Why can't we italicise on this board? Other boards have their own little things relevant to their subject, why not this?

That's a good question.
Bump for interest.

Yo that's a good idea, OP. You smart

Just put ~the squiggly lines~, bereh

Seconded. Would be nice to have underlines, bolded lettering, etc

The context of the sentence alone should be enough. Italics are only useful for pointing out important bits to undiscerning readers.

>needing a special way to draw attention to a specific point in your text

desu maybe you should just learn how to write better lmao

Why don't YOU just CAPITALIZE like THIS, faggot?

FAGGOT!

Please emphasize THIS

That would be a nice feature.

you can construct a sentence so as to emphasize a part of it without resorting to typographical emphasis

Your a faggot

Example?

That is true, but as with rhetoric beauty and nuance, it would be hard to find the option detrimental.

mmmmm... these pretzels are makin' me thirsty!

Now where have I seen such an implication before?

You're*

not fair you capitalized "I"

haha

>proselets needing typography to express themselves better

just kys you are selves already

...

It looks bad

so does YOUR mother yet I still SODOMIZED her

What are you screaming for?

mods pls do it
i'm going to make this thread every day until we get what we want

I'd be OK with italics, not so with bold or underline.

this board has spoilers
do other boards have that?

/tv/ does
probably weeb boards too

the anime f/a/gs have it

every board has spoilers nerds
italics seems like a little much imo

No, the majority of boards don't have spoilers. Quite a lot do though.

Doesn't Veeky Forums get extra characters for posts? I tried to edit a copypasta here for another board but it was like two posts over there.

Every board with a narrative-driven medium has spoiler tags.

but /v/ has spoiler tags and /mu/ doesn't

>/mu/
>narrative driven medium

You think that was the only problem with his post?

It was the biggest one
