veeky Forums is better than r/badphilosophy

Just admit your defeat, my friend. The userbase of Veeky Forums is not comprised, by the most part, of philosophy Ms and PhDs.

>Mordor was at peace before the Numenorians invaded them
That's just wrong. Numenor traded with the eastern coast of Middle Earth, and the orcs kept launching attacks on their ports.
Of course, communists don't care about disrupting trade as long as it helps their revolutions.

Trump lost the popular vote and should not be president in the first place.

>The whole point of democracy is there's nothing to feel bad about. We do it to ourselves. Your pity is condescending.

You're a certifiable retard. I honestly can't believe that there are voters THIS stupid in my own country. Even rednecks who voted Trump for racial reason are smarter than you.

And it's a lot less insufferable too. I love seeing them complain about people not respecting philosophy while embodying exactly why it has such a poor image in the first place.

*far more insufferable

Philosophy is not a political party, it's a field of study. The individual should not concern about these trivialities.

>Philosophy is not a political party, it's a field of study.
Tell that to the redditors who use it as an excuse to be so mean spirited and exclusionary. It's rather telling that philosophy was the only bad- sub to turn into that sort of aggressive circlejerk.

Have you ever seen people on r/badphilosophy being exclusionary towards actually good philosophy? It's mostly pop philosophers (such as Harris and Peterson) and clueless people on reddit (and we hate them too).

What's wrong with that? If anything it's a good way to select the dumbest posts one can find in r/philosophy without having to delve in it by yourself.
inb4
>why would you ever do that

Because, like every other human being, I love hating something every once in a while (and I'm sure that most people here can understand me), and bad philosophers are a fair target.

yeah lets turn this into a thread where we post all the awesome philosophical OC we create

you start user

Yes.

Simply put, most of them are analytics who screech at the thought of anything "not useful". Nihilism of all kinds is obviously bad philosophy, for example.

It's a shithouse for putting your own thoughts on a pedestal and hurling aubergines at others'. Often those comments deserve it, sometimes they don't, and always the badphilosophers are worse than whatever they're sperging out about.

But at least they're not badliterature.

my favourite thing about these comics is that they feel the need to mention who each philosopher is

"hello marx"
"ah, greetings plato"

it's like in incest caption porn where the people refer to eachother as "big sis" or "brother" it's just the dumbest shit

Go back to /pol/

Cringeworthy and unfunny

The population of the USA is 324 million
And Hillary got more votes
No that's not entirely true. You have people that have been getting screwed for decades by neoliberal structural adjustments, have no jobs, no healthcare, no education, and the only answers they are getting as to why everything is going wrong for them is the Right Wing Noise Machine pumping out racist jingoistic paranoia hysteria

>he has a reddit account
GET THE FUCK OUT NORMIE REEEEEEEEEEEE

>U.S. law professor and author of the 2014 book Dog Whistle Politics Ian Haney-López described Ronald Reagan as "blowing a dog whistle" when the candidate told stories about "Cadillac-driving 'welfare queens' and 'strapping young bucks' buying T-bone steaks with food stamps" while he was campaigning for the presidency.[21][22][23] He argues that such rhetoric pushes middle-class white Americans to vote against their economic self-interest in order to punish "undeserving minorities" who, they believe, are receiving too much public assistance at their expense. According to López, conservative middle-class whites, convinced by powerful economic interests that minorities are the enemy, supported politicians who promised to curb illegal immigration and crack down on crime but inadvertently also voted for policies that favor the extremely rich, such as slashing taxes for top income brackets, giving corporations more regulatory control over industry and financial markets, union busting, cutting pensions for future public employees, reducing funding for public schools, and retrenching the social welfare state. He argues that these same voters cannot link rising inequality which has impacted their lives to the policy agendas they support, which resulted in a massive transfer of wealth to the top 1% of the population since the 1980s.[24]
Lee Atwater said it more bluntly in 1981:
>You start out in 1954 by saying, "Nigger, nigger, nigger." By 1968, you can't say "nigger" — that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me — because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this," is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "Nigger, nigger."

Enforcing immigration law is racist

>He's a hardcore commie
Even worse. He LARPs as a commie (because he's one of those shits who think that "Marx is great in theory"), but in practice he's a cookie-cutter lifestyle liberal.

What does any of this even mean

I don't get this one? Is that supposed to be Heidegger?

Where can I find more humor like this?

You know the routine.

Good goy, keep consuming the mainstream media! Trump is Hitler! Christians are more violent than Muslims! Cops hate black people! Transgender people are the future! Listen and believe, goyim!

This is true. Redditors in general are too stuck in their own asses to understand humor or sarcasm (which is why they literally need to use the "/s" tag to indicate when someone is not being 100% serious). Reddit is much more autistic than Veeky Forums.

>hurr durr

>dude just let the same 5 big cities decide every election while the rest of the country gets no say lmao what can go wrong

for what it's worth, I agree with you, user

This cringe is unbearable

This is fun, even when I'm a pseud who doesn't know who Zinn is.
Of course you'd cringe if you're not into tolkien and philosophy at the same time.

panels 2-4 do not at all represent foucault's thought, while the remaining panels in which he figures only represent a wikipedian understanding of his thought.
