No comp hardware/arch engineer uses a fucking soldering iron for their job

I don't even know what to say right now.

>BWC

...

Researcher in AI is really interesting and not brainlet tier but you may never touch a computer and ask indians to code it for you.

Inventing a computer program that creates money and vaginas out of thin air.

...

i know i'll get chewed out, but i'd say game developing because you can do programming, 3d modeling, and a bunch of other stuff if you're actually professional about it, like learning how a rendering system works, physics simulation, and the creative aspect of setting up a scene/envrionment. it's a double entendra of creativity and applied knowledge.

Physics

's pic has a Screwdriver, not a Soldering Iron

And Computer Hardware Engineers definitely use Screwdrivers to attach the hardware together inside PC cases & gadgets.

do you guys know the difference between engineering and engineering technology?

that's not what double entendre is spelled like and not even what double entendre means
but nice try forming a good post

>do you guys know the difference between engineering and engineering technology?
Implying that they are very different

MEs are just glorified Car Mechanics
ChemEs are just glorified Plumbers
Medical Doctors are just glorified Nurses
EEs are just glorified Wiremen Electricians
CivilEs are just glorified Carpenters/Bricklayers
Professors are just glorified Teachers

Computer Scientists are just glorified CodeMonkeys ... Oh Wait! ...
Computer Science are just outright CodeMonkeys

that's gay af

let me guess, you're a mathermatician ?

I think you're mixing up designers with engineers. Before the final product you do a lot of wire jumping and part swapping to diagnose bugs.

Just major in Comp Sci/Comp Eng and you'll find your interests along the way.

The best job is one you enjoy, everything in computing is well compensated.

Except that most developers aren't going to be doing 3D modeling. Even as a technical artist, you're still going to be leaning way more into one side of either 3d modeling/texturing/etc and programming.

Also: longer hours and less pay relative to other areas of software development.

And at most places you're only going to be doing one of those things, unless you're doing indie game development, in which case it doesn't make much sense to do it all yourself, as you'd just throw shit together in unity instead.

>Game development is not so god

But at least Game Dev isn't overtaken by India Pajeets

unlike other Computer jobs which are infested with Poo in Loos

>Just major in Comp Sci/Comp Eng
>everything in computing is well compensated.

elo dis is india tech support

Please do the needful sir.

Are they? I've worked in both the game industry and outside of it, and for every poo in loo I see like 5+ whites and like 10+ Chinese for both places. Although there's a higher white:chinese ratio in the game industry, but still a tonne of them.

Shhhhhh

Also Mathematicians earn $105,810/years on average.

The 10% best paid Mathematicians earn more than $160,310

But most statisticians earn just $80,500

>bls.gov/ooh/math/mathematicians-and-statisticians.htm#tab-5

Probably due to "mathematician" as a job title meaning someone with a PhD doing research, but a lot more statisticians with only a bachelors or masters will have that job title.

>Computer Hardware Engineer $115,080/year
>bls.gov/ooh/architecture-and-engineering/computer-hardware-engineers.htm#tab-5
>4000 new jobs in ten years

Is it easy to find work as a computer engineer or do most just settle for something else in software?

>4000 new jobs in ten years

What do you think?

W-well, its not like there's any stats on how many computer engineers graduate every year.

I would assume no. I'd assume California alone graduates 400 computer engineers every year so getting those actual computer engineering jobs must be hard as hell. So I guess most settle for something else in software...

Data scientists get a lot of money at least a lot more money than they are worth.

Engineers never get their hands dirty you pleb. Those are engineering technologists. An electrician and mechanic are nto even engineering technologists. This board is flat out ignorant to what the fuck an engineer even is. I blame the indians.

Literally end up at geek squad where they boss the computer science grads around. Sweet dig because you get the employee discount.

The engineer who never gets his hands dirty is not an engineer and is unworthy of the title.

ME's literally wear business casual and work on a computer all day. Why do you guys think ME's are literally glorified mechanics? This has to because most of the idiots here are indians where the word "engineer" means something different entirely.

Just here to mention that ass is simply incredible.
The things I would do to that ass...

>What is the best job that is deals with computers?

Wow you really give a fuck about your virtual citizens, because surely everyone wants a freight train in their backyard

i choose to rule over my citizens by making them fear me. having train tracks running through their backyard helps them remember to fear me

>computer science PhD
>a job

that is a title.

She's C U T E

Being bill gates is better

It's referred to as Colossal Caucasian Cock, idiot.

The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.

maybe he was being sarcastic and left about the parts about how you get fuxked in the ass over hours and shit.

Im currently a "systems engineer" and my salary is 105k in florida. its comfy. i have a bs in compsi and am taking CISSP exam next month. its an "advanced" security certification. shit costs $699 just to take it.

im interested in security compliance and infosec governance because i find it interesting and its high pay. 150k also its so abstract and magical to people for some reason. i think it helps force promotions in a way.

also ive been working with AWS cloud environments and kubernetes clusters. shit is really interesting as well. i am likely going for a cloud certification after the CISSP since.i have set up a few production (live) environments and clusters . the certs help me solidify my knowledge. they dont necessatily get past hr filters better than keywords. coworkers generally dont give a shit about your certs unless you are just shooting the shit to relate.

also jave a handful of those.CompTia certs and an expired CCNA. ive been in IT for about 9 years now so im relatively advanced in knowledge but i meet people who know mors than me in certain areas daily. this field is just huge and constantly evolvong.

i know a guy who just got a 140k job for managing deployment automations. i taught the guy 25% of what he knows and can do the rest too. worked with him for a few years. i could fake a resume and do that type of shit but not interested so much.

best IT job is accidently making a few million from a stupid game like flappy bird amd not having to work with all of the oddballs that work in IT and Dev.
