If you butcher your own fresh chicken, sure why not. It's like german "Mett", minced pork meat with spices eaten raw on a bun. It's risky but if handled properly, nothing to worry about. But raw chicken doesn't really taste any good so, I am not sure why ine would do it.

I have. The raw lungs are by far the tastiest and their crunchy texture is great. Never been a fan of heart or liver though, cooked or raw.

Anyway, to answer OP's question: I have had it. But it doesn't taste very good IMHO. Some meats, like beef, do have a pleasant texture and flavor when raw. But chicken? Nope. Not in my opinion anyway.

Its probably just a matter of familiarity and being used to eating raw beef. Every time in the past that you saw or tasted raw chicken you go "oh no this wasnt cooked properly" and stop eating due to fear of getting an illness, not because the texture itself is bad.

It could be a matter of familarity. But I think that most people probably don't care for it. Rare/raw beef and fish are popular worldwide and are standard dishes in many completely unrelated cultures. Raw poultry, OTOH, is restricted to small parts of Asia.
