Favourite whisky?

Favourite whisky?

Yamazaki is great, but i rarely get it. I mostly drink southern comfort 100 proof cuz it gets you fucked up fast and cheap.

Bulleit bourbon is my absolute favourite but it is often out of my price range. I don't really tend to spend more than £20 on booze.

My getting drunk whiskey is Jim Beam. I mix it with coke zero. Like I said I drink it to get drunk and is usually affordable.

...

buffalo trace is massively better than jim beam. you can usually get it for 20 from asda.....its sip worthy, you dont need to mix it

Jameson/wild turkey

Currently £23 where I am. I've tried before it's good but I am pretty autistic about saving my muns.

>muns
A-alan?

No, I just happen to also be a faggot who's played Undertale.

...

Old Crow is $10 and is just less aged Jim Beam. Drink it straight

Russell Reserve bourbon

I like Glenlivet.

Wild Turkey 81
Jeremiah Weed Cinnamon for flavoured

Guess I like stuff on the sweeter side.

For me it's 2 gingers.

Cheap: Spicebox, because I'm an underage alcoholic at heart.

Expensive: Talisker, for the smokiness.

My Alan has used muns ince before undertale, I didn't know that faggy art-game popularized it.

That's good but I like pic related better

What ever is cheap, usually Alberta Premium

Oh so someone finally picked up a yakuza game

...

guilty as charged. I thought Laphroaig was soju until the barman explained it's origin. I got slightly obsessed with the idea and now am a fan of all sorts of whiskeys. I'm drinking a glass right now!

This one

Or this one depending on how I feel

Where do you live? Bulleit is cheap as fuck.

Bunch of fancy fuckers in here. This is my favorite stuff.

shit user, a fifth of bulleit is only $18 here

Not him but Bulliet is one of the most expensive bourbons at the nearest liquor store. Maker's Mark and High West are the only bottles that cost more.

I'm assuming UK. in burgerland it's about 25$

Nope, Utah. It's a 35 dollar bottle here.

If I'm feeling rich, Hibiki.
If I'm feeling poor, Rittenhouse.
If I'm feeling decent, Jameson.

Gentlemen.

Flanigan’s the Patriot.
Fucking great stuff.

Usually buy a half-bottle of famous grouse and mix it with coke.

2gingers
Jameson
Highland Park 12 if I'm down to pay a little extra.
If I just want to booze it up I'll just grab what the local liquor store has for 10-15$ at 100 proof

Jim Beam Devil's Cut

Bought a bottle of this recently and almost wish I hadn't as it is so good. Nothing comes close to this, I used to swear by Lagavulin 16 but this is amazing. The regular 10 is very good too

Lagavulin 16 is my current favorite, so I'll have to try this.

For bourbon, I enjoy Eagle Rare or Bulleit.

lagavulin has a some peat.
ardbeg is so full of peat your pee will reek of it the next morning.

It tastes way better though.

At the end of the day, it's all down to personal taste

Why is there a blunt on it?

Bookers. Haven't been able to buy a bottle since I've moved back to Washington, tho, it's like 30 fucking dollars of taxes on the thing. I love a cask strength, small batch bourbon tho.

Good shit right here.

Good night sweet prince...

My mom said she loves Canadian whisky in general. I'd like to gift her one, any ideas? I know nothing about whisky.

what is your budget/where do you live

For affordable whisky the only good ones are Forty Creek and Alberta Premium.

For a nicer, more expensive whisky i dunno lol.

>live in texas
>cant buy hard liquor online

i will never get this

i can buy shots in bars but i want a whole god damn bottle. ship this to me pls

Had a dram of this recently, really good shit for the price
Only if its Barrel Strength which only the fucking Japs get because Sazerac are fucking evil
Corry is the only standard ardbeg i havent tried yet. I wish it wasnt fucking $200 CAD in Ontario or i'd take the plunge

Depends on how much you want to spend.
The best low ends are Forty Creek Copper Pot Still and AP Dark Horse.
Medium end ($50 CAD) if your in Canada to buy I'd say look at Ninety 90 20 Year Old Rye, Glynnevan Double Barrel Rye and Lot 40
For high end I'd recommend Lohin McKinnon Single Malt or Lot 40 Cask Strength the latter of which is insanely good but hard to find because its a limited edition but if your mum likes rye fucking get it before the prices rocket up

Seeing Don Draper drink it made me want some. Turns out its pretty good.

I love Bookers man, I'm in Australia though and that stuff costs $110 here :(

I do think it holds its ground against some scotches in the same price bracket though.

I had the small batch and i thought it tasted like lipstick and gasoline.
I hope the 40 year is better.

It's good at being what it is..
Cheap, inoffensive drink that gets you drunk.

Actually the only Canadian whiskey I've ever tried.

these two. Evan Williams single barrel is my go to bourbon. All Heaven Hill products

Fighting Cock to get drunk on a budget.

Buffalo Trace or Elijah Craig if I just want to have something good.

How do I into scotch? I want to be sophisticated.

>Elijah Craig
it went to shit mate
try blanter's or eagle rare or maker's mark

Wait, what? I haven't bought a bottle in about a year, did they go under?

no they stopped doing 12 because of lack of production
they went non age statement

>Bought this for my father last chrismas to drink on speciall occasions.
>He is saving it for a speciall occasion.
> He now has thyroid cancer...
>Can't drink alcohol (pipe in throat, might die before we get to share it...)
>Can't even see the bottle witout getting teary eyes.
>Don't know it's taste
Does it taste good? Did I do good user?
>Thinking of takeing a glass with him anyways (6 month to live)

What.

Why? Was that not their most popular product? Shit.

I regret finishing up my last bottle of it. It felt like such a safe bet.

Glenfiddich 18yo

Jim Beam or Buffalo Trace, usually. Old Forester at my local cigar lounge, since they don't carry Jim Beam for some reason

In Kentucky currently, visiting some relatives. Gonna go to a bourbon bar tonight, but I'm a noob and know nothing about it. What bourbons should I try?

Because they couldn't supply enough despite improving production. Or they're greedy cunts. Or both.
NSA is 8-12years but who the fuck knows what they put in it since it's heaven hill.

I live in France so I can still find some original 12y but they're selling for way more than it was before so it's pointless. I'd rather buy something else.

I'm with you on the safe bet, it was my go to gift for people who never tried bourbon and it never disappointed.

Tyrconnell

john wick would be proud

What size bottles do you usually buy, /whiskey/?

I haven't had that many, but so far it's Monkey shoulder. Real smooth, lots of vanilla and butter, but not in a sicklening way.

that's one of my go-to's but this is my favorite from them

How do you like your old fashioned?
bourbon or rye?
lemon or orange?
cherry or no cherry?
angostura or other?

The alcohol politics in Norway is so fucking retarded. I'ts 25% + everything. this means that if you buy sometihing expensive that tastes good, itt'l be fucking expensive.

If you buy something cheap that tastes like hand sanitizer it's not gonna be nearly as expensive because math.

Is this really redusing the numberof alcholics, or is just forcing everyone to dring hand sanitizer?

Fucking just put a set tax on alcohol so normal people don't have to drink hand sanitizer. This would still make it expensive to be an alchoholic but not fuck over normal people.

it's not like true alcholics don't buy the cheapest booz anyway. And they don't get adicted to the good taste, they get addicted to the drug. god fucking damn it. monney grabbing government

Call me a pleb but I like Jack Daniels and fighting cock

I'm a simple man with simple tastes.

As far as cheap whiskey goes, this stuff is definitely the best.

or you could put a mathematical function tax on it

Vice taxes are dumb as shit. All they do is punish poor people. Rich fucks don't care if their liquor costs $100.

Bourbon. Always bourbon. Usually I don't have a preference regarding fruit, though sometimes I just ask for no fruit

It's a very nice bourbon. You did good.

for $8 a fifth, pretty darn tasty stuff.

mostly drink Jim Beam Black

I really like Bookers and Wild Turkey 101.

recommend me something

I've got many, many favorites for different times, but probably the one I get the most is Old Overholt for Old Fashioneds.

A well-balanced Old Fashioned with rye whiskey is, I'm pretty sure, what the Greeks were talking about when they mentioned ambrosia.

Laphroaig #003, although I have to say Kavalan Sherry Oak is very nice for a non-scotch.

Had that a couple of months ago; it's basically just "market the hell out of a cute name" whisky. Try some longstanding brands like Laphroaig or Balvenie Doublewood.

i've only had their "regular" 10yr (which is my favourite so far). how's this compare?

Only problem with Jack Daniels is it's not any better than Maker's Mark for a higher price.

And also that it tastes like corn syrup laced with turpentine

it's moments like these i remember it's mostly americans on this board...

>Laphroaig or Balvenie Doublewood.
those are literally like 100 dollars in my meme as country

can't have no alcholics in socialist NORWAY

Had a measure last weekend.
Yummy choice.
Manly.
(Pic related) is my workhorse.

I'm glad video games can give someone a doorway into a new world like that. Especially when it's seamlessly tucked into the corners of a unique experience like yakuza games.

lol so true

Yoichi single malt is my favorite, but expensive.

Tincup is my smooth enough to get down and cheap drink. But I usually go with gin or brandy when I'm drinking to get drunk.

Jefferson's Reserve. Although I rarely spend that much money on a bottle of whiskey. Woodford Reserve is my go-to.

I fell for the Jack Daniels Meme, I hated it.
It was too sweet and tasted like corn.
I ended up throwing half the bottle over the fence into the field where the neighborhood mormon kids play.
Hopefully they find it and become alcoholic

I really wish there were cool little divebars like in yakuza in my area. oh well, guess ill drink at home tonight

This

you post this a lot
