Have you made any dishes from this show? What are your thoughts on the culinary creativity featured in it? Is all the science analysis shit they say in the show legit?

Too busy with Gintama to try watching it.

Why does all anime look the same?

Tried and tested visually appealing design.

broad design elements commonly recurring throughout works in the same medium from a single country + your fucking western-centric gaze

It's extremely interesting and I love the gastronomy parts but they never seem to go into enough detail for a recipe. I'd love to see an episode on coffee

I wouldn't judging by that pic. He left the strings on and garnished with some sprigs of marjoram (?) that is large and still has the stem attached. There's like 5 baby carrots and four pieces of squash and no gravy, sauce, or juice of any kind. If this is what pleases nip palates, no thank you.

>as he posts on weaboo website
Reddit is calling they want you back.

I made gohan desuyo pizza after I saw it on Gaki no Tsukai. It was actually surprisingly good

I read "this show" as "a show". Guess that's what I get for not sleeping

No, but I really should. The show is actually quite legit about cooking, even if it's not perfect.

read the manga losers

It's less nonsense than pic related, that's for sure.

Shokugeki no Soma has an actual chef making the recipes for the manga.

Recipes for some of the stuff is included in the manga volumes.

Addicted to Curry is has better recipes and even better fanservice

>Have you made any dishes from this show?
Yes. The friend chicken curry, the apple risotto, and the Chaliapin steak bowl.

>What are your thoughts on the culinary creativity featured in it?
I find it really refreshing and exciting. I quickly came to like it more than the titties. I can get porn anywhere, but fun cooking ideas are less common.

>Is all the science analysis shit they say in the show legit?
As far as I know, yes.

You haven't seen enough.

>judging by that pic
Book, cover, etc.

We made the 'Gotcha Pork Roast' and it was really damn good. Had to use a food processor to get the mushrooms minced as finely as I wanted, but it eas a fun time for my and my friends to indulge in weeb culture together.
Wish Id thought go take a pic
Btw you can find the recipies for most of the dishes online

That image makes me angery>:(

>they never seem to go into enough detail for a recipe

It isn't needed. They describe them well enough that anyone familiar with cooking can make them. The only times they don't would be when they only mention "spices" and never elaborate further. I don't recall that happening specifically though. This type of detail isn't for n00bs obviously. Which is why it is such a great anime. All the clues are shown, said, or expressed to give you a full recipe.

This isn't true at all though and this post is actually making me sad knowing people like you exist.

I think I have seen enough, everyone has. It's all the same.

You're literally retarded.

>implying the manga doesn't cater to newfags
Pic related.
>spices
I thought this show was a meme, but I actually tried using a ma la oil to pan-sear a steak and double-blinded my guinea pigs. 3/3 preferred ma la steak.

Tried making the chapalin steak don but I can't get the sauce right (steak tastes good though). I use parts of the stuff from the karaage episode for making my own fried chicken though.

I wanna try making some of the dishes from the autumn election arc, as well.

RIP Guinea pigs.

Did add the berry stuff into the rice for the Chaliapin Steak bowl?

I did. It really did help; it was tangy and cleansed our palates even as we ate.

I made the gotcha pork from the first episode since I found a big bundle of bacon on manager's special. It actually came out really well.

Except for the sauce, it came out so bad I didn't put it on

That was the dish in that show that stuck out as something I'd want to try. Did you go off a recipe? I'm gonna have to try this one.

I used the one published in the manga. Maybe not this exact scan, but it should do you.

it always puzzled me how someone got the idea to mix a food show and ecchi, then I watched a couple episodes recently and it was actually decent so I guess I can't complain
I should start this up again

>dragonball z looks exactly the same as shokugeki no soma looks exactly the same as sailor moon looks exactly the same as any studio ghibli movie

if real you're not very bright and/or a liar, if bait then it's terrible bait

I would love to try some of the recipes but almost all of them use some jap ingredients that I cant really get around here in my small European town.
I'd have to travel an hour to the next big city or order online if I wanted to get them. At that point I just give up and do dishes I can make without planning days in advance.
Maybe I'll remember to try out the dishes when I got some time off work

Some of the chapters are fucking stupid but overall it's pretty great.
>This is an American dish.
>It contains a type of seasoning called salt

Fuck Food Wars. It has nice art but the story is boring as fuck.
What is your opinion on this gem instead?

I made a ramshackle version of the OP pic using the grill mode of a microwave.

It came out good enough for a half-assed attempt.

but they dont

I jist started the anime, are these lewd reaction things going to be a mainstay? I live in an apartment with thin walls

is this the one where the chef is transported to the past and conquers japan with his cooking.
If so it is great the political pressure that is on him rely shows, and makes it interesting all, cant remember if i finish it tho since it was not translated at the time when i red it.

Some dude on another forum I frequent made a couple. They work and allegedly taste good.

Where can I download this with subs?

i read the manga some time back no clue about the anime.

It's not an anime

If you need subs your completely missing the point of anime.
Stick to your gaijin ‘cartoons’.

Maybe you should go back to that other forum then.

Lurk /a/ and/or /g/ for about 30 seconds.

Again, it's not an anime
I can only find streaming sites, I guess that'll do.

I actually worked on the animation on this one.
Pretty proud of how it turned out.

Sasuga newfag kun

They tone that down over time, but it keeps going. I'd get headphones or be ready to mute it when someone's about to eat.

Fags.

Baka

Maybe you should look up what the genre tag "Ecchi" means.

...

I honestly just saw this thread, went to nyaa, downloaded, and started watching. I had no idea this was ecchi.
Yeah, my hand is hovering my M key now. I had the door to the porch open during the first episode too so it was like 5 AM with loud Japanese moaning going outside kek

The apple risotto they made that I made myself (actually I made it for mothers day dinner) was very good.

It was simple but savory and delicious. I think the recipe was something like: bacon, apple pieces, risotto, apple juice/cider instead of whatever, onions, black pepper.

Slice bacon to bits, dice onion, fry together. Add rice and coat with the fat, then add liquid and pepper, cook until rice is tender and done, add apple bits.

right now actually

use headphones?

Are the recipes properly legit? I have wanted to get into making curries but it's been too bothersome gathering a bunch of spices.

Tower is too far away. I have my computer hooked up to my TV.

You were on trash yesterday asking the same shit and you got blown out then too faggot. You need to be 18 to use this website.

He raises a valid point.
In any case what were you doing on /trash/ you colossal faggot?

Obviously, you are not a very good cook and most likely need to read recipes for everything.

Man, I got to episode five, quit watching, and switched to so much fucking better even if normies are retarded

...

Kisama.

Posting recipe for those interested in

>He raises a valid point.
No he doesn't. Go take a flying lip-lock on my fuckstick, ass eyes.

There are a lot of manga about food.

>powdered cheese
SOOOOMA

The versions in the manga are meant for newbies to be able to follow. Swap in freshly grated Parmesan for better flavor.

While I'm here what do you guys think about dungeon meshi, tg seems to like it

I'd be more into it if the recipes could be accurately recreated. Great concept, though.

I don't watch animeme.

>beef
>traditional

I loved that manga but at one point I stopped following it and now I cant remember any of the characters or plot. I do remember that the recipes were nice, but it lacks the foodgasms.

I want to rape, kill, prepare, cook and eat the elf girl.

please don't do that, she's pure

Not for long

Add some cumin, cinnamon and cloves and switch out the beef for chicken or lamb and that's your typical curry

Grilled squid in peanut butter kinda sucked...

Sure, but what is "curry powder" supposed to mean? I know there are like 10 different kinds of packages in one of the asian shops, but iirc they are for specific dishes and have specific names. And the domestic "curry spice" that everyone here uses is some kind of horrible, disgusting bastardized version that tastes nothing like anything I have ever had at an indian restaurant.

Use a 50/50 combo of madras and columbo curry

I have a feeling that shop has neither of those two mixes, is it difficult to make them myself?

If you don't want to use a standard curry powder from walmart you can get away with a cumin/coriander/cinnamon/cloves/paprika mix if you add some garam masala at the end
