This is accurate. People adhere to this ideology due to pure dick measurement. They feel the need to prove that they dislike the state, so what's the most "anti-state" ideology? And then they become ancaps without even thinking about how anarcho-capitalism would work.

I was losing him. “Listen, I’ll pay you to stop!” I yelled. “What would you consider an appropriate price point for stopping? I’ll offer you a thirteenth of an ounce of gold and a gently worn ‘Bob Barr ‘08’ extra-large long-sleeved men’s T-shirt!”

He turned. In his hand was a revolver that the Constitution said he had every right to own. He fired at me and missed. I pulled my own gun, put a quarter in it, and fired back. The bullet lodged in a U.S.P.S. mailbox less than a foot from his head. I shot the mailbox again, on purpose.

“All right, all right!” the man yelled, throwing down his weapon. “I give up, cop! I confess: I took the bitcoins.”

“Why’d you do it?” I asked, as I slapped a pair of Oikos™ Greek Yogurt Presents Handcuffs® on the guy.

“Because I was afraid.”

“Afraid?”

“Afraid of an economic future free from the pernicious meddling of central bankers,” he said. “I’m a central banker.”

I wanted to coldcock the guy. Years ago, a central banker killed my partner. Instead, I shook my head.

“Let this be a message to all your central-banker friends out on the street,” I said. “No matter how many bitcoins you steal, you’ll never take away the dream of an open society based on the principles of personal and economic freedom.”

He nodded, because he knew I was right. Then he swiped his credit card to pay me for arresting him.

Knowing that "anarcho-capitalism" is an oxymoron has nothing to do with "my ideology," that is, I am not a Marxist, Socialist or Communist. The belief in it is an expression of your own unconscious ideology: you refuse to recognize that capitalism cannot exist in the absence of private property, which can't exist absent the state.

Anarchy as talked about by ancaps isn't the fairy tale where people will stop trying to boss each other and no "structures of power" will exist. It's the lack of an institution that thrives on breaching property. Anarchy etymollogically means "lack of ruler", so it's not really absurd to say "anarchocapitalism" if it means an ideology that theorises a capitalist society with no obligatory, forceful ruler. You are only ruled by your own objective conditions.

The notion that private property exists by virtue of its privacy, i.e. that any thing I own is my "private" property, endowed with special significance by the moral necessity of the NAP. The problem is that this conception of property does not fit with anarchism: since it is your general "right" to own property (in given circumstances e.g. homesteading) others are duty-bound to recognize that right. This sort of deontological foundation for rights needs some approximation of the state to satisfy it: there must be some sort of mediator to ensure that other persons acknowledge your right to your private property. This is why "anarcho-capitalism" is self-contradictory.
