Reminder that Tesla routinely called Einstein a moron and even Edison called him retarded

Reminder that Tesla routinely called Einstein a moron and even Edison called him retarded

Yeah well Newton said you're mom sucks eggs

Tesla on relativity:

“a beggar wrapped in purple whom ignorant people take for a king...a mass of error and deceptive ideas violently opposed to the teachings of great men of science of the past and even to common sense… the theory wraps all these errors and fallacies and clothes them in magnificent mathematical garb which fascinates, dazzles and makes people blind to the underlying errors…. its exponents are very brilliant men, but they are metaphysicists rather than scientists. Not a single one of the relativity propositions has been proved.”

Tesla was a brainlet that had a pre-Maxwellian view of electromagnetism. The fact he didn't understand relativity should be a given.

Telsa didn't say that u cuk

Reminder that Tesla gave his billion-dollar patent away for free because a businessman asked him nicely, and spent the last years of his life in poverty before dying in some shithole hotel. Also,

>google "tesla"
>Nikolai isn't even on the first page, it's all articles about cars

MUSKED

what did this guy invent that was original?

Tesla predates einstein by a good amount of time.

He had a hand in just about every system and device that you used to post that. He didnt bring us the computer or electronics, but he laid the groundwork for almost every single system that uses electricity today. They recently awarded him the patent for radio communications(long after he died) when it was discovered that Marconi stole his ideas.

They were alive during an overlapping period of time moron.

Yes he did. Its a documented historical fact. Tesla did a lot of amazing shit but he was not this infallible genius the conspiracy nuts make him out to be. He had flaws, one of which was believing Einstein was wrong, and he died penniless, alone, insane, and in love with a fucking pigeon.

He absolutely did.

Cars built on tech Tesla invented.

Everything you see with a power cord or on/off switch.

Einstein is a thieving piece of shit who stole everything he's famous for from Poincare, among other people.

He couldn't pass a fucking college entrance exam, and you absolute idiots think he was a genius.

The AC induction motor.
All modern electrical (not electronic) infrastructure is built on his work -- despite Edison's smear campaign to discredit AC in favor of his own DC system.

He was a very good electrical engineer, a lousy businessman, and no physicist at all. The mathematical theory behind AC is mainly the work of Steinmetz.

He did NOT invent a death ray, antigravity, or free energy.

>Einstein is a thieving piece of shit who stole everything he's famous for from Poincare
e = mc^2 is 100% einstein

go back to /pol, moron

Tesla was an engayneer, I rest my case.

>who was galileo ferraris

Lol this.
Fuck Tesla, most overrated 'genius' ever.

Ummm, alternating current

>he died penniless, alone, insane

that makes him a bad person to you

your values tell a lot about you, and as such your opinions should be taken with a grain of salt.

>He did NOT invent a death ray, antigravity, or free energy.

And therefor was at least a little bit batshit insane.

Hippolyte Pixii

He wound up insane. No one denies that.
But, SFAIK, he never claimed to have invented a death ray, antigravity, or free energy.
So don't hold the nuttery of the clowns who believe he did those things (only to have them suppressed by Government and Industry) against him.

BTW: Tesla wasn't above a bit of showmanship. The famous photo of him sitting calmly in a chair while artificial lightning crackles around him is a fake. Double exposure. He sat there while the juice was off.

Interesting. Hadn't heard of Pixii. He's to be congratulated for looking into AC. But his machine looks nothing like Tesla's motor. No rotating magnetic field.

>no rotating magnetic field
>dynamo was a spinning magnet

>No one denies that.

Well, you SAY that... Some of his fanbois deny it adamantly. But then they are a little insane as well.

yes, he's a pioneer but his device wasn't practical.

Two more reasons to like Einstein.

Electricity. :^)

The dude was also a foreveralone virgin. Coincidence?
>Tesla never married, explaining that his chastity was very helpful to his scientific abilities.[228] He once said in earlier years that he felt he could never be worthy enough for a woman, considering women superior in every way. His opinion had started to sway in later years when he felt that women were trying to outdo men and make themselves more dominant. This "new woman" was met with much indignation from Tesla, who felt that women were losing their femininity by trying to be in power. In an interview with the Galveston Daily News on 10 August 1924 he stated, "In place of the soft voiced, gentle woman of my reverent worship, has come the woman who thinks that her chief success in life lies in making herself as much as possible like man—in dress, voice and actions, in sports and achievements of every kind ... The tendency of women to push aside man, supplanting the old spirit of cooperation with him in all the affairs of life, is very disappointing to me".[233] Although he told a reporter in later years that he sometimes felt that by not marrying, he had made too great a sacrifice to his work,[33] Tesla chose to never pursue or engage in any known relationships, instead finding all the stimulation he needed in his work.

Einstein on Tesla:

"cuck"

that what any experimental scientists would say about math hacks

is it not a sign of arrogance to call one retarded? is arrogance not a sign of the lesser mind, or even jealousy?

Once you reach max level, you stop leveling.
It's relevant.

... Ultimate guide.

They have to know what you are translating || you have to have huge space in there.

Cognitive pattern rendered by tessellation with proper dithering can be important.

One can't check it, we still not have some information equity. We will see who is equal more then, rendering equality obsolete.

This right here, Maxwell also being among those people. Einstein gave the world absolutely nothing but a flawed postulate.

>He had flaws, one of which was believing Einstein was wrong.

Yeah that's right, he was so wrong that the FBI personally came and stole all his work after he died because they were scared that he would encourage such wrong ideas. And no the shill "" story isn't how it happened. They had at least two deputy directors from the FBI investigate the matter and Telsa's nephew was to inherit all of his work. They just used the Office of Alien Property Custodian as a convenient excuse to seize it and then later test to works contained in it courtesy of John Trump.

But of course it was just to prove to the world that he was "wrong".

Correct, but even Einstein turned to Steinmetz. In fact I'd wager to say that he was smarter than both of them combined, he deserves far more credit than either of them.

The "death ray" was merely his "scalar wave" idea, he was just trying to sell the idea to the military industrial complex.

about the motor
but he really had no clue about the nature of what he invented.

>friendly reminder that the wild west days of science are over and you will never been that one lone genius who will be written about long after your death

best you can hope for is being apart of a team that does something big, but no one will remember you or any your team members names. They will just remember that some big corporation that employed you did that thing.

tesla is a retard who didn't do or understand anything, even thinking about him is the equivalent to treating a comment in a conspiracy theory youtube video, as absolute truth.

>brushless electrical machines
>fluorescent lamp
>neon lamp
>electronic microscope
>radio
>x-ray machine
>remote control
>tesla coil
>tesla valve

>Yeah that's right, he was so wrong that the FBI personally came and stole all his work after he died because they were scared that he would encourage such wrong ideas
No, they came to seize his notes and lab equipment because Tesla had claimed to have created a death ray with global reach. Since Tesla was successful in many of his electrical endeavors, writing this off as nonsense and letting that information fall into the wrong hands(assuming it was factual) could have world ending consequences. Yes Tesla built a lot of amazing shit, and could be considered a genius by many metrics. However, he claimed to have built time machines and antigravity machines, the latter of which he left a schematic for. If you cant tell just by looking(or by listening to Teslas claims about it) that its crackpot science, then you are too far off the deep end already, and nothing i can say will convince you that Tesla was anything short of the second coming of Christ.

Fuck no, Hassabis will be remembered forever.
What you're saying may be true for the physical sciences, because they're done and shit. As much as Veeky Forums hates to admit it AI IS the new wild west in science.

He actually was a con-art who memed himself into the role of le mad scientist. There are numerous storys where he was using his reputation to get shit for free/not paying his bills. He basically told the people he owed money to that he was going to build them an awesome device as compensation, and, of course, never delievered. He also tried to scam the american and british government out of millions with his retarded "death ray" gun.

Basically, he wasn't much different from let's say Andrea Rossi, a physicist who is trying to scam people for millions with his fake cold fusion generators.

The only reason why Tesla actually had success in memeing himself into the "he actually invented everything, you just dont know about it"-man, despite not having accomplished that many remarkable things, is because several groups of people projected different things onto him. First there were the lefties, who projected class struggle onto him. He, the hard working, honest "laborer", who is exploited by the vicious "capitalist" Edison. But today, it is more the geeks who are projecting their self-image of thinking they are very smawts, just not getting the recognition they actually deserve, on Tesla.

expect for the things he is known for like relativity

he can only really be credited with the last three though.

What about it is momentum, really?

Are you implying he never invented anything? Yes, you could argue he was scamming people but that doesnt mean he never invented anything. Wardenclyffe tower is a great example of both. He obtained funding for a radio transmitter capable of transmitting a signal across the Atlantic and thought “i can do better than that” so he attempted, however futile, to transmit electrical power across the globe. Of course this is impossible but its not like he just claimed responsibility for building it, or that it was never actually built. Theres photographic evidence. You can say he was a con artist all you want but that doesnt change the fact that he did have some remarkable inventions.

Ah, you mean the tower where he got roughly 40 million 2016 dollars from JP Morgan, and all he did with it was build a wooden tower? Yeah, thats totally not an example of his con-artiness.

Interesting though, examples of Tesla screwing people over are circulated as funny tidbits out of his life, showing his unique character, while examples of Edison screwing people over are just further proof of how despicable and evil he is.

I still like Tesla but Einstein>Tesla

Why does it seem like everyone has different ideas about who stole what ideas from whom? Why is there no consensus on a board about science? Did nobody ever bother to date anything they wrote or patented until the 1960's?

tesla was a monkey that mindlessly smashed two rocks together and is now praised for inventing fire

You hate him because he was Jewish.

>hurrr X stole from Y

It's literally always been like that though. Nobody knew or cared about physicists back in the 1910s or whatever, Einstien was an exception. Usually it was the inventors who cucked them such as Marconi and Edison that got the fame. Still happens today, millenials seriously believe that Steve Jobs invented the home computer.

EE Chads vs Physics Virgins

it wasn't mentioned yet, but three phase systems was another of tesla's inventions.

>Polyphase power systems were independently invented by Galileo Ferraris, Mikhail Dolivo-Dobrovolsky, Jonas Wenström, John Hopkinson and Nikola Tesla in the late 1880s.

"this invention of mine does not contemplate the use of any so-called 'death rays."-Tesla

Stop calling it "death ray" you moron, that is a title that the New York Times gave it (not surprising). Not to mention that the FBI had PLENTY of time to confiscate said blueprints, but for some reason they just let him slide for 10 years. He could have (and if he were younger probably would have) given those plans to the russians or anyone else interested.

>If you cant tell just by looking(or by listening to Teslas claims about it) that its crackpot science, then you are too far off the deep end already, and nothing i can say will convince you that Tesla was anything short of the second coming of Christ.

You never read what I said I guess so let me repeat it i nthis reply:

T. Steinmetz, who like I said was smarter than both Einstein and Tesla combined.

>le marconi and edison stole inventions meme XD

steinmetz was a manlet who deserves no recognition. pretty sure the little faggot was the inspirational basis for the midget from x-men.

>virgins on an anime forum dissing Tesla

has science gone too far?

Tesla died broke because he saved Westinghouse from going under. Westinghouse was one of Nick's closest friends and spent the previous decade bankrolling Tesla's (sometimes crackpot) ideas. Tesla was the worst kind of autist to work with, he didn't write shit down, he'd spend a bunch of money on building something and wouldn't tell anyone what it was, then when it didn't do anything he'd just throw it away. Edison knew that and thought Tesla was a retard for it. Westinghouse actually liked the guy and didn't care.

He was crippled with hunchback and hip dysplasia and is the only reason you have power to power your shitposting device you fuck.

and there's a thousand faggots before him i can thank for where we are today. fuck steinmetz.

Ok, lets say you are right. Tesla stole everything. Who actually invented:
>the tesla coil
>the tesla turbine
>the tesla valve

If your answer is anything along the lines of
>i dunno, the jews covered it up in the history books
Then you are clearly retarded.

>the creative work is derivative so therefore the work is of no merit.

Why insult anyone then? What chip on your shoulder do you have against Steinmetz anyway? Did you get cucked by a cripple or something? At least he invented something unlike "One stone", who invented absolutely nothing and whose theory desperately continues to patch all the holes it's acquired over the years with even more made up giberish.

Tesla was a brainlet engineer. Einstein was a scientist.

None of these inventions are even remotely useful. Why the fuck should I care about this bullshit? It's like fishys that glow in the dark or some useless shit created by some japanese inventor.

didn't he patent like a refrigerator or something? anyway the gps wouldn't of been possible without relativity
>inb4 brainlet-tier response about how gps can work without relativity.

Damn, what does that make you then?

ohoooooo, fuckin got em

>didn't he patent like a refrigerator or something?

should have stopped reading right there but the next one takes the cake.

>anyway the gps wouldn't of been possible without relativity.

That's why satellites always stay in orbit with no correction whatsoever right?

What are you on about? GPS satellites are in geostationary orbit (~35,000km above surface level), which is high enough in Earth's gravity well relative to the surface that time dilation becomes a factor. GPS location tracking would be consistently off by hundreds of meters if it weren't for corrections using relativity.

>MUSKED
I Brekkek Kekkeked at this one

>tesla turbine
>useful
Pick exactly 2.

>He couldn't pass a fucking college entrance exam
He did poorly in the humanities, things irrelevant to his field.

>stole everything he's famous for from Poincare, among other people
Would you be specific here?

Tesla deserves credit where it's due, he did do great things, but he was also the very epitome of a man who trusted his own theories without testing them properly. Or just knew how to convince people his ideas would work. If you read any well documented account of his life, you'll also see that he was perhaps one of histories greatest shills.

>loner genius
>shill
pick one, he just built crazy awesome shit alone
Edison was a major shill, DC was clearly inferior but he fought hard for DC power

kek
How interesting. So what you're saying is that this German Steinmetz is smarter than his contemporaries, the Jewish Einstein and Serbian Tesla, combined. You should visit us at /pol/ friend, we need men like you.

t. every experimentalist speaking of theoreticians and their respective theories

You infer that means bad when user could have simply been using it to illustrate the fact that tesla was at least as unstable and retarded as everyone else if not much more so.

That's a vast oversimplification and ignores the relationship Tesla and Westinghouse had for years. Was it a wise choice? Debatable, but it's a bit misleading to word it like you have, without further context.

Yeah, so?

>Brainlet shills using /pol/ as an "argument" every time someone says something that hurts your feewees

The original McChicken

>Not a single one of the relativity propositions has been proved
*slowly decays ur muons*

So it's an obstruction to the real question, which is whether or not he's a good scientist. You are too biased an observer to have a valuable opinion.

A highschooler knows more than that brainlet I hate how much he is glorified.

If only people weren't this dumb this world would have been amazing.

/r9k/ as fuck

You're average highschooler can't point to where canada is on a map and thinks weed cures cancer.

Tesla made a handful of relevant contributions and he should be commended for them... the problem is he has a rabid, steampunk-obsessed, internet fanbase who worships the ground he walked on and think he secretly invented everything from radio to radiation and that the only reason we aren't all living in flying cities is because eeeeeeeeeeevil entrepreneurs like Edison shit on his free energy dream.

Tesla was an okay scientist.

>it's just a plant bro
>it's got less chemicals that coca cola
>I can't go to canada, I don't know french
>it was just the tip
