NO SOUP FOR YOU

moose soup?

vegetables + hot water

wa la

I actually made some soup earlier today. Loosely followed this recipe: seriouseats.com/recipes/2016/10/beef-barley-soup-recipe.html

I used onion, carrots, celery, mushrooms, some green beans, garlic, thyme, bay leaves, rosemary, barley, some leftover beef stock I made and some chicken stock I had in the pantry, a can of diced tomatoes and chopped up the last of the strip loin roast I made on Christmas.

Came out pretty well, it was a comfy meal on a cold day.

Your dinner parties must be the talk of the town.

you have to start with a nice mirepoix (pic related)
sautee in a pan, then add your stock.
i use vegetable
but plain water will do as long as you season it properly
then yo can add other things, like beans, barley, potatoes, cauliflower, peppers..
you get the idea
generous seasoning always helps
try some herbs like bay, thyme or dill
and spices like paprika, ginger, chilli and peppercorn
and don't forget salt to taste
let it simmer for while until all the vegetables are cooked
enjoy your soup user

You guys are doin good

chop up some boiler onions, carrots, and celery

sautee them with olive oil and butter

add a pound of pork belly chopped into cubes

cook until onions and veggies are caramelized and then throw in some crushed garlic cloves

throw in two shots of whiskey and burn off the alcohol

add salt, pepper, thyme, sage, and parsley

keep adding water and deglazing until you get a creamier consistency

That does look pretty comfy. I like the use of mushrooms, too many people can't stand the idea of them.

Those people are wrong.

much love, no hate

Split pea recipe off the bag of Hurst's Hampeas, but just buy cheap generic split peas and use real chunks of ham instead of their "ham flavor packet". Throw in some bay leaves also (remove before eating).

Give me your best soup recipe that involves ginger and garlic

Put food in water. Simmer until cooked. Drink water.

Nobody asked HOW to make soup. kys

2 pkg. Pictsweet "vegetables for soup"
1 pkg. Kroger mirepoix
3 cups Spicy V8
1 quart Simply Organic Beef Broth
1 can white beans, drained and rinsed
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
1 pkg. Sazon Goya
salt to taste

Sweat the mirepoix in olive oil. Do not brown. Add remaining ingredients with exception of beans. Bring to a boil and reduce to a simmer. When vegetables are tender, add beans and stir. Allow to cool and store overnight.

innocence, incidents, isn't it

Allrecipes.com/recipe/218804/turkey-carcass-soup/

Made this yesterday but instead of barely I used rice and I didn't use any cabbage and instead of using dried parsley I used fresh to mix in per serving to give the soup some freshness. And I didn't follow measurements because I cook all the time and feel more confident eyeballing shit than giving a fuck about precise measurements unless I'm making bread or some shit.

>tfw you make a big pot of split pea soup then get wasted for the next week while it goes bad
I hate life.
