Welcome to the Veeky Forums challenge: SIDE DISH!

Welcome to the Veeky Forums challenge: SIDE DISH!

>JUST IN TIME FOR FRANKSGIVING

That's right: SIDE DISH.
What does that mean? Well, if you can't figure this shit out you should probably stay away from the knives.

*******
Dishes will be scored on the following areas, so keep that in mind.

-Presentation: The appearance of items on the plate; plating skills
-Originality: Creativity in composing the dish
-Appeal: How appetizing the food looks/whether or not the dish appeals to your personal taste as a voter
-Challenge Goals: How closely the entry followed the challenge goal(s)

The distinction between Presentation and Appeal: If someone submits an artfully arranged but burnt steak as an entry, it may score high in Presentation but low in appeal.
*******

Remember people, timestamp and unique identifiers. Stop forgetting damn you.

Please suggest as you go, 'cos I'm gathering suggestions like some sort of hoarder.

Results of last month will be posted soon, so keep your eyes open.

Bumperino

Bampo. This is NOT and entry, but I made bomb gnocchi yesterday and I should have waited a day. Idk how it would be a side dish though personally. Some people might consider it a side dish but eh, gotta think of something.

thanks for the bump veganfag

The ol' bumperoo

Yay! I'm first loser. Congrats to Snowman.
>side dish theme

I'm not sure what constitutes a side dish for most people since lots of foods people consider 'sides' seem to be things I'd consider a main (like macaroni cheese, for example), but I'm thinking to make one dish I grew up eating alongside butcher's sausages. I would guess that this dish will, undoubtedly, rustle every autist's jimmies.

Same here, definitely thinking something involving potatoes some how though

That's the great thing about the voting structure, things get equalized over the long run.
It's your thing, do what you want to do
[inept humming]
The 'tists can't tell you who to sock it to.

Numbaz are you OK buddy?

Mental health troubles go hand in hand with being a loony.
Wait... that makes no sense, or maybe it does.
I don't even know anymore.

My idea also includes potatoes.

Putting the bump in bumping

Potato bump

Keeping it bumped

Haha dude just be yourself!

Nah for real take care.

Yay! Another shitty round theme! You're the best Numbaz!

Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bah Bump-man!!

Thought I'd give this a bump just before I go to sleep for the night.

Make your own, better challenge to rival this one. I'd take part in both if you do.

...

This isn't how I wanted to win, with barely any entries and even less votes. Well, I hope we get more stuff this month, even though I've never had a Thanksgiving meal, I got some nice ideas.

Yeah, hopefully this month will go better.

With any luck this month's theme will drive more people to participate and even more to vote.
More votes this time people, make it difficult for me!

I'll try to think of something, but DESU I'm on OMAD and the closest I have to a side dish is making some broccoli to go with my steak. I suppose I could post my salad, but when I make a salad it's my main meal. Well, my only meal.

Why can't I have a normal metabolism? Why do I have to fucking starve myself to maintain a weight that most people consider blimped out?

Ay can I have you confirm this so that I know I understand the theme correctly and so that others can hear from you, the chairman, that the theme is "side dish" not necessarily "Thanksgiving side dish". I've got a couple ideas and with probably deliver tonight or tomorrow.

Ugh. When is Bubble coming back? Sorry Numbaz but this is getting too cringey anymore.

You are correct, SIDE DISH is the theme, no Thanksgiving required.
Thank you for your support.

This thread already has such a home-y feeling.
>as opposed to having a homie feeling

>how do you do fellow kids

I'm not that old, gee-whiz.
I hope you'll enter this month, lots of room for entries.

More like a homo feeling

Homo bump

Thanks for the bump and thanks for the amount of homo.

A bit of a bump

In and out, bump to bump.

Phone-bump, which can cause cracks in the screen of my phone to join the other ones.

>top master iron chef survivor

What are we surviving? Criticism from the patrons of a McChicken anime message board?

The amount of McChicken threads.

Bumpa

Garlic, onion, lemon risotto.

On the fucking side.

My photo isn't over-edited (maybe a little) my photo is just shit so

I guess I should mention that obviously it's vegan, garnished with green onion ribbons, green olives, the flakey things are lemon zest, and a little smoked paprika that I put on every "creamy" dish- which is just a habit since childhood.

Can we not just get a general for people actually trying.

I wouldn't eat it but it's not a mchicken, I'd try it I guess. fml

i'll vote I guess, 4.5, most of it goes to presentation.

Those rice crispy treats look pretty tasty. A bold choice with the olives.

Thanks for the first entry, Veganbb!

Voting begins at the start of next month, bb.

>rice crispy treats
audibly snickering

>i'll vote I guess, 4.5, most of it goes to presentation.
although it's not voting time 4.5 for presentation is not bad. I'll take this as a sign, thank you m80

Figures that a vegan would be a homo. You know those cocks you suck? That semen is animal tissue. You're a vegan cannibal homo.

...

A quick bump to keep it up.

Where the entries at bump

Bump.

Sounds good, looks shit. Maybe try posting the unedited photo?

Bump.

Keeping it alive with judicious use of bumps.

Here's the unedited

Still going stronk.

If I enter this month I'm leaning towards onion rings, which I fancy myself as being quite good at.
I've never made them with red onions before, so I might do a test batch to see if they work out, maybe with a sauce for optional dipping.
