That sheet cake vegan? It looks vegan.

oh my are they shaving the cake with their bare hands

Fuck off to Veeky Forums if you want to be an autistic keto tard scared of carbs like a woman.

Those women don't seem to be at all scared of carbs, tho. . . .

They forfeited that title.

MOAR!!!

MOAR CAKE!!!

EAT IT BITCH!!!!

'Merican white women are fucking disgusting.

I lost 60+ lbs thanks to keto last year.

I have quite a few recipes. Are you looking for anything specific?

Something easy to take to work for lunch

Then you might want to try making/cooking stuff up in bulk. It's very easy. It's gonna take about 4 hours worth of prep 1 day a week but it's really nice to have your food ready to go and prepared. A failure to plan is a plan for failure. Egg salad with bacon, olive and tuna salad, taco salad, buffalo chicken, cabbage bacon soup, lentil soup, keto chili, chicken breast, grilled vegetables, hamburger patties, steak, turkey burger patty, boiled eggs, zucchini pasta, cauliflower grautin, cheese sticks, BLT in a lettuce leaf, etc. keto cheesecake, macadamia nuts, dark chocolate, bulletproof coffee, keto ice cream, dark chocolate smoothies, keto muffins, etc. etc, etc ...endless possibilities.

One of my favorite keto recipes is shredded buffalo chicken in a low carb tortilla or a taco salad without the shell.

Keto buffalo chicken ( Crockpot)

1/4 c Louisiana hot sauce
1/2 pkg ranch dip seasoning ( I use McKormick for low carb count)
1# chicken breast
3 TBS butter ( not margarine)

Put chicken and hot sauce in crockpot, top with ranch seasoning, cook dinner n low approx 6 hours. Shred, add butter and cook 30 min longer. Put in tortilla with lettuce, cheese, and sour cream.

Also alfredo sauce is easy. 1 cup heavy cream or 1/2-1/2 to 2/3 cup Parmesan 2-3 Tbs butter. Pour over chicken, vegetables, zucchini or shiritaki noodles or low carb pasta

What is keto?

High fat, moderate protein, extremely low carb. It was developed by a Dr to help treat patients with epilepsy and reduce seizures and possibly assist with other ailments but it is also currently used ( in this threads context) as a diet to help people lose weight. And it does. It's very very low carb

Grats dude. I just hit 30 pounds and I'm hoping to his 15-20 more.

so i want to start keto to get in a little better shape. im not overweight but i can be better. i understand the no carbs part. but i do enjoy to drink on the weekend. anyone have advice on how they maintain keto and can possibly drink still on the weekend?

Start smoking the devil's lettuce instead.

Hard liquor, vodka is best, but all mostly ok or low carb beers. Some wines are also ok but idk which ones they are. Sugarfee mixers/soda or water. You can drink on keto but your body will metabolize the alcohol before the fat. It's easier to get a buzz on keto because of that also but watch your calories since it metabolizes alcohol first... Keto is all about 25 grams or less of carbs per day . 15-20 is ideal. So keep your carbs in that area and you will be fine regardless. When I was doing keto I saved almost all my carbs for liquor when I knew I was going to go out.

ahhh makes me too paranoid

thank you

I lost my fat via cycling, I was lifting weights and running so I did 5 x low carb and 2 x loading per week. Usually end of the week, Thursday I'd drop in to keto as my urine started to smell sweet etc.
However pure keto doesn't work if you do hard exercise so little carbs are needed for the days you workout.
I just ate variations of this:

>Breakfast: 4 fried eggs, butter, 4 slices oof bacon, black coffee
>Lunch: Salmon, steak or 2x chicken breasts, olive oil / butter, broccoli, some tomatoes, onions
>Dinner was same as lunch.
>Snacks: peanuts if available
>Recovery drink was whey protein and some carbs, fruit or juice on days when I trained.

I went back to 28" waist jeans in 3 months. From 34". Just needed to cook every night and have plastic containers ready.

Forgot to add that on 2 loading up days I didn't go crazy, just had pizza and few beers and maybe sandwhich etc. Nothing crazy.

Eating pizza after the week often made me so tired I went to sleep btw.

...

One more mention - adding carbs on training days wont kick you out of keto if you train hard enough..
But of course you need to aim as low as possible anyway.

Training wise, when I was fat I didn't train at all. I have lot of previous experience though but wasn't training for 10 years when I got fat again.

I started training 3 days a week following a simple basic setup. Then I started to add 1 extra day which was HIIT training, doing set of deadlifts for 8 minutes. That one single session was probably enough to get fat burning throughout the week but it was very grueling and when you combine lactic acid producing exercise with low carb you will feel it.

I wish I had the discipline to do this now because I have gotten too fat again (but nothing where I was back then...) but I'm too busy and live in shithole overpopulated city.

When it comes to weight loss, having a good healthy background helps. I.e. spending your childhood outside, doing some sports now and then and having worked at least some physical job helps to maintain the body's ability to "remember". People who are permanently fat often lack healthy childhood background, their muscles don't have any memory and bones etc are weak.

It's also used by type 1 and type 2 diabetics. Some type 1's have better blood sugar control on keto and some type 2's can lower their insulin resistance to the point of reversing all symptoms of the disease. There is also some research being done as a treatment for Alzheimer's. A small number of endurance athletes do it for very long races.

anyone else fucking hate sheetcakes?
always super sweet and artificial tasting, and the icon is usually teethnumbing and made with vegetable shortening.
I only ever eat it at office meetings and birthdays and gulp half of it down to be nice.

It's funny because the one I feel bad for is the black dude.

Lost about 20lbs so far, aiming for a total of about 90lbs total so I have a long way to go.

>some type 2's can lower their insulin resistance to the point of reversing all symptoms of the disease
Yuppers, dat's me.

> keto cheesecake
Can I get that recipe plz

Sure. It's a very thick pudding consistency. I dont go through the trouble of making a crust. I have a recipe for that somewhere but can't find it atm. (It's made out of ground up pecans and stevia) Anyway, This really hits the spot when you have a sweet craving while doing keto or low carb in general.

Keto Cheesecake Pudding

Makes 4 --1/3 cup servings

4oz cream cheese
2 TBS full fat sour cream
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 TBS Torani sugar free vanilla syrup
1 single stevia packet

Lightly whip all together until (semi) stiff peaks form.

-Per 1/3c serving-

155 calories
15.2 gm fat
2.8 gm carbs
0 fiber
2.2 gm sugar

if you smoked more often you won't get paranoid anymore.

> american """women"""

I mean, cream cheese itself is low-carb and it's perfectly possible to use it in a cheesecake that is keto-qualified.

>3.5g carbs per 85g (3oz) serving

No need to make a bunch of weird substitutions for the cheese filling, just have to come up with something different for the crust, like using coarse-ground almonds instead of graham crackers.

30 down here, 60 more to go. Unlike every other diet I've ever tried, this one actually works.

>stopped trying to lose weight
>gained 24 lbs because cut hours at work gave me time to cook more than tuna cakes

I was skinny fat for most of my life until I started living on my own (parents knew nothing about nutrition). Reduced carb intake, got down to 15% body fat. Went on keto, now maintaining 8% bf. It works great

anything like a turtorial or book you follow for recipes for this dark magic called keto

There's about a zillion cookbooks out there for it, and about two zillion websites. Try ruled.me for recipes, reddit/r/keto for support.

For the DU links, UNCHECK THE BOX before clicking the download button. Otherwise it tries to install some stupid "download accelerator" crap that is completely useless and is probably spyware. These aren't gigabyte files that take a month of torrenting to download.

Lost close to 80 pounds in a year by doing keto. Eating out/ family gathering is annoying as fuck but its worth it.
Now that Ive achieved my goal weight, I stopped doing keto because it gets annoying after a while, but I still eat relatively less carb than an average person.
You really feel the difference. I get hungry really easy now compared to when I was doing keto.
Just fucking do it. Make sure to count calories as well or youre wasting your time.

Well yeah.

Veeky Forums is just a dirtier version of reddit

They're useful for some things. Keto support, rallying support for the God-Emperor, categorized porn, tech support.

Can you eat beans on keto?

dave chapelle, why have you fallen so far?!

no, no peanuts either which sucks balls.
I really feel like a bowl of chili too.

But some of them are half ass and titty. Fat white women are fat in the wrong places

>Merican

Enjoy your heart attacks. Everyone on keto always ends up with awful cholesterol.

Lentils is about it. Measure out your portion size

Also green bean. You can have those too.

you do realize it takes like only 10 grams of carbs to start to break your body out of ketosis.

booze is like 95% carbs. you figure it out

Peanuts are doable if you mind portion size. Actually, anything is doable if you're careful of the amount. I still put white sugar on top of my creme brulee, as you only need about 5 grams to cover a ramekin.

I ate small portions of homemade hummus on keto. The chickpeas had carbs but also good fats from extra virgin olive oil. Just have to limit it

>awful cholesterol
Mine has improved 30 points since I went on keto. No drugs either. Just bacon, eggs, steak. . . .

>no peanuts either
Of course you can, you just can't eat an entire jar of peanut butter at one sitting.

20 grams. That's the carb limit. You can eat all the sugar you want as long as your daily total is below 20 grams. That's half a candy bar, or 6 tablespoons of peanut butter, or fifty pounds of bacon. Your choice.

TO ANYONE IN THIS THREAD NOW CONSIDERING KETO

DO NOT DO IT FOR MORE THAN A FEW MONTHS

IT WILL DAMAGE YOUR KIDNEYS

why tho

Because some tard on a New Guinean cannibalism board said so apparently.

Oh shut the fuck up, I heard the same shit back in the late 90s when they said Atkins/Protein Power Plan would damage the liver, then they said no the liver produces the enzymes you need to lose weight, now it's kidneys? Come the fuck on man it's not like it's a diet of Jack Daniels and Marlboro Reds

>Mine has improved 30 points

Still in the unhealthy range most likely. If your cholesterol is over 150 you aren't healthy.

I bet you still think eggs are bad for you

They are. I get that the keto community picked out a few flawed misleading studies to promote their shitty lifestyle but eggs are still unhealthy. Egg companies in the US aren't legally allowed to call their product healthy in ads.

Because the FDA can't tell the difference between their own asses and a hole in the ground without a lobbyist giving them maps printed on money

Vegan Gains explains it perfectly here.

I went two second in before turning that stupid pretentious nonsense off, I'm not listening to someone who can't deal with criticisms on his choices while projecting superiority through his medium
He's a that and you're a cunt for linking that waste of time

You didn't respond to the fact that the studies the keto community likes to reference are horribly flawed in their design. Vegan Gains meticulously goes through the design flaws in his video.

>the studies are flawed

source?

>vegan gains

oh nevermind, you're an idiot.

Fuck that pretentious prick, does he have a degree in biology? Does he have any accreditation in the field that would indicate he's an actual expert? No? Then I'm not listening to one person's opinion bashing someone else's

ok here

What the fuck are these? These aren't serious sources either, all he does is bash the egg industry and make unsubstantiated claims

>your keto success stories
One time there was a picture of fat people eating cake, so I posted it in an image board. How well did I do?

jesus christ are you braindead? He is a medical doctor who is well-known for keeping up with the very latest in nutrition research.

You're choosing to not see the truth because you're a ketard that eats 6 eggs a day.

It's evident that dietary cholesterol raises blood cholesterol. Vegans on average have lower cholesterol levels than non-vegans.

Cholesterol is vital for our bodily functioning, so our livers produce the amounts that we need. All animals produce their own cholesterol.

The information out there can be very confusing because many studies on cholesterol don't take into account individual baseline cholesterol levels, rendering observational studies ineffective in studying the relationship between dietary cholesterol and cholesterol levels. Or they might try to skew the results by not taking into account the fact that cholesterol raises on a hyperbolic curve the more cholesterol that we consume. If you tell an already-sick population to eat cholesterol, you will not see much of a bump in cholesterol levels. If you give cholesterol to someone eating plant-based, you will see a significant difference. There even exists studies that try to hide the effects of dietary cholesterol by only measuring fasting-cholesterol levels after a cholesterol-laden meal the next day. The only type of studies that are appropriate to study cholesterol level changes are randomized clinical trials, or controlled interventional experiments in a metabolic ward.

>He is a medical doctor
No, he's a vegan who deliberately misleads people because he wants to dissuade people from eating meat.

When was the last time you ate an animal product? Be honest.

>He is a medical doctor who is well-known for keeping up with the very latest in nutrition research.

Great: when is he going to publish his research in a peer reviewed journal?

Oh he isn't?

Then his opinion is invalid.

>No, he's a vegan who deliberately misleads people because he wants to dissuade people from eating meat.

Not an argument. The exact same thing can be said for any meat-eater that argues for eating meat.

Try harder next time.

Is this good enough for you?

dresselstyn.com/JFP_06307_Article1.pdf

...

I made this exact thing the other day with zucchini spirals and chicken. Also added garlic and rosemary

You can eat anything as long as it fits your macros. So technically you could eat like 2 beans

oddly enough i've never had to argue for eating meat. Seeing as I don't concern myself with what other people eat, i couldn't be bothered that vegans eat only veggies. I eat what I like and do not concern myself with what other people do.

No that’s Atkins diet. It has a higher carb limit than keto which causes your body to produce more of the enzyme that converts fat to cholesterol

Nice try but your body can’t produce cholesterol without carbs.

Another one, supposedly targeted at beginners:

suprafiles dot org slash 85vanoz30b97

Exactly. "Oh no, there's a diet that encourages eating meat! Veguys, we'd better all spaz out and act like even bigger assholes to dissuade them!!! Because it's totes not that we're the fucking weirdos in the world!!!!!"

I don't do keto but I've reduced carbs to just fruit, so no grains or sugar. I've cut out all dairy and try to limit red meat. Mostly I eat chicken, fish, egg whites, veggies and fruit. It's a fairly simple diet and I've seen results. Only problem is eating out is near impossible.

>fingers can't quite touch

props to the person who capped this for not obstructing names like a fucking faggot

If anyone is big into lifting and very active have you considered carbo back loading? I used to be a d1 collegiate athlete and would eat 5000-6000 calories a day and still lose weight. The problem was over summer break I would gain a lot from not working out as much. So my trainer put me on a diet that was magnificent. No food for the first 3 hours a day, I would only have water with lemon juice. Then after my lift I could have about 20-30g of sugar. Plus some meat. Lunch and dinner were essentially just chicken, broccoli, and spinach. Pretty much no carbs all week. Then on Sunday, the most glorious of days. I would go to any fast food place and over indulge in anything I wanted, 3 burgers, fries, milk shakes, soda. I would eat until I felt like I was going to puke. When id go into lift the next day I was 5-10 pounds lighter. Over the course of a month I lost 30 pounds, lost body fat, and gained muscle. My bench went up from 430 to 475 all while losing weight.

If your cholesterol is over 150 it's high.

Good thing vegans eat a shit ton of carbs then.

>Seeing as I don't concern myself with what other people eat

You can pretend this is a personal choice but the reality is that most meat-eaters are suffering or dying of chronic disease long before they should be dying. Most, if not all, of these chronic diseases that people just think of as getting older are actually attributed to a life of eating unhealthy animal products.

Go look at any old vegan and they're still jumping around and active without taking medications at the ages of 80-100. Most meat-eaters are struggling to move at those ages.

Vegans "accidentally" kill their own children because veganism makes them stupid. Old vegans are only alive because they became vegans in late adulthood. They ate meat before they switched. Veganism is cancer and baby killer.

google.com/amp/s/www.aol.com/amp/2017/05/19/malnourished-baby-dies-after-parents-fed-him-vegan-diet/

A few retards did. They should have just breastfed. Go on Veeky Forums right now and see the guy in the OP of the vegan general. He's been vegan his entire life.
