Who was the best: Aeschylus, Sophocles or Euripides?
Who was the best: Aeschylus, Sophocles or Euripides?
I've only read Sophocles, and I liked him more than I thought I would.
Yes, Sophocles remains quite entertaining.
Aeschylus
First dramatist, best dramatist.
Xenophon
Aeschylus, there's no competition

He doesn't like Euripides, but he's okay with the two others.
I came here for the owl.
Aeschylus was the best Aeschylus.
Antigone is the GOAT greek tragedy play.
Sophocles > Aischylos > Euripides
I've read Antigone+Oedipus plays, Ajax and Prometheus Bound. So far I enjoyed Sophocles the most.
I play on reading The Persians, Orestia, Medea and Ion. Any other suggestions/must reads?
Euripides by far. Just read Iphigenia in Aulis.
This.
Sophocles wrote the same play twenty times and Euripides sucked in general.
I just loved his accent and the way you could feel his passion and excitement desu
RIP Frank
