I like putting kipper on my toast.

I don't get the avocado on toast meme

It was an article a few years? ago about why millennials can't afford houses and the reason was that they would spend money on things like brunch and eating out all the time instead of saving money, and one of the things that millennials are apparently eating too much of was avocado toast.

Reckless fiscal incompetence of an entire generation. The meme is used to mock said generation, especially when they go ranting and raving on about how their impossible socialist utopia would be preferable to basic money skills.

mexicans eat avocados all the time. then some rich white hipsters ate some and its suddenly all over the news.
the fuck.

it is seriously not bad guys.

>be 28
>own a house
>three vehicles
>two commercial buildings
>made all this happen for myself
>no rich parents
>no small loan of a million dollars
Yeah, fuck lazy young people. If I can do it, they have no excuse.

what kind of business did you start?

>inb4 restaurant

>restaurant
Fuck that shit, too much risk for probably nothing. I just lease the buildings and don't actually own the businesses but will have my own in the next few years. As for my job, I have worked in construction for nine years.

Its cheap for mexicans though.
If you go to brunch and get avocado whatever itll be 20$ instead of 5$ for avocado and bread from walmart

yeah, but my point is when mexicans, or any nonwhites, do something, it can stay unknown. then some hipsters in san francisco discover something and suddenly its cool and trendy instead of seen as dirty ethnic stuff. SAD!

You misunderstood the meme completely, old man.

>some hipsters in san francisco
That's the real problem, not your fucking skin color. But stay brainwashed, we've always been at war with Eastasia

Hats off to you user.

In South Florida they are a garbage fruit we just let half of them rot.

>REEEEEE FUCKING FLYOVERS STOP POINTING OUT HOW IRRATIONAL WE ARE REEEEEEE

It's just exoticism dude. It's like how the Japanese give Kimono's and fancy-yet-cheap chopstick sets out to people as gifts as part of their culture but Liberals here in the US will shit themselves in rage at "cultural appropriation" if you don't throw said gifts out at the air port because it'd be "racist" not to.

Food gentrification?

That's some fine taste you have there, Ace.

I don't get why he decided to attack avacado toast when clearly Apple products and new cars are far worse.

>work in construction
>lease buildings
>if I can do it, you could too
>let's all just build and lease buildings
That's not how an economy works, mister GED

Kek. You mock me and imply I am uneducated but clearly miss the point. I learned a skill, worked my ass off and paid for those properties out of pocket. I made a living for myself through hard work and INVESTING my earnings instead of spending it on a bunch of stupid shit that will never pay for itself, much less make a profit.

>everyone can be millionaires!

How about butter and cheese?

eggs on toast is top quality breakfast. If you have enough time, cutting a hole in your bread and cooking the egg in the center of it in a pan is god tier.

Avacado toast is funnier.

Still mocking, mocking. What do you own? Nah, nah. That's not important. A better question is, have you ever asked yourself, what if everyone had their shit together, what if everyone had goals and refused to leave them unacheived? Probably not. You're stuck because you want to be, just like everyone else living check to check. I'll leave you to it, pard.

construction pays well for a shit job that will destroy your body by the time you're 40 unless you learn, and actually practice, safe lifting technique. Sadly, that's a lot more complicated when you're under pressure, as is common during a construction job. It's a practical job, like plumbing. Not many people want to do it, and it is based on the local economy doing well aka boom and bust. You lucked out in more ways than you realize. Still, it's noice that you're doing well. You're still a fuck head for being a braggart.

T. Geologist working a gold mining job making bank, while many geologists make shit, all because of luck.

I love cooking and hate fatty plants like avocado unless I'm using their oil for stir frying.

I'm a welder, my good sir. And the heavy lifting I do, I do well. Only work 120 days a year or so now, have the rest of the year to rest but also keep myself in proper shape. Working with metal is my passion as well as my occupation. I didn't luck out so much as I strived to be the best. And I am one of the top 10 in my country who doesn't wear scuba gear to work. That isn't luck. It's determination. The only way luck played a factor is that I got my entry to my company during the recession in 08. But if I hadn't been the best, it'd have gone to someone else.

As for being a fuckheaded, braggart, sure I am, on a Samoan microwave chat room. By all means I could be lying. It just rustles the fuck out of me when people my age are broke as shit and blaming someone else. I admit that not ALL people are stuck because they "want to be," that was extreme. It's because I worry about the example being set for my own kids, should I have any someday. But good on you for being among the elite in your profession, perhaps you're just damn good ALONG with lucky and need to recognize that.

>Veeky Forums - construction, trades and the economy

fucking white privilege.

fucking butthurt

Also in construction here. I'm co owner, but I was lucky, since it's a family company. Still bust my ass daily, and already have back, neck and shoulder pains and I'm only 26. Framing, drywall, plaster and stucco will do that to you after 10 years, though.

Really, really good money, though.

New cars are a boomer affectation

>has precisely the right genetics, environment, and luck to achieve all of this by a relatively young age
>takes credit for it
cringe lol

How much debt are you in
