Do onions belong on pizza or burgers? Or is it retarded?
Do onions belong on pizza or burgers? Or is it retarded?
Any non-sweet without onions is a failure and the "person" who made it should be ridiculed mercilessly.
Both
Raw or cooked? Red, white, green or brown? Does organic even matter when you have to peel them anyway?
Onions are OK on pizza but I wouldn't miss them. Onions are necessary for burgers.
Raw red for burgers, cooked white for pizza.
I don't think organic matters when it comes to onions.
Then what do you do with brown or green onions?
If something is savoury ot should have onion. There's a reason it is the most widespread aromatic
>raw red for burgers
>cooked white for pizza
literally the shittiest options across the board, congratulations m8, you officially have THE worst taste
green onions are fantastic for a plethora of asian rice, noodle and soup dishes
sprinkle green onions on top of your dish or ramen as a cheap way to make it look better. Throw the brown onions in the bin, they're probably rotten.
Green onions go well in stir-fry, and you can't have nachos without them.
I'm not familiar with brown onions
>raw red for burgers
>shittiest option
retard alert
raw onions go on both pizza and burgers, red, white, whatever.
Definitely, but the type depends on the other toppings. If I'm having a cowboy burger, I want fried onion rings with my barbecue sauce, cheese, and jalapenos. If I'm getting a mushroom swiss, my onions better caramelized sweet onions. White onions are for pizza with lots of garlic.
same for pizza: i wouldn't put onions on a pizza with mushrooms but if there is tuna on it onions are a must
Brown? Do you mean yellow? They have brown skins? Anyhoo..
Red are considered to be the most mild of raw onions. Use for salads, sandwich toppings.
Yellow are good for cooking. They really mellow out when sauteed.
White is used a lot raw. Mexican stuff always has white onion. They're good sauteed too.
Green onions are used as garnish and marinades for lots of stuff. Asian cooking in particular, but are great with potatoes too. More then I can think of.
This is not something to have to stick to. Just a very general rule of thumb. Also, look into chives for an even more mellow onion taste.
Never had onions on a pizza, but I always enjoy a nice sautéed onion on my burgers. Have yet to have them raw, but if they’re not chopped I wouldn’t imagine they’re that good
Burgers yes.
Onions are situational.
A cheese and onion pizza is a thing of beauty, but you've got to be in the mood for it. Maybe on a crisp fall day with a lot of good beer.
green for salads, brown go into the trash
>onion, mushroom, pepperoni
The superior pizza topping combo
>organic
Nice meme
I second this. You have to be in the mood for onion pizza and it only happens sometimes.
On a related note. Linguica pizza must be consumed once in a blue moon and you have to eat like five linguica pizzas until you're sick of it and then wait a while to do it again.
Yeah nah, you're either baiting or an actual mongoloid.
Green onions are great for soups or stir fries, or teriyaki. Basically what said
The only place onions belong is in the trash.
Burgers yeah, pizza no. Unless you want more onion flavor on top of whatever else you put in your sauce, and I can understand that. I chop up some raw garlic and use it as a topping.
Absolutely, they're amazing.
tiny needle greens type of onion - that is the best shit ever
