That seems a little pricey for the free breakfast that comes with any stay at most chain hotels like the Hilton or the Hampton Inn? I saw nothing more than salmon that would run up a bill beyond whatever you'd get in a meal where you paid a la carte. Maybe a few more jams than usual. For $29, there should be lox, a fresh omelette dude, benedicts with crab cakes, more a selection of top cheeses, that kind of thing. A giant plate there is like $5 cost to them. Those were low end items.

As someone who's worked in hotels for years, this is not a "standard breakfast" buffet. I worked at a place the charged $20 for much less than this. If a hotel has a free breakfast it'll literally just be toast, cereal, muffins and if you're lucky some cold and dry scrambled eggs.
