Environmental Assessment - lab
Advanced raster GIS - lab
Remote sensing - lab
Environmental Catastrophes - tutorial
Environmental Systems Modelling
3 units for everything

>15-20 credits a semester

Is this a """fulltime""" workload in Burgerland?

Our credits are worth more idiot. It's not the same system.

i've never seen an intelligent comment where the """"" meme was used

Depends on each university in the US, but at mine credits are based solely off how many hours you are in lecture per week. So 3 credits = 3 hours of lecture throughout one week, whether it be M/W/F for 60 minutes each or T/Th, etc. Some courses with recitations might be 4 or 5, but most don't past 2nd year at my uni.

Statics is fun at least, always nice to have a chill class

Introductory Entomology (4)
Organic Chemistry Lecture (3)
Organic Chemistry Lab (1)
Microbiology + Lab (4)

>calc 2

Do they not enforce prerequisites at your university? I'm in burgerland and I haven't ever heard of anyone doing 1 and 2 simultaneously.

I did Calc 1 over the summer, if that counts. It's not terribly difficult, but there's a decent amount of work and you cover like 3-4 sections a week. I did fine in it, you'll just need to set aside more time for homework than if you did a 16 week semester.

QM II
EM II

Intro to Mathematica (lol)

How do some of you have 6+ classes? Does your school not have a max credit limit per semester?

in my country almost everyone does 4 classes, thats a standard semester

Yeah most people at my uni do about 15 credits (4-5 classes), but the max is 18 for engineers and 20 for other majors here. I usually get like 17 but wish I could take more(EE). Probably limit it so people have to stick around as long as possible

What are credits? Is each credit an hour you have to spend at uni for a subject?

>most people at my uni do about 15 credits (4-5 classes), but the max is 18 for engineers
What the literal fuck? Maybe it's because I go to a top 20, but for my school 18-20 is typical for engineers and 24 is the limit.

1 credit = 1 hour in lecture per week
Are your credits the same thing though? Really is strange that there is a limit

>Are your credits the same thing though?
If you're in America, probably.

biopsychology
statistics
methodology
developmental psychology
cognition and perception(boring)
and workfields of psychology(boring)
that would be 35credits(we usually do 30per semester here)

How do you learn for all of them equally for good grades? Seems like a lot to me.

developmental psychology is a 2 semester course. so is perception and cognition.
however psychology is kinda easy.

Community College second semester
>Calc 2
>English 102
>Communications (Uni transfer prerequisite)
>Physics 221 or another prerequisite not sure yet

My Winter 2018 Schedule: (School is on the Quarter System. We have 3 10 Weeks Quarters a year)
>Programming Languages
>Compilers & Interpreters
>Artificial Intelligence
>Bullshit 102 Geography class my brother has the book for and said was easy.
4 units each although I doubt that the last one will take 4 units worth of my time.
Max load at my school is 20 but they only allow you to enroll in 16 until 2 weeks before classes start. I'm wait listed for Databases so depending on how many drop I might take that as well.

oh no.

>Real Analysis
>Thermodynamics/Statistical Mechanics
>Physics research
>Math Capstone
>Physics Capstone
>some bullshit classes

I'm so ready to graduate.

Differential equations.
Physics II: Waves .
Physics III: Electromagnetism.
Probability and statistics.
Introduction to materials science.

Any CS fags tell me how much the 1 or 2 discrete math classes you had to take actually mattered for the rest of your degree? for your work?

>Physics II: Waves .
>Physics III: Electromagnetism.
You have those flipped, nigger!

> is math important for CS

found the eternal codemonkey

Complex Analysis
Advanced Mechanics
Biology 101
3 non-math/science classes

I'm on trimesters so here's my winter schedule
>Mineralogy
>Paleontology
>Latin American Dictatorships for gen ed credit
>Scuba diving

...

My current semester is:
Physical Chemistry 1 (3 credits, 3 hours a week)
Physical Chemistry Lab 1 (1 Credit, 5-7 hours a week)
Calculus 3 (3 credits, 3 hours a week)
Analytical Chemistry (3 credits, 3 hours a week)
Shitty music lecture (3 credits, 3 hours a week)
Flute Ensemble: 1 credit, 1 hour a week
Marching Band: 1 credit, 3 hour a week
Jazz band: 0.5 credit, 2 hours a week
Private lesson: 0.5 credit, .5 hour a week
Independent study: 3 credits (really varies, Ive put in anywhere between 10 and 45 hours a week)
Pchem and calc r really kickin my ass, they are both with the hardest profs in their departments, and my calc prof makes exams outta 25 points so one algebra mistake brings you down half a letter grade.

My spring semester Im goin abroad, so Im takin it light:
Plant Physiology w/lab
Linear algebra
Environment and society
History 101

?

>Does your school not have a max credit limit per semester?
it doesn't have an upper limit, but you have to absolve 18 credits/two semesters or you'll get kicked of government scholarship

>What are credits?
>European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits are a standard means for comparing the "volume of learning based on the defined learning outcomes and their associated workload
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Credit_Transfer_and_Accumulation_System
it varies by country, but one credit is usually around 25-30 hours of approximated work during the whole semester

Linear Algebra
Data Structures
Formal Logic

>19 hours
Jesus fucking christ dude, why? Are you in a race to finish college?

Seminary about functional calculus (4)
Matrix algorithms (6)
Mathematical Image processing (6)
Computer Algebra (6)
Bounding methods (6)
Computer Engineering (6)
And lastly the absolute MEME class "Ethics for engineers", although I am not an engineer (2)

What are you talking about? In Germany you need about 30 ETCS per semester, which means 45 minutes per point per week. (I hope I got that right)
So all in all 22.5 hours/week so that you can graduate on time.
And even that is kinda a joke if you do not shitpost on Veeky Forums for 4+ hours a day or go partying

>So all in all 22.5 hours/week so that you can graduate on time.

Theoretically. But in reality you need mostly a bit more to graps the dense of the material.
Atleast at the TU.

>cs
>"muh discrete math is worthless"

in the workforce probably literally nothing, but the concepts are extremely basic and all of your future theory/algorithms classes will assume you're familiar with it

>amerifags crying because their 22h/week schedule is too much
>mfw I've had 35h every week for 3 years in EU

I would certainly agree to that.
I am also at a TU and I often had to invest a lot more time, especially in the first 2 semesters.

Analysis 1 (8)
Lin. Alg. 1 (8)
Accounting (2)
Investment and finance (8)
Economics 101 (4)

t.germanfag

whats the point of your degree?

Did that boi say calc 5?

Finance math.
80% math 20% economics
Using theory for problemsolving for example calculating risks etc.

no, I asked what's the point of getting your degree

Latex is the best.
You can do papers that look incredible.
I’m never going back to Word or Openoffice.

Latex is life

Studying math and have something for practical use

>studying math
>14h of useless shit in a week
>something practical
i'm afraid you've made a really bad decision and wasted your entire life

>wasted your entire life
mhhhh i dont think so, studying isnt my whole life
also dont project onto me

Phased Array Antennas
Electromagnetic Fields 2
Thesis hours

>calc 5

>experimental physics III (waves and optics)
>theoretical physics II (quantum mechanics)
>mathematics I (set theory)
>arabic a1

Shits a bit fucked. I have QM before having had theoretical physics I, due to cross entering from another uni.
Really need to learn how hamiltonian mechanics works Im starting to realize...

>amerimutts end the fall semester before december

Cal 3
Physics 1
Engineering intro
Honors intro
Honors seminar
Medieval European history
>Fell into the honors college meme for research opportunities and finishing core requirements

>tfw junior in honors program with perfect gpa and still can't get into research opportunities
doesn't help that the specialization I want to research in is nonexistent at my uni and no professors in my second choice have any spots open...

Yes.

Fundamentals of Analysis
Classical Mechanics
Electricity and Magnetism part II
Cosmology

Feels good to be on a quarter system, but I'm behind on the math since I declared the major late.

Diffeq
Statics
