call me a pleb but i have no interest in Faulkner and the pieces of him i have read i find to be the most overrated I've ever come across.

Maybe interesting to analyse but painful to try and read for any kind of pleasure and deeply pretentious overuse of "big" words.

>american education

I'm so sorry because he's so fucking cool but i seriously cannot stand his books. he wrote great letters btw

Go read the first 70 pages of the Sound and the Fury.

>dude i am a pirate lmao

Sound and fury my ass

>deeply pretentious overuse of "big" words.

Fuck off, Hemingway.

I feel that. The sound and fury sucked mad balls.

How? This opinion is really difficult for me to relate to

Seems comparable to hitting "random" on Wikipedia until you get bored.

People like him because he's based, but based =/= talented or good

You're not wrong, gentlemen.

I think he is talented but I'm really having a hard time reading GR
How did he manage to create something so confusing? Even simple things like describing a building, he is able to make it seem like he was trying to describe dark matter
But when it clicks is great tho

Most britbong writers
That fat guy who wrote the tunnel
I'm still not sure about Proust

Faulkner too. I haven't read any excerpts or anything, but I have a feeling he's bad.
