I'll start.

Similar subject matter (being young, lost and detached), kid on the album cover is pretty much exactly how I imagine Holden Caufield.
What's the book equivalent of this?
fucking AWFUL matching

KEEP ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN ROLLIN.
What's yours?
IT'S JUST ONE OF THOSE DAYS WHEN the so-called ‘psychotically depressed’ person DON'T WANNA WAKE UP who tries to kill herself doesn’t do so out of quote ‘hopelessness’ or any abstract conviction that life’s assets and debits do not square.
...
Gravity's Rainbow and the entire Ween discography.
Nice. Thanks.
I want /mu/ out of Veeky Forums
k now I know I shouldn't waste time that book then.
What, what is this music?
where has this been my whole life
Dunno but it pretty much sounds exactly like the Fats Waller soundtrack from Eraserhead.

Not an album, but you get the idea
Perfect.
I would love to find an album that will give me the kind of vibe this book had on me.

there are multiple albums like that one, all of them are caretaker's. try this one as well:
>comparing Pessoa to amateur ambient
Okay, mention a better album and I'll gladly listen to it (:
>not SMiLE sessions
Flatland
nope
I don't listen to "albums", OP.
I can't think of a book, but it reminds me of Twin Peaks
recommend me a book based on this album please, lads
Fuck off baby boomer.
Gas - Zauberberg
Nice
pardon?
kek
>omg I was totally born in le wrong generation
Not OP, but that's the most insipid album to match Pessoa's Book of Disquiet.

this is one of my favorite albums what is a book that you feel connects
...
Anything DFW has got to be either Sufjan Stevens or Neutral Milk Hotel.
Was Earth inspired by Blood Meridian??
I never claimed it was a match
Well, you're out of this thread's purpose then.
Not really, I already posted a comparison.
the guy in OP's pic related looks like the guy on the cover of brave new world.
nice match
what does mescaline has to do with plants?
It's a psychedelic album, kiddo.
comfy as fuck
Well they should match. Caretaker composed the OST to this: imdb.com
I was gonna say this one, nice
Made from cactus
This is a great comparison actually
forgot pic
That's just Wagner-lite.
The album that that user posted: Hex or printing the infernal method was inspired by blood meridian. Every song is named after a sentence in the book, and Earth's new music inspired in Ennio Morricone's compositions for western were reimagined with the atmosphere of Blood Meridian. By the way, a friend of mine met Bret Nelson after a concert and apparently he is really into Stanislaw Lem.

Read through American Psycho the week prior, the music fits perfectly. I love you.
Obligatory
There's not a recording of it, but Tavener (one of the other sacred minimalists) wrote a piece for bass-baritone, cello and orchestra which is a music representation of Ivan Ilych
hegel was more a bach fan and thought beethoven was already a bit degenerated
Nice to know, I'll look it up. Thanks mate.
It's uncanny
Source?

American psycho has its own soundtrack right in the book though.
