The Legend of the 10 Elemental Masters by Nick "Ulillillia" Smith

I've read it, I found it disappointing and as an actual programmer/computer scientist find him to be a lesser autist

...

My first thoughts were A Scanner Darkly - Phillip K. Dick, but the split in the singular got me thinking of Herman Hesse. Steppenwolf, then Narcissus and Goldmund.

>As to pic related

I love Kierkegaard's teleological suspension of the ethical, taking Abraham to the mountain top and lifting the knife. For this, we call him patriarch. Judith lifted the knife for God as well, and let it fall to save her people. WHY ARE WE NOT TALKING ABOUT THIS

...

Damn, that's an interesting perspective. I always wondered how far on the spectrum it was, sorry I cannot think of anything better. :(

Been meaning to read more Hesse, read Siddhartha several years ago and would love to see what else he's got. I also want to get into reading PKD too, seen several of the movie adaptations but would love to read the source text, especially considering how "eccentric" (or nuts) he was. Thanks for the recommendations user!

The Tibetan Book of the Dead (Bardo Thodol)

If you're not familiar with PKD my recommendation list is as follows:

Steppenwolf
Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
A Scanner Darkly
Narcissus and Goldmund

You'll appreciate all of them individually and in contrast this way.

Thank you kind user, I wish I had recommendations for you in return.
