How come /pol/ calls Veeky Forums communist left-wingers when the most popular writers here are people like DFW, Nick Land, Max Stirner, Jordan Peterson, Houellebecq, and the Greeks? To me it seems like this is the most right-wing board on this website.

why are people always desperate to talk about politics?

>DFW
meme
>Land
meme on amphetamine
>Stirner
Legit
>Peterson
Spooked little bitch
>Houllebecq
disgusting frenchman
>the greeks
meme

>DFW
>Nick Land
>Max Stirner,
>Houellebecq
>the Greeks
to label these "Right Wing" ranges from oversimplification to flat out wrong.

>Jordan Peterson,
/pol/ faggots meme him because they want to larp intellectualism

please leave the board now

Monkey impulses

Politics are fun and the world appears to be closer to ending every time I look at the news. If I call enough people cucks maybe I can trigger a revolution and fix everything.

Sometimes I think Nick Land just posts about himself on here but he's also probably the only remotely interesting and subversive living philosopher so I don't really mind in spite of the fact that he's clearly mentally ill.

Because my homeland is getting overrun by explosive sandniggers

Its like watching the fall of rome from the first row. Not so much politics or political theory but being part of history

zizek, land and the faggot of tao lin post here

try go outside for a moment, experience life like you used to a couple of years ago or when you were younger and didn't pay attention to the news.
you'll see it's not that bad.

Last picture looks like something out of Dying Earth or Book of the New Sun.

I'm 20% sure that Pynchon has posted here before. I've seen long, goofy and rambling posts making fun of his work that just seemed a bit too well-written for Veeky Forums.

I try to but there's always something to remind me. A lot of my friends are as bitter as I am and also find the subject interesting and my university is plastered with fresh socialist propaganda 24/7.

>comparing america to rome

Try again, sweetheart.

i doubt it my man, the dead cant post here

Nick Land doesn't care about us.

>le not that bad, go outside xd
That may have convinced me in 2015, but its obvious that europe is heading towards a big shitstorm
Its not a matter of being left or right, but about seeing that or being fully delusional about the future

>implying I'm dead
Come here and say that I'll fuck you up kid but not really hahaha you know what I mean my man?

I'd be honoured if fungus ayy lmaos considered me important enough to talk about.

He either doesn't want to admit it or he posts during psychotic memory lapses

>socialist propaganda
there's propaganda everywhere, part of growing is learning how to recognize it. you shouldn't let it bother you because you there's really nothing you can do about it

>Max Stirner
He was leftist as fuck

well I mean

sort of

more left than right if anything.

>why are people always desperate to talk about politics?

in a nihilistic age people cling to political opinions as source of identity

>delusional
I don't know the future, but I think there's parts of the world way shittier and with way less hope than Europe. Like America. Or the Middle East. Or everywhere else, really.

well spooked friend

hi, i'm taking the opportunity of this thread to ask if is ok to go with Stirner at first. is he easy to kinda get into?

He absolutely was not a leftist you absolute retard.

that being said he is absolutely not a right winger either.

Read Nietzche first

also don't read stirner unless you're 100% sure you can read him without taking his lessons to heart. Trying to be an egoist will just fuck your life up.

Stirner was an autist. Literally user.

yeah i'll be careful about it.
but about Nietzsche, i have The Antichrist here on my side but didn't read it yet. it is a good intro to him?

that sounds cool

>Peterson
>Spooked little bitch
Spooks carry genes, aesthetics and culture. I want to own those to the extent that they would be immortalized.

Max Stirner isnt left wing or right wing and non centrist eather.

If you read stirner you will misunderstand everything he wrote like 100% of /pol/ , Veeky Forums and /leftypol/. If you study Stirner you will become an italian criminal who makes poetry about nietzsche.

so seems life sucks anyway, huh?

We should advocate the public reading of Edward Bernays' works.

>Usury based slave labor
>vast military campaigns
>no conscription
They seem similar. Considering the fact that our culture and civilization is an eunuch of its former self, and only focuses on the economy. Marx was a mistake.

how do I join a sex gang?

None of those writers are Veeky Forums. DFW is a meme. Nick Land bait posts here. Max Stirner gets mixed reviews and is honestly just a way for kiddos to get out of arguments they are losing. Jordan Peterson gets maid fun of because Veeky Forums loves the postmodern. Houellebecq is considered an okay writer. The Greeks are pre left/right.

>stirner
>legit
pleb

>The Greeks are pre left/right.
I love this meme.

>Nick Land bait posts here
I love this meme.

Was outside just now, in my European country. Did some shopping, wasn't experiencing a big shitstorm or dystopia.

Sure there are some issues regarding immigration, however, this is not close to the American view that the whole continent is being set ablaze by raping sandniggers.

don't listen to that fag, you read Stirner before neetshe, he was published first and influenced neetshe.

>implying when the fungus people of alpha centauri are whispering nick land doesn't immediately listen VERY CLOSELY

As an American who has never set foot in Europe I can with 100% confidence say that you're full of shit.

Hell you're probably not even white. You're probably a mooslim shitskin raping white womens.

i agree with this

so what writers are Veeky Forums?

>DFW
yea
>Nick Land
Who?
>Max Stirner
a meme
>Jordan Peterson
a fad
>Houellebecq
is he? haven't seen that much threads on him
>The Greeks
All the Greeks are right wing now?

Stirner, Shakespeare, neetshe. Walt Whitman.

> Nick Land, Jordan Peterson, Houellebecq,

oh. you're new

The greeks were pretty right wing.

>The Greeks are pre left/right.
It's surely just a coincidence that only leftists say this

Right and left exist only to describe politics from the French revolution onward,

...

This; describing the Greeks on the left/right spectrum is purely anachronistic and also ignores the particulars of the Greek state.

>Stirner
>Legit
Stirner isn't a real philosopher. There's a reason nobody knows what he looks like--he wasn't even important enough to shit on, the only relevant thing he ever did was piss off Marx once.

>huu huu muh spooks
You don't believe in that bullshit and neither did Stirner. It was a flat, unambiguous lie to justify ignoring truths that you don't like.

That's great and all except for one thing..

you obviously haven't read stirner.

>I went to the store today and wasn't immediately raped, therefore everything is okay.

Insofar as Veeky Forums has right-wingers, they seem to be much more genuine than /pol/'s right-wingers. That is to say, when Veeky Forums has a right-wing thread we generally talk about actual thinkers of the right, about Catholicism (which is the ultimate right-wing religion), about contemporary movements in politics and society (which is where Land comes in). Basically, Veeky Forums takes politics much more seriously than /pol/ does, so of course when Veeky Forums does right-wing stuff it comes across much more clearly and directly, as opposed to /pol/, whose idea of right-wing intellectual activity seems to be watching Fox News and posting on Twitter.

>fungus people
yeah nah, stop your stupid fucking "sapient rights" shilling you disgusting lefty scum. I refuse to ever recognise revolting, braindead fungi as "people". How could I ever?

people are boring as shit

He's probably not lying but he also probably doesn't live near a huge metropolitan area or is in one of the countries that has taken less refugees. I personally live in the "hellhole" Belgium but i don't live anywhere near the capital and its slum known as Molenbeek. Only highly populated areas mostly suburbs in the capitals like Brussels,Paris, Berlin are as bad as you think.

Sounds like someone is spooked

i like this post

their are people on /pol/ who actually believe that /pol/ is infested with left-wingers because three people post on /leftypol/

Because in a global-capitalist society politics is perhaps the most pervasive thing.

its virtue signalling

I live in Hackney in London. I'm having a great time

Because we're fucking memeing when we talk about that. Just because it's popular to talk about doesn't mean we like it. There's always at least two John Greene threads just to rip on him. 80% of the shitheads make fun of /pol/ here. It's called a containment board for a reason.

I usually can't stand right wing writing, especially contemporary stuff, but strangely enough I've found that my all my study of the Marxist/post-modern canon has led to me to holding right wing views. I find it hard to believe anybody can truly understand what social constructionism means and then continue to hold left wing views.

>Has absolutely zero culture outside of immigration

Why is Catholicism the ultimate right-wing religion?

Because it's the oldest religion in the West that still exists. You can bring up Germanic or Greco-Roman Paganism, but they were stomped out, rightly or wrongly, and at this point trying to take them back up again is merely a revival rather than a continuation. By contrast, being a Catholic is a continuation of a tradition that is at least 1500 years old, and is often argued to be almost 2000 years old.

And, of course, to participate in what is old, and to believe it may contain more truth than what is new, is the key to being a right-winger.

good post

this

>the ultimate right-wing religion

that's Islam

>greeks were left-wing
This is anachronistic sin of the highest order, but you brought it on yourselves.

Like 40% of the population being silent and unrepresented slaves, and half the free population being house-bound women who were legally considered minors.

Yep, couldn't possibly describe this society as being in conflict with left-wing politics, or being a right wing wet dream. No way, Jose.

>preference for and opposition to hierarchy did not exist before the 1780s
t. leftist revisionists
The French revolution simply provided a new name for groupings that have existed since the dawn of civilization

>the jews stole even Talmud from the goyim
Truly, the goyim are to do everything for the jews.

>the greeks
meme

>preference for and opposition to hierarchy

That means nothing, Plato was an ardent enemy of traditional greek culture (ie the poets) was he a progressive?
Or Epicurus who encouarage to live in communes like hippies?
Or Democritus for which "equality everywere is noble"?

Applying a contingent political division to societies with vastly different problems and necessities than our own, mean making something like a label and essential characteristic of the human being, which is historically provably wrong.
It's the opening of the public space of politics in which programs and governance have to compete with different ideas that right-left dichotomy. The Ancien-Regime (with feudality, hierarchies and whatnot) wasnt right-wing, The Termidorian Reaction was. It is a modern phenomeno through and through

The endgame of your line of thinking its not even that subtle, by positing an eternal dichotomy natural to human, you can easily go and show that since most societies in history had hierachies and divisions that is the natural state of man, and the call for equality an error, somehting that shouldvve not been.
Truth is that left-and right emerg after an event or a series of events (westphalian sovereignity, capitalism, revolutions) and the different ways people reacted to it (grossly divided in two camps, those who want to go back and who don't)
