Hi. I’m looking for like-minded individuals. I am really curious to see how people answer these questions. Surely there has to be variation in how people on here define these words, I’d like to see how answers defer from my own. If you participate, thank you! Here it goes:
Define time.
Define space.
Define matter.
Define life.
Define consciousness.
Here goes my definitions:
Time is a dimension in nature perceived by humans that is regulated by our biology.
Space is ‘ether’. A very old word for a phenomena we have continued to theorize about throughout history (space-time, Higgs field)
Matter is a mental construction of pulsations in the fabric of space-time (again, ether, whatever you want to call it). Matter doesn’t actually exist, it is an illusion created from energy creating form over duration.
Life to me seems to be inseparable from the environment that creates it. I think life is just a stage of the universe that is designed to organize the blind and unstable processes that gave rise to it
Consciousness is the perceived barrier between environment and observer. It is a phenomena that exists in biology, and when given a neurological system with enough sophistication, consciousness can become aware of its own existence. I think information (symbolic representations of energy over time to determine action) is itself conscious. However I believe consciousness in life is fundamentally linked to quantum mechanics and can only be simulated through computation, not replicated. I think human consciousness is a mixture of syntactic self-awareness and quantum-mechanical properties that bind the observer with its environment outside of time and space.
I’d love to hear your definitions as well as your thoughts!

Time is something that cannot be but is, exists, but only between given parameters thus for it doesn't exists. In general time is the length of anything, but it cannot measure everything.
Space is what remains to be filled but not yet consists anything, it's also the distance that separates.
Matter is what we can perceive with our current, given senses. For all we know, the matter of something is given by a single particle but we cannot comprehend it entirely.
Life is the workspace a living thing is given. It can have meaning, be meaningless and have a goal, but only if it wishes for it. Life is given.
Consciousness is the definition of everything. It cannot be defined as long as we are not sure who has it, or what has it, regardless, it's the complete being, thoughts, feelings, personality and soul of a- and this is where it all stops. For as we really do not know what and who has consciousness, or can it exist without a vessel it is almost impossible to define it. My best shot would be that it's rare phenomenon, which was given us and even while we are taking it for granted, it's given us the abilty to feel, invent, think, explore, create. Consciousness is the matter that cannot be perceived for it's within a space where time exists, but it would exist without time as it is what truly gives us life.

I hope you don't mind being answered by a brainlet like me. Anyways, here's my perspective:
Time is just a measure of the change of the state of the universe, as perceived by humans.
Space, for me, is something more difficult to define. I would say it is the region of the universe not occupied by matter, but I understand why some people also consider it to the whole universe.
Matter is everything that contains at least an atom or an ion.
Life is a property of some " big chunks of matter and energy" that can, in some cases, develop consciousness. They also can reproduce, and lose that property after a finite amount of time ( they die, sooner or later).
Consciousness is the awareness of a being to what is external of itself.

Time is action. We measure it in unit certain action happens in. Space is stuff it happens in. Matter is specific form of action. Life is one instance of expression of consciousness. Consciousness is fabric that interconnect those phenomena.
How do you percieve evolution of it? What is more evolved? Single particle aware of itself, or system aware of it's particles?
So if we split atoms that plasma is not matter?
Adrian Myers
Time humans perceive is at the moment comparison to resonant cycles to certain crystal which can be independent of each other.

Space and time are essentially the same thing.
Anything that has mass. At a subatomic level it's essentially part of space and time. These first three questions are a lot easier to solve empirically. My answers are feeble and retarded but if you studied enough you could get closer to the truth.
I think both life and consciousness are linear, in that there are different levels of consciousness and life. To some degree the universe itself is alive. I mean that in a totally non-spiritual and non-sentimental way. Consciousness is simply self-awareness. Or the ability to self determine. These two definitions are much more difficult to find.

Consciousness is being awake, reacting toward or away. Electromagnetically if you will (brain and nerves).
