They will only VERY rarely reject someone who wants to listen to a story. Get to an old-folks home and ask about the Cold War or something. Work your way up from there.
Step two: learn to properly interact with the fairer sex, i.e. like a normal human being. More experience will teach you that women, like everyone else, are people. Shocking, I know. So start from there, and over time you'll learn the more subtle things. What they like to hear and when they like to hear it.
Step three: stay with it. If you get discuraged after a week of everyone thinking you're a weirdo for wanting to do stuff, you will NEVER. CHANGE. Be a fucking man for shits sake, if you can't handle a few people thinking you're a bit off - which, by the way, they probably already do - then you'll just fuck back around HERE and start bothering US about it again.

Now, what to do socially... Why don't you try new things? Things that will get you away from Veeky Forums a few hours.
Fishing perhaps? The occasional fisherman you'll see is usually quite open and nice. I don't know your physical health, but there ARE sports clubs and teams for non-professional adults around. Tennis, golf, soccer, hockey, whatever. Not in shape but want to be? Try the gym. You may be a sad sack of slop now, but a few months of steak and hard work will have women dripping off you - to say nothing of the massive Respek Nukles your new bros will give. If these are all too steep, try the library. A popular one, of course. If you notice someone reading a book by an author you like, try to strike up a conversation.
