Time is moving forward constantly at 1 second per second

>time is moving forward constantly at 1 second per second
AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
How do we stop it bros?

>feels like time is moving forward at 10 seconds per second

drop dead

Its because your brain is getting used to the things around you. Guess what, there is a way to make time feel slower. You can do it the normie way and travel around the world or you can do it the cool way and make your own terrorist group. Either of those things will slow time by ALOT.

>1 second per second
That's a unitless quantity, you fucking brainlet. Time isn't moving at a speed of 1.

Time is just the acceleration of matter

read Catch 22

Travel near lightspeed.
_You_ won't notice anything but us stay-at-homes will see you getting "left behind".

destroy all the clocks

orbit around black hole

go to sleep

Get at a speed near c.

Oh wait you already are and literally nothing happens. You and the entire humanity is fucked, son.

wow, didn't know you could be this retarded

Oh no's! distance is constantly moving at 1 mile per mile! How do we stop this!

Change to Kilometres.

"no"

That's my favorite book

Time still proceeds even without humans to measure it.

I can't imagine how you would think destroying the clocks would help, maybe from reading a study that people spend more time in clockless rooms stuffed with dopamine rewards (casinos) ?

>Time still proceeds even without humans to measure it.

But time is a man made concept.

Wtf I'm a terrorist now.

>Time isn't moving at a speed of 1.
Proofs?

Atomic clocks have gotten so good that just mounting clock A a few centimeters higher on the wall than clock B will cause it to 'tick' at a different rate. Relativity. Difference in gravity field.

There's no 'universal' time. Newton thought there was. Einstein showed there isn't.

reality doesnt exist without an observer

like babies with peekaboo

I've sometimes wondered what people who truly believe this think was going on before humans evolved.
_How_ did humans evolve if there was no "reality".

The next logical step leads to the Paradox of Wigner's Friend. George makes an observation and collapses the wave-function of Schrodinger's Cat. But Susan can open the lab door and collapse George's wave-function. And then Bill can open...
Infinite regress.
This leads to solipsism and insanity.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that everything moves through space-time at the same rate. Something moving through space very quickly, or something that exists in warped space-time will move through time more slowly in relation to an object in an inertial reference frame and flat space time.

ZA WARUDO!!!!

Your _total_ motion through space-time can't be changed. You are 100% right in that. But your "rate of motion" through space can change and, inevitably, so can your "rate of motion" through time.

On a Minkowski diagram, the X axis represents movement in space; 1 unit = 300,000 km. The Y axis represents movement in time: 1 unit = 1 second. The length of any line drawn is called "interval" (Fudging this a bit. Look up "interval" in any good text on Relativity. Actual definition too long to explain here.)

Interval is an invariant. Everyone computes the same value. Interval separates any two events; Like your stepping on the gas and your running into a tree. But different observers will measure different amounts of space and different amounts of time between those points.

A good analog is two surveying parties making maps. One orients using True North and the other Magnetic North. The relative locations of two mountains will be different on the two maps. Different east-west. Different north-south. But all will agree on the _distance_ between the mountains. Distance is an invariant.

He's right though, it's a unitless quantity
