Einstein

Why is he so famous, while Faraday and Maxwell aren't?

Time dilation is wicked cool. Like something out of a sci-fi novel.

Faraday and Maxwell ARE famous.
They both made great discoveries and both have basic units (capacitance and magnetic flux) named in their honor.
You ever see a meter calibrated in "einsteins"?

probably 29 out of 30 random people wouldn't be able to tell you who Faraday and Maxwell are.

his milkshake brings all the boys in the yard

newspapers with photographs made it the right time for a science celebrity. he became the figurehead for all the scientific achievement at the time in the eyes of normies.

he was also a great scientist and it's partially deserved.

>ein(((stein)))
I wonder why

Just look at that hair, he was always destined to become the prototypical eccentric mega-genius.

The US government really, really liked him so they helped make him famous.

Because we humans like archtypes and we as a society chose that Einstein fits the bill for the archetypical Über-genius. This is shown in the fact that we began to use "einstein" synonymous to genius, while we never used Maxwell or something similar. Now as we why we chose Einstein over others, there could be many reasons, maybe its his hair, maybe his name, maybe his charisma, probably a combination of many factors, but all in all it doesnt matter. Einstein is an archetype.

...

More than Heaviside

this seems spot on

Poincare came up with time dilation and space contraction. It isn't a particularly revolutionary concept, you merely change the parameters to make the sums work out.

>Faraday and Maxwell ARE famous.
When you compare the amount that these two people contributed to the modern world, it is astonishing how few people outside of a physic major in college have ever heard of them. Meanwhile nigger-kike Einstein is continuously paraded around while his actual contributions to science on this planet are comparatively minor.

inb4; Einstein was a genius
You just proved my point negro

And how many could tell you who Einstein is? I mean, probably they only know that he was a scientific.

Lots more, that's for sure.

Yeah sure but I don't think that they know what he really does, they just know that is the archetypical scientific and that's all.

Don't be a fag. Very few people have ever not heard of Einstein or his """"accomplishments"""". Don't pretend to be smart and then insult your own intelligence with statements even a child would disregard.

probably 29 out of 30 random people wouldn't be able to tell you what Einstein got his Nobel prize for.

Who cares about nobel prize, it's not important.I don't expect every person to know everyone important in physics and talk about details. I'm just wondering why Einstein is more famous than others.

To promote determinism and deny freewill.

He was a chad, while they were not

Yeh like dark matter

Einstein is just extremely iconic to many people when being mentioned in how he impacted World War history, to being taught in public schools and classrooms, known through his famous quotes and works (e=mc2), also being mentioned in cartoons and references.he's just one of those guys known as that very intelligent man for obvious reasons that had left a huge mark on our society to this day.

3 reasons;
1) The newspapers played up Eddington's quote "Newton Overthrown!!"
2) He wrote the one equation everybody knows
3) I suspect many think he, singlehandedly, built the first A-bomb

He fit an archetypal mad scientist look but was charming and had a very human side with a dose of humour. They could distill his science into a catchy equation, and he is considered one of the minds behind pushing the atom bombs for development.

fame is just about promotion

the jews who promote promote other jews

he was nominated as second prime minister of israhell but passed it down

so the true answer isn't why is einstien famous

the answer is "Why are all the famous people kikes?"

do you really think every actor needs to be related to some crypto jew from the british peerage?

fame and fortune are something that you're born into

time dilation is the same as making a ruler out of a rubber band then saying the world shrinks when you stretch the ruler

For the Jews to push relativity and fuck up everything.

What was popular at the time. With WWII and the atomic age, the biggest scientists of that time were more popular.

Kek, it is funny how jews seem to be involved in everything involving the word "relative".

fuck off back to

These His cartoonish appearance was gold to journalists

He also actually enjoyed the publicity to an extent and spoke out on a wide variety of social issues.

Moving to America might also have had something to do with it.

He just happened to be on holiday when war broke out

You're just making OPs point even stronger, brainlet. Faraday and Maxwell did a lot for science and have shit named after them but ask a normie in the street who they are and you'll get a blank stare. Whereas Einstein is a pop culture icon.

See

But everybody knows who Einstein was and what he looks like you git

This

Einstein deserves every single ounce of attention he gets. Pretty much all well-respected scientists at the time had it twisted with Einstein long after he proposed his ideas. Guess who fucking won??? Einstein.

Except there are actual consequences of time dilation which are counter-intuitive and (theoretically) possible to observe in real life, like the twin paradox. It’s not a purely abstract idea

>spoke out on a wide variety of social issues
Yeah, like supporting the Bolsheviks. Einstein was one of a large number of scientists who revolutionized our understanding of the world at the time but he's remembered by people to the exclusion of everybody else. Sort of like Newton in his time, though Newton did proportionally much more.

Both were utter cunts.

No modern scientist (or other academic) could even come close to what Einstein did with what he had available and the opposition he faced. He literally just thought up a revolution. Not a single human being ever before or after Einstein has done that. I'm not fucking around, completely serious.

Faraday and Maxwell were great. but not revolutionary--which Einstein was. Maxwell's equations are a fundamental contribution but nothing that forced people to completely rethink how physics worked...

no

Literally everyone who has ever come up with a new theory has faced this. Ever heard about Charles Darwin? Alfred Wegener?

Whereas Einstein was working in lockstep with a whole crew of geniuses.

Einstein built on Faraday's and Maxwell's work and ideas.

no shit?? so do faraday and maxwell build upon their priors work. but they didn't REVOLUTIONIZE anything. that's the keyword here, cretin.

They did

elaborate how

bullshit Einstein came up with THE most revolutionary idea in science completely alone and spontaneously
with opposition from all sides
Darwin is a baby and Wegener is a fetus compared to Einstein.

Before them scientists mostly had strictly mechanical view of the world

untrue

are you Jewish?

Wrong

He had a wacky haircut and E=mc^2 is a formula that anybody can memorize. Also, he was a Jewish. These are literally the only reasons.

Because "Einstein" is a catchy name.

Opposition? Scientists do their work *before* publishing and encountering opposition.
You sound like someone who has read too much popsci.

The white supremacy on this board has gone too far.

...

Honestly, a lot of it is hype, he was a good scientist, but it was hype kinda like how biggie smalls is considered one of the greatest rappers ever. Not saying he was terrible, I'm saying he ain't much better than Asap Rocky and only has the status because of hype, the time he came out and because he died. Nas was a much better east cost rapper in every respect who was popular around the same time. The Media just kinda chose to hype the living shit out of Einstein same way they hyped biggie and Tupac even though they weren't the best.

Not a perfect analogy, but my point is, its more hype than skill and kind of a popularity contest.

that's because einstein looks funny, and has a comparatively large brain.

You might want to leave for leddit then, seems like you have fallen for the "only /pol/ is racist" meme

There's a big difference between "coming up" with a vague philosophical notion vs. actually discerning and publishing the mathematics / kinematics for how it works. Philosophical ideas are cheap, it's the falsifiable maths that matter.

They are, relatively speaking

>compares biggie to ASAP rocky
Opinion disregarded

>Kek, it is funny how jews seem to be involved in everything involving the word "relative".
Definitely a jewish thing. Jewish culture is neurotic as fuck and fundamentally revolves around a love-hate relationship with authority. Obsession with following the rules but also with debating the semantics of rules in ways others (like Jesus) would find myopic and missing the bigger point of the spirit of the law for the sake of the letter of the law.
Goes all the way back to the Old Testament.
biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Genesis 32:22-32
>Jacob Wrestles With God
>22 That night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two female servants and his eleven sons and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. 23 After he had sent them across >the stream, he sent over all his possessions. 24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not >overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”
>But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”
>27 The man asked him, “What is your name?”
“>Jacob,” he answered.
>28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel,[a] because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”
So Israel itself means "struggles with God," which is a little weird to think about. From the jew perspective the fact you fight God and debate the relative meaning and semantics of his rules shows you care.

Only we have never empirically observed any of those effects, so they remain purely abstract.

No. Remember Lowell and his Martian canal systems? He had hundreds of hours of telescope time on Mars, and made detailed sketches of the canal systems and it was largely accepted as fact that there existed these canals. And then they built better telescopes and his research was made less than worthless; a footnote to history. The same is true of Einstein's work. The physicists at the time had the data from the Mitchelson Morelly experiment, but there was many different ways of interpreting it. Einstein stuck his neck out and said it is this way, but as yet his theory has not been proved or disproved, so it remains a big fat nothing.

That's mighty coincidental.

Faraday was the first person to unify the forces of electro-magnetism, which set the stage for all of physics up to the modern day. From this discovery Maxwell was able to determine that light itself was an electromagnetic wave and by doing so helped revolutionise our understanding of the Universe and how we see and hear the Universe. His work led to the discovery of x-rays, radio, and colour television which is essentially the modern world.
Einstein's attempt at unifying electromagnetism with gravity is vastly inferior to Faraday and Maxwell's work, primarily because in his attempt at unifying these two forces he alters the state of gravity so that it no longer acts as a force and other such logical absurdities. All of these absurdities add up to show that in the end relativity is more artistic than scientific in its scope and lacks a real physical, scientific and mathematical grounding. But whatever 'warp-core' woo-hoo!!!

(((Einstein))) was a Jew promoted by nepotistic Jews

Faraday and Maxwell were not Jews

>Why is he so famous, while Faraday and Maxwell aren't?

because he's jewish, and jews promote their own.

duh.
