Home cooked

What did you guys cook today?

It’s the start of my weekend. Buddy bought beer, I cook.
This is chef john’s chicken and sausage. Will update in an hour.

So... He fucks you after?

Not bad but add some spices, desu.

Anyways, I cooked salmon earlier.

the sausage is what ya call an innuendo.

just my opinion, but it looks like the chicken might be done before the potatoes.

*more spices

I always bump threads that mention Chef John. Just remember to enjoy some frottage, with you chicken and sausage!

In YOUR endo

If its covered it should be ok

Op just needs to make sure he remembers to give the ol' poka poka.

Kill yourself.

...

>Kill yourself.
But user, I'm already dead.
And I am "up-voting" Chef John.

Halloween is over, stop trying to be spoopy.

OP here, completely forgot I posted this shit. Anyways an hour later, wagh lauh.

Anyways, I did use herd de provence or whatever. Taste test time. If it’s good I’ll post in about 30 min cause eating.

did you use the drippings to make a delicious gravy? cause you better have or else

Wait, forgot to post shot after serving.

That looks really bland

brotip for next time: toss your potatoes and veggies with oil and seasoning before roasting

Come on how is it

Those bell peppers are going to be too soft by the time even the potatoes are done cooking.

Everyone here is retarded. That looks good. Great job OP.

That looks really bland compared to Chef Johns, was it good? Was the skin crispy?

I basted with the juices, the sausage didn't produce enough flavor juices so I used some juices I saved after ribs a week ago.

It was flavored really fucking well. The flavor could have been more intense, I think I'll use a smaller roasting pan. I bought a turkey sized one since I don't own one. Flavor was definitely on point though.

I tossed everything in olive oil, pork fat drippings from the last time I made ribs, and salt and herd de porvence. Everything was well coated before roasting.

The bell peppers were perfect. The potatoes could have been done a little more, but still cooked all the way through, needed more color thats all.
I didn't cover...

The skin was really good. The perfect crispiness IMO. It wasn't brittle, but it broke off with the bite.

Only thing I recommend would change (from what I did):
-Use a little more salt before roasting
-Cut potatoes a little smaller
-Cut onions a little bigger
-More sausage
-Smaller roasting dish
-Use pepper, completely forgot about pepper, lol

Overall, even if it turned out and was prepared the same I would eat the fuck out of it again.

I guess some people like them mushy. I like a light soft bite to them

>herd de provence
americans everybody

Prime rib

Red curry noodles.

Leek, broccoli, goat cheese "pie"

con't

Roasted root veg w/quinoa chickpea salad

why not just remove the lid from a dutch oven, or use an oven tray? explain this to me

last one for tonight. Curry lentil, carrot and snap peas.

Oh, your food looks like trash. Btw.

Tuna melt with twirly fries.

>Using herbs de Provence in the wintertime.

To be fair, I fuck up too sometimes. But they still look better than your trash.

Shitty polenta and barely passable risotto.

looks amazing

No it doesn't.

Y u mad?

Literally children's food.

carb on carb.
do faggots really do this?

I'm about to make myself some rice and beans.

curly fries i can see but wtf do you have against tuna melt, faggot?

Why's it gotta be gay, homo?

you're supposed to use a roasting tray, but I didn't have one, so I bought this garbage
you want to keep all the juices, and there are a lot

my food looks damn good, you just don't know

sounds good, you got a pic?

Here. I ended up using pork shoulder cause it was cheaper, per pound and still very fatty.

i love spinach, doesn't look the best but i bet its good

Looks great! Thanks for posting.

I like Chef John, I make his stuff when I can.
Is there anyone other chef you make your stuff from?
>Maangchi is awesome too

I kinda like these roasting everything in the same pan recipes, tastes homey and nice compared to the restaurant food i make in a day

do you have any recipes for that, i'd like to do more
or know any youtube chefs that do that a lot?

Thanks, appreciation is rare around here, so right back at you

not that person, but they aren't wrong. i'm making plans for this in the near future thanks to you.
