I mean I may be a huge degenerate but I'd honestly be dumber if I hadn't been an alcoholic for a decade. No one should drink like that however.

Both. We actually have this thing in Serbia, where you caramelize some sugar, mix some plum brandy and water with it, boil it, and wa la, you have yourself a booze tea.
