Obviously if you're in a nuclear shelter for a possible "long time," you want: 1. as much to read as possible, 2. books that will garner a reread and 3. books that can uplift in dark times. I would say:

1. Infinite Jest-obviously fucking long, deserves a reread, and although it has plenty of darkness, IMO DFW has a sort of reassuring tone-as if humanity can be beyond fucked but maybe there is some way out.

2. Anna Karenina - See above

3. The Bible - Obvious reasons

But his strike capability is, like, only in the western third of the pacific ocean, if that.

I don't live in any island territories, so I think I'm going to be cash.

A Bible, a big dictionary, and Plutarch's Parallel Lives.

1. Complete Shakespeare
2. Don Quixote
3. Ulysees

The unabridged Liddell-Scott-Jones Greek-English lexicon. When we lose, I can still give one North Korean a last whack before I go.

If we are talking about length:

1. Fallout:Equestria - 660k words
2. Fallout:Equestria Project Horizons - 1.7m words
3. Fallout:Equestria MN7 - 980k words

I think you mean /pol/

The torah, the bible and the quran.

People have spend millennia analysing and dissecting the meaning of these books, and we still can't agree on its meaning and how to interpret its message. So I'll have enough to do for as long as I need.

Fineganns Wake
Cantos of Ezra Pound
Kierkegaard's journals

In Search of Lost Time
The Bible
Complete Stories of Hemmingway

This wouldn't be my shout (I posted above) but I would be very happy to find these three books in my "fallout" shelter

1. The King James Bible
2. Don Quixote (in spanish) [Not fluent it will be fun to decode my favorite book]
3. Plato's Complete Dialogues

desu they are all within 5 feet of me at this moment, well the Don Quixote is in english but whatever.

>Bible
All of existence is supposedly controlled by a hateful psychopath who makes poor use of his omniscience and -potence, if you don't conform to his arbitrary commandments you will burn forever, if you do you're in for an eternity of boredom and you can't even die.

Jesus, you people. What else does it take to convince you that your all loving god does not exist if not the destruction of the entire world?
Then again, hope for a better world after you are dead would properly be the only thing that could keep you going in a bunker.

- My bible. There's no telling what might happen down there!
