just like that

stop creating universes
>t. god

s-sorry dad

Only [maybe] infinite in three spatial dimensions. There is a higher dimension that contains the non-infinite universe.

even in that case the universe is still infine.
think of a plane in our 3D space. it doesnt have thickness but its infinite

Quantum fluctuations

>Implying the whole concepts of space, time , causation, logic or meaning hold any meaning outside the universe

>how was it created from nothing?
well, was it?

Alright Gavin Belson

That's true. Oh well.

this most of all
"what caused time to start?!"
why are half the threads on sci like this atm?

>dimensions
dimensions only exist in math, not in real world dummy

why? I don't understand

>nothing exists
>nothing exists to prevent universe from being created

could you explain it to me?

If the universe is spatially finite, then it's like an infinite cone -- it starts at the point, and then grows larger as time increases. If the universe is spatially finite then it's more like the upper half plane, which starts at the x axis and then goes on forever in the y direction. If it all ends in a big crunch, the infinite cone becomes a surface that looks like a sphere has been pinched so it begins and ends with a cone, or if it';s spatially infinite but ends in a big crunch, it looks like a ribbon, infinite in one direction, finite in the other.

>nothing is magical

If the list of positive integers is infinite, how was it started from 0?

Kill yourself.

The universe isn't infinite.

>If universe is infinite
It's not.
>how was it created from nothing?
It wasn't.

the universe exists in all states of existence and non-existence. There are other parts of the universe that don't exist but we don't talk about those because, frankly, they are imaginary.

by the way what shape is the universe

Who claims the universe is infinite?

Nothing in the material world is infinite.

This.

At 0 seconds, the universe began rushing in size, rapidly and everywhere, because space was expanding rapidly and everywhere.

For some reason we haven't yet discovered, more matter than antimatter was formed and for some reason, matter stopped appearing.

prove it

Singularity != nothing

It's almost definitely infinite if you take into account the unobservable universe. There's not a lot of reason to think there's anything different going on there just because we can't see it. On galactic scales, space is isotropic and homogenous; there is no evidence that there is an "edge" where the distribution of matter and energy becomes significantly different.

Beep Beep!

> take into account what you can't observe via any method.

Kill yourself you fucking retard.

nothing is not nothing. read this ugly mans book

>Taking into account dark matter
>When you can't observe it
It's called inferring.

but dark matter CAN be observed, just like black holes: indirectly.

I dunno, man. Im not big on reading, and that is one ugly looking man

>There's not a lot of reason to think there's anything different going on there just because we can't see it. On galactic scales, space is isotropic and homogenous; there is no evidence that there is an "edge"
How about this little fact that it's expanding?

because science is a jewish meme to keep people from asking too many questions and to deconstruct morality.

as an atheist I like this guy

>created from nothing
...by mythology.
