Enjoy a book

>enjoy a book
>read more about the artist
>find out they are communist/socialist

>people contradicting my completely wrong point of view

the author is dead anyway, read what you want into it

I don;t care what the authors politics are if its a good book

that being said, lots of commie authors feel the need to make their socialism the main theme

I guess that's why socialists like to put their rubbish into everything, creates a nice insulating bubble

>tfw I just found out Ligotti's a socialist
Looks like nihilism is shit

>no girlfriend because hate women
>no music because hate black people
>no books because hate socialists
no wonder /pol/ is so miserable

>enjoy a book
>read more about the artist
>he was a monarchist/traditional capitalist/champagne socialist

Every fucking time.

>being gay isn't superior
>classical isn't superior
>traditionalist/anarchist literature isn't superior
no wonder all leftists have depression

>find out they are communist/socialist

get used to it kid (i'm assuming you're a child because you're on Veeky Forums and have posted a picture related to spider man).

There aren't an awful lot of talented writers of a right wing disposition. Knut Hamsun and a few others

also
get the fuck out! saged, hidden, told your mom and phoned moot mk2

>21st century
>ascribes to communist ideology
>not 18 years old

Good laugh

Nihilism is Socialism. No wonder it works to bring down civilization.

>not appreciating the aesthetic perfection of female body
>classical
>not power electronics and black metal
i'll give you the last one though

> read C.S.Lewis
> favorably impressed
> realise he's a Cryptochristian
> fucking dropped

it's like hearing an adult say to a kid "So.. do you like films about gladiators?"

As someone who is both Christian and liberal, are Ayn Rand's books worth reading?

Only children avoid reading about things they disagree with. I'm staunchly anti communist but have read Marx extensively (which has only served to strengthen my convictions)

>are Ayn Rand's books worth reading?
Yes, but just for the sheer influence they've had on the world.
They're not that good, but it helps to know that they've been the philosophical backbone of the US corporatist establishment for half a century.

IMO Altas Shrugged was the biggest waste of time I've ever let myself get into. You're knee deep in dogma for 1000 pages straight. (I'm not even lefty)

ayn rand is a brilliant writer.

this meme has to end

Give me a break.
She gave us a great synthesis of the ideal modern capitalism, but her craft is poor at beast.
