Basically, there's a lot of great ways to eat shrimp. I don't recommend grilling or cooking dry over high heat, it makes them too rubbery, imo, even when you don't overcook them. They just get dried out too easiy.

Wrapped in bacon.

Shrimp empanada

This is the only valid option, although you can put some chanterelles on it.

bread them
put the breaded shrimp in sushi

>eating sea bugs

Low country boil with potatoes, corn and sausage

fuck off with your shitty eating regulations.

Fortunately you are wrong.

Nope, just someone who doesnt eat literal bugs.

Why Not? Insects ( both land and ocean) are highly nutritious and sustainable. Stop being a weird little picky eater.

Chili shrimp.
Dredge in eggwhite, potato starch, then wine, salt and pepper, and fry for a couple minutes.
In another pan, fry a clove of finely minced garlic and a knuckle of finely minced ginger, along with an equal amount of doubanjiang. When aromatic, add an equal volume of ketchup. (so 1 garlic:1 ginger:2 doubanjiang:4 ketchup) Once it starts to bubble throughout, add half or 2/3 cup chicken stock, the shrimp, and some chopped green onion, and bring back to temp while seasoning with wine, salt, pepper, and egg yolk. Once it's warm, and don't let it go too long or the shrimp will get chewy, thicken with potato starch if necessary, add a dash of rice vinegar and sesame oil, and serve with a garnish of lettuce.

Shrimp stock, user. Not chicken stock. But otherwise that's pretty spot on.

Fry or grill it like any other fish I guess??

Dont you loose the flavour from the shell?

I heard that shit was kinda important?

>Dont you loose the flavour from the shell?
Yes.

But a lot of people think that shell-on shrimp are icky and gross, so those manchildren tend to seek out recipes where they are peeled first.

The head is the best part. It's filled with tasty stuff.

If you feel that's important, toss the peeled shells into the frying pan with the meat.

Walnut shrimp. Possibly one of the worlds greatest.

Oh, yeah, if you can get shrimp stock that's even better. Chicken's an availability sub.

Of course you can get it. You buy whole shrimp. You yank off the heads and peel the tails. Make your stock using the heads and shells, then use the tail meat in the dish.

No, he's right. Bacon-wrapped shrimp is for retards that jerk themselves off over bacon. It's good on lots of things, but it instantly makes the food taste like everything else that has bacon on it.

The best shrimp in cilantro-lime shrimp. The shrimp are perfect sponges for that herb & lime flavor. And fuck off if you don't like cilantro, the opinion of genetic defects can be disregarded.

I suggested peeling first because cooking in the shell has been hit & miss for me, it can be difficult to get the garlic, parsley & chilli flavours in there to the meat.

- peel shrimp
- take the shells, throw em in the pan with some olive oil and cook. this is your stock to cook the shrimps in.
- take out the shells and siff the oil.

this should be your base for most shrimp fry recipes.

I personally like them with pasta + garlic+ a bit of fine diced onion.

Fry it (without the tails) and make a shrimp poor boy.

Shrimp and grits needs some love too.

Gumbo
Alfredo
Spaghetti (with some crab and grilled squid)

More for me.

All you have to know about shrimp dishes

>3 leeks, softened in a couple tablespoons of butter
>add 1 tbs chili powder, 1 tbs curry powder, 1 tsp old bay, 1/2 tsp cayenne, and a heaping tbs of flour
>toast spices for about a minute then add 3-4 peeled and chopped potatoes
>add enough vegetable stock to cover
>simmer for 30 minutes
>either mash or blend smooth
>add raw shrimp and simmer until cooked through
>take off the heat and stir in 1/2 cup heavy cream

It's good shit on a cold day

>not adding butter

mix honey, soysauce, oystersauce, pepper, tiny bit of sesame oil (chili if you like)
let the shrimps sit in that mix for a while, then fry them together with garlic.
