What is the best pepper?

What is the best pepper?

Black pepper

poblano

Pepperoni

based
I'm partial to ancho.

The one you can eat.

roquito

serrano. not too hot. not too mild. consistent heat

peperoncinos are addicting af, i would easily eat an entire jar if i had no self control desu

do you eat the stems too? I do

no, but i suck the flavor out of them

Cayenne

Cascabel

Jalapeno

the j's like an h, Ricky

Depends really but my top 3 are cayenne, serrano and habanero.

Dr.

Always been partial to growing cayennes and turning them into powder.

this or bell peppers

For sauces; dragon cayenne, habanero, or ghost pepper

Scotch Bonnet desu. Has the best flavour out if everything I've tried, and with the seeds removed its not too hot.

>No one says fatalli

I guess no one likes good flavor AND heat?

I need to expand my pepper horizons desu. Are they easy to find?

jalapenos for everyday use, haberenos to spice it up

sichuan peppercorns for that mouthfeel

Best pepper for making chilli with? I want something with a nice flavour.

Cayenne is my favorite as well.

Preferably powdered or in a vinegar hot sauce.

Dried: Cayenne

Fresh: Jalapeno. Love the name, love that beautiful color. Just hearing the word or seeing one really gets me going. Habanero is a close second for the same reasons

I use cayenne, but you a tomatillo pork chili with and soy sauce instead of chicken broth would be good. I just thought of it, though, I have been meaning to try chexican food.

I fucking love pepperoncini, especially stuffed with goat cheese

???

TFW no habenero(especially in hot sauce)

This one's alright

trader joe's actually has a really good habenero, just got the pain is good stuff in it is yummy

i keep trying new hotsauces, but i went and bought this one twice

that sounds like it would be good, but theres just something i love about the simplicity of the pepper and the vinegar

I like roasted habaneros but they taste like almost nothing if eaten raw

Jalapeno is the undisputed king. Forget all the hipster faggots and their gay sauces.

Yep.

Jalapenos have this distinct flavor I love.

Inconsistent heat though. Sometimes you get one that's 5x hotter than normal.

...

as much as i love my peperoncinos, jalapenos are amazing desu

Ancho are dried poblano.

doctor

Morita
I can (and have) eaten them roasted in olive oil by their own

I got this one, from puckerbutt
It's habanero, very basic taste, not very hot

this

Serrano, because of the planty taste

arbol peppers are the best. why does nothing but mexican taco sauce use them?

I love the taste of jalapeno.

Every habanero hot sauce or dish I've tried has this nasty metallic taste to it. Anyone else feel this way about them or am I alone?

I've never had habenero, but I really like Jalapenos, I take all the seeds out of course, they are super sweet and tasty, I've heard people say the same about habenero, but I haven't tried them,

I should try them sometime.

What's the best way to prepare a habenero pepper?

Jalapenos I like to grill with cheddar,
or stuff with cream cheese,
or wrap in bacon.

Would I just do the same with habenero?

depends on what you're aiming for.

I always have Thai chillies, habaneros, jalapenos and poblanos growing in pots in my living room. I've recently grown a Carolina Reaper plant and started some Chocolate Bhutlah seeds.

The Reapers, despite their heat, are very flavourful. Great in curries and chilli where a lot of the heat will be lost to cooking time and fat/oil content.

Habanero goes wonderfully with sweet things, but is a strange flavor of its own. It's really good in a sort of fruity sauce. Mango Habanero is common, for example.

Also, I have made Habanero poppers, and let me tell you right now, that is not how God intended them to be eaten. Let poblanos and jalapenos be stuffed, but leave habaneros out of your stuffing repertoire.

How do you grow them at home? Do they attract a lot of bugs?

>jalapeno
>Tobasco
>cayenne
>cancerpepper

>habanero "pepper"

Habanero but I'm partial to serranos and chipotle.

Good soil, the occasional pH test, a bit of plant food, lots of water until they start sprouting peppers.

Wasps love them. It's a small price to pay... my Venus Fly Traps are digging the wasps.

The most basic answer also happens to be the most correct

Same. Serranos are great in soup and salsa especially

No such thing. Every pepper has its purpose. This is a shitty thread OP. Go back to sucking cocks.

cancerpepper?

This, considering they are also technically chipotle peppers. Powdered chipotle is my "secret" to great barbecue.

Sgt.Pepper

the best pepper indeed

Why has nobody mentioned ghost pepper?
>tastes amazing
>adds a great amount of heat even in small quantities
