also, muh Veeky Forums canon adds to the girth

I can't ever take The Poisonwood Bible seriously because it's the one book that my mom has read and she goes on about how it's incredible that it uses multiple perspectives and how it shows just because someone is religious doesn't mean they're that great a person.

>You guys suck! I totally don't get these shit books.

>All these people blasting OP for reading non-obscure books

The issue is that if he wasn't new he would have already read them years ago.
I don't think it's worth shitposting for just that, but hey.

Thats a pretty nice haul. Did you buy them online?

local store. Just over $60 for all of them used

at least read hemingway's big 4 and his 49 short stories (as a pdf or something) before you go crazy buying crap.

I think this is all from the past 3 weeks

I now have a planned route that I use to efficiently hit up 7 thrift stores in less than an hour to scour for what I am looking for. I've gotten it down to a science.

The religious books were bought at my local Basilica, and the Bible online.

>everyone ever is my age and must have developed with me

Your location on your lit journey is only yours. Others came before you, others will come after. Let OP read what he wants, most are great picks.

How much of those are from thrift stores and how much did they cost?

>Visits Veeky Forums once

I just ordered 100 Selected Poems by E.E. Cummings and The Trouble with Being Born by Emil Cioran

>pic related its me

I'm going to buy Wealth of Nations as well.

Any other good economic books that anyone could recommend me?

Everything that isn't on the desk surface is from thrift stores. They cost $2-$5 each.

I haven't read it, but Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell is apparently a good one.

Mother bought me The Growth of the Soil. All I got.

Why don't you read an actual economics text book instead of wasting your time with this old fart who has no clue about the modern globalized economy?
