ITT: Unconventional flavor combos that actually work

...

user, what the hell?
Have you legitimately eaten this, tell me you haven't

you've had a chocolate cheesecake before haven't you? nutella with cream cheese maybe?
It's the same thing basically. Pasta's neutral so it doesn't contribute any additional flavor

Yeah that does sound pretty good now, I'll have to try it.

If you consume that dish once a week for your entire life you'll probably die 20 years earlier. That amerifat amount of nutella is just disgusting

Dabs and an IPA

Yes, but what about the parmesan?

...

That's mozzarella

just eyeballing that i put it in the 1k-1300 calorie range with almost no protein lmao

>mozzarella
which has aged more than a year...

kimchi/cheddar cheese

that's not that weird, OP. chocolate and cheese plus bread?

Fuck off and never ever return here

(((Tons of flavor)))

>tons
>not tonnes

>not knowing the different between weight and volume

This isn't that unconventional but i've only started doing it. Brie or other soft and creamy cheeses with jams or honey.

*puke*
stop ruining food

jam or honey with salad / cheese such as brie or goat cheese is GOAT

t. frenc gastronomy restaurants

>looks like normal meat and tomato sauce on noodles with some shredded cheese
>how is this unconven-
>click picture
>chocolate

this is quite common
too bad brie is expensive

You need to beheaded...

coffee and beef
did it with hamburgers one time, turned out better than I thought
still haven't perfected the application yet.

fat fucks are not know for their intelligence

>they've never eaten steak with jam

Oh boy. It's like you people have never truly lived.

chicken nuggets with syrup or fries with syrup
oddly enough pancakes with bbq sauce does not work very well. it tastes a bit off.

marmite, penutbutter and pickle spread

maple syrup and unsweetened cocoa

pizza
with pineapple

Friend of mine used to make spaghetti with butter and peanut butter. Called it "hobo pasta".

Wasn't as bad as you'd think. That may have been because I was really drunk when I had it though. He did it toward the end of his paycheck before his next one would come in. Now the dude makes 90k and the days of hobo pasta are long behind us.

Didn't take a picture, but I had a burger with white chocolate ganache as a topping along with candied bacon, it was actually really good.

Might try out that nutella pasta thx OP

Chicken and waffles

anyone else here put whipped cream on their fruit loops and cheese?

this is incredibly common

He didn't say uncommon, he said unconventional.

remove the cheese and it would be fine, given that the Pasta wasn't boiled in salted water

chocolate and salt go together, see salted caramel

macaroni and cheese + ketchup

Hot dog with peanut butter .

...

caramel isnt chocolate

this is very common in Sweden, i guess what's unconventional for some, it's conventional for others

thats good stuff

The brie isn't even melted...

this, the jam can't be overly sweet tho

Spaghetti and scrambled eggs. Works great for any meal. I love eggs but eating four plain eggs is like eating snot. Season with salt, pepper and add some cheese.

Coffee and salt. Perfect when you've got a hangover

Throw a little bacon or capicola or panchetta on that and you've got Carbonara

nobody has salted caramel on its own, it's a flavor of chocolate

*smacks lips*
confort food

IF MY GRANDMOTHER HAD WHEELS SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN A BIKE

Fries makes sense. Same principle of putting them in milkshakes. Salt + sweet = good.
Not sure about the chicken though.

no, no you don't

egg shouldn't be fully cooked like that in a carbonara

...

Do you even know what the words salted, caramel, or chocolate mean?

speaking of which
i have recently found out about combo i like so far
which is a pumpkin jam (macedonian type if you are european) with brie
i have tried it with several different bries from typical store bought ones to some of the more expensive and its amazing
in jam you get sweet but not too sweet and most importantly a little bit of bitter flavour if its done properly just a little bit and it blends with brie soo good
I reccomend it
also obviously cranberry and cherry jams are just amazing

nigger please what is that

like watching other dudes bang your wife isn't conventional everywhere else either

So basically an actual Italian carbonara made wrong

Peanut butter and cabbage sandwich.

i can believe it simply because peanutbutter celery is great, but that is a shitload of cabbage

blueberries and mushrooms sauteed in butter. add salt and sage to taste

Chocolate dipped pickles.
Your brain says no, but your taste buds will say OH YES, BABY.

I recommend using pickle spears and not whole pickles, because you want an even pickle to chocolate ratio. Don't do what's in the pic. Also, yes, use dill pickles.

Peanut sauces are nothing new and, given the right ratios, might be rather good with a spaghetti.

I was going to say something about how Kimchi was abhorrent to Americans and cheese was abhorrent to Koreans, but it turns out that cheese imports have started booming in South Korea in the last few years. T HE M O R E Y O U K N O W

Yep, hasn't anyone here had spicy peanut sauce noodles before? It's a pretty common dish where I live, and I live in the US.

Reeeeeee

Chicken and hot buttered popcorn. Don't know why it works but it does.

I can see the chicken working, it'd be simmilar to chicken and waffles

One think I like to eat is pickles and plain chips. This is probably common, but Ive only recently discovered that I love pickles, and a bite of pickle with a bite of crunchy kettle chip is wonderful with a sandwitch or even by itself as a snack

Porkchops and applesauce

thank you so fucking much

that's not unconventional.
warm brie with berries is common
as are grapes or figs paired with all kinds of cheeses

where are you from that this is not normal?

you forgot the cream and the knorr stock cubes

>pickles and plain chips

You should try adding a layer of pickles and a layer of chips on a tuna salad sandwich the next time you make it. Sounds weird but it really works.

Peanut butter on pork chops.

his idea of cheese is probably pic related

so long as youre using actual maple syrup and not that corn syrup garbage i can see this being good
youve had maple-glazed pork or chicken before havent you? not all that different

>pizza, pepperoni, mush, onion, grilled shrimp, bbq, mozz
>they thought i was insane
>I loved it
>they werent wrong

>choco pickle chips

Pastas might have a neutral flavor, but it has a definite starchy flavor that is not like bread. Also, the cream cheese in cheese cake is sweetened and also it's milk based which goes with chocolate just fine.

Sometimes i spread peanut butter on waffles and then still pour the maple syrup on them. Extremely sweet but I love it.

Tuna and honey

Recently a friend of mine told me to put black pepper on melon, and it is very amazing

you should definitively try it if you have some good melons

Why is some of the pasta brown and discolored?

Should I throw a bit of hot dog meat in the mix? Perhaps makes a creamy sauce for it next time using water, cream of chicken and t h i c c cream?

For me Mozzarella cheese with a Sprite/7up is the same thing as chocolate and milk

Pizza with pakoras and chili sauce is a particular vice of mine

>chicken and waffles
>unconventional

Now this is what you call a perfect combination.

>yo dawg, we heard you like starch

Deep fried camembert with warm cloudberry jam

that might be the fanciest goddamn thing ive ever seen

Yeah except I don't know what either of those things tastes like nor do I even know what they are

choco pickle rick? is that you?

post her nudes

I live in fucking California of all places and do this shut the fuck up there is nothing odd about this

Yeah, but Cali is full of faggots and weirdos so that statement is a moot point

you mean portland, right?

Nigger I live in the second most expensive community in Southern California.
