What is essential reading for other Veeky Forums boards? Can you name a canon for /a/ and /b/ and /v/ and all the others?

taipei is /b/ canon

I'm guessing they might have a better idea of that than we would.

There is a really comprehensive list of /a/ essentials somewhere. Just look up /board/ lists/flowcharts

/a/ is too busy with anime to read or they aren't proper /a/.
/v/ is too busy with games to read or they aren't proper /v/.

Veeky Forums is too busy with being a pseud on Veeky Forums to read or they aren't proper /lit.

Welcome to the NHK is /a/ essential reading.
also Lolita

I haven't read anything in 6-7 years and I post here every day

I'm pretty much a combination of /a/ and Veeky Forums, I enjoy doing both in my time but for canon novel I'd say maybe Legend of the Galactic Heroes? It was a novel before becoming the famous anime series.

What about Kizumonogatari?

is there something similar to ready player one
where the guy writing it isn't an autistic fuck and the references are actually implemented in a tasteful way?
ie not "hui look there that is totally x from y show and i totally know it and how cool is it"

All Veeky Forums should read Man and his Symbols and Simulacra and Simulation.

The Diary of Anne Frank for /mu/ obvi

>anime=pedophilia
No.

For /a/ I would say it would be
>Books on the history of Japan
>Anime:A history
>Starting Point by Hayao Miyazaki
>The manga parts of Understanding Comics and Making Comics
>Light novels
>Legend of the Galactic Heroes
>Some classics of Japanese literature
But I'm certainly not an expert when it comes to the subject.

LoGH reads like a novel. watch the old arslan senki OVAs, same author same feel but they're broken up in production unfortunately.

/r9k/: Notes from the Underground

am i rite

/mlp/ - Philip K Dick

What about Elliot Rodger's manifesto?

Lolita is more fitting for /b/

/a/:
Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya
Welcome to the NHK
Monogatari Series
Kino no Tabi
Legend of the Galactic Heroes
Spice & Wolf

Starting Point and Turning Point by Hayao Miyazaki

/a/ - tale of genjji

Except every single poster on that board HAS read Lolita for some reason

Sometimes it's brought up, and it's the only thing that they have read aside from Light-novels

Speaking of the monogatari series, is it literature?

What makes you think they actually read it as opposed to just namedropping it?

My two main boards are /v/ and Veeky Forums and what they both have in common is that there are about as many posters complaining about how they don't find enjoyment in video games or books as there are actual discussion of video games or books.

> canon for /b/
furry and trap porn threads are canon for /b/

> /pol/
Mein Kampf
> /lgbt/
Mein Kampf
> Veeky Forums
Atlas Shrugged
> /sp/
Sports Illustrated

>My two main boards are /v/ and Veeky Forums
A match made in hell

There is literally nothing wrong with story-based RPGs. Except when they're Dangan Ronpa and the plot crashes and burns.

the dreamers - bertolluci

you're right, but paedophilia=Veeky Forums
then again Lolita is a book for plens unlike Pale Fire
