Why did Kafka include so many mini-liaisons with women in The Trial? What is the point of them to the story?

Why did Kafka include so many mini-liaisons with women in The Trial? What is the point of them to the story?

horny, lonely fantasies

But how do they contribute to the story?

Kafka was not lonely, at least not in the sense that he could not get ass, my dude

They are in there to show that these kind of relationships (maybe woman in general) dont help.

Don't help with what? Could you expand?

i been sprayed in face & on bare feet by a uncertifed maintenance man,& my dog becuz of dislike. He never gave notice in the senior 55+ park. Burning pain in nasal Brain headache, im very sick, at this writing No body i talk to seems to ask more questions The ER here didnt even take a toxicology test of urine. Im very tired, now im very scared im poisoned & dying. please help me My whole body hurts, eyes going bad quick.

K. doesn't understand why he's being put on trial and thinks of himself as innocent, yet he's very promiscuous and disrespectful.

Sex or love dont help in the kind of soul-crushing situation that K is in. Or at least they can't combat the powers that K is faced with.

So you are saying he reached for these relationships as an effort to distract him from his situation?

prove his heterosexuality

That't an interesting point of view. Never thought about it.

>kafka
>the point

loling at you

Fucking stupid cover

Fool

Who cares, Kefka is shit.

Good point. People with an immigrational background probably experience a whole 'nother lever of stress and alienation in dealing with bureaucratic systems. Let's pray that Kafka was translated to their obscure language.

Why, user? Please elaborate because that was my understanding of The Trial but I'm open to hear what you have to say.

Not really, people don't see this kind of stuff as a distraction, they see it as a solution. And that is not the case for K.

Why would he see it as a solution?

Sex isn't a private/intimite thing anymore but, as everything else, is devoured in the mechanical logic of the supressing machine/apparatus of the system

In general it is widely seen as a solution to human suffering. Maybe K doesn't see it this way, but that Kafka mentions it could be seen as a commentary on this problem.

He wanted love interest for selling the movie rights.

All sex does in the book is distract K from his goals

>Discussing charcoal.
Kafka wanted his unfinished manuscripts burned after he died.
They denied a dying man his wish and published it instead.

Why discuss something the author didn't want to finish, edit and turn into a coherent product?

The circlejerks around this piece of shit has to stop. It's not good just because he killed himself and they saved it from the flame.

>product

No way to know because the chapters before the last were supposed to tie up at least some of these and they don't exist

just my man k avin a laff, that silly goose

Kys

>killed himself

What did he mean by this?

Why is it so hard for this thread to become coherent?

Because no one here actually knows the answers to the questions. I doubt most of them have even read the book.

Kafka's works were the light novels of his era. His proponents will tell you how deep his work is, but in actuality, the story is just a wrapper around the wank material written for man children.

Yeah nothing gets me harder than messengers who can't reach their destinations and bouncing balls.

shut up

Women are the means by which K. hopes to communicate directly with the people he believes can help him

>In general it is widely seen as a solution to human suffering.
>tfw you can't level up to the degree you see past earthly love as some solution for anything

I don't want to be a shitty kid that believes in hollywood. I want to level up. LET ME LEVEL UP

Because he doesnt take his situation seriously, he just goes about womanizing as usual

>[... ] it's a movie, with different varieties of situations. So you've got buildups, touching moments, aggressive moments. You've even got a 'Pause for Porno.' It's got everything that a movie needs.
