Turnovers?

Put it on vanilla icecream

Make another pie

This

put it in ur dic

Cobbler, crumble, brown betty, or just stew them for breakfast with some bacon, eggs, biscuits & gravy.

eat it

I started doing this, then realized I basically had uncooked applesauce, so I added water and started cooking, and will probably end up doing this

Add it a few minutes to the end of cooking oatmeal. Then serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream in the center of the bowl. Best breakfast ever!

The actual pie, if anyone cares

Woops

Granny would approve

Nice.
Tell me your secrets now.

Looks wet

I used the crust recipe from here

It's currently cooling, and I won't be eating any until tomorrow.

Now I'm scared.

Put it in the fridge and tell yourself you'll do something with it later.
Come back in a week and find they're spoiled and then just toss them out.

You fucking know it's going to happen anyway.

Worst case scenario is soggy bottom but even with that it can taste great.

Pancakes!

Leave it near an ant nest.

vanilla ice cream in summer, crem onglay in winter.

Of this thread is still up tomorrow, I'd like to see a cross-sectional of the pie and how it tastes. Also a pic of the bottom crust too would be great.

Pie was bretty gud

Top shot looked suspect but thet's a damn fine cross-section, nice work.

Thanks. I think next time I will prebake the bottom just a little bit though. It wasn't soggy but it also wasn't as crispy as it could have been.

This sounds unholy delicious

wow, that looks good

Second this.

Makes so much sense that I don't even know why OP asked.

Now I want apple pie too.

I thought it would be wet as fuck but that is a damn good looking pie, minimal shrinkage and it's holding up without having a soggy bottom, would eat warm with some vanilla bean ice cream.
You should be proud user, not many people can do apple pies that look that good.

Combine with marscapone/ricotta cheese. Roll into ball. Cover with Graham cracker mix (add some clove, brown sugar, and cinnamon). Fry them in oil. Eat them motherfuckers. What your not going to eat, freeze and fry later.

Looks thicker than I'm used to but not bad

Bumping for the cross section
