Tfw reading just the first couple of chapters to understand the writer style

>tfw reading just the first couple of chapters to understand the writer style
>tfw reading later the book summary on wikipedia or other place
>tfw watching the book movie
>tfw people think I'm a big reader that has read hundred of books

who here /redpilled/

That's not redpilled that's literally the most bluepilled thing you can do

>he thinks literature is a race and you need to read [x amount of] books
Why is this kind of behavior almost exclusive to this medium? I've never heard of people reading anime summaries so that they don't "have to watch them". What gives?

>He thinks literature is a race

That's what I get for trying to post seriously

there's not benefit to reading over watching lectures and movies that isn't signal virtualing.

>but muh word play
listen poetrhy or rap or music.

>but muh plot
movies

>but muh information
again, university lectures.

>but fun
videogames

deal with it.

Sounds like the same amount of work for less pleasure imo

Behold, the ubermensch

>be me
>buy very difficult obscure books
>skim them and look for difficult words
>write these words down
>when somebody asks me what the book is about I namedrop the difficult words
>I make sure the sentences I say are long and difficult to understand too
>tfw the person is too embarrased to admit he doesn't understand it
>tfw they think I'm a genius

You're retarded. Not redpilled.

t. book-reading turbobrainlet

You'd be surprised. People take the amount of anime you've watched super seriously and are super competitive about it on MyAnimeList (Goodreads for anime).

>buy cheap books that don't sell
>make up random stories about those books to fuck with friends

>listen to audiobook
>"yeah, i read [book]"

>going to Veeky Forums
>actually reading books
I seriously hope you don't do this, you can just read the book reviews, it saves so much time.

Audio books are ok though

As long as you pay attention to them.

Only retarded purists say audiobooks don't count as 'reading' a novel. There are of course downsides but as long as you pay attention and don't have it on in the background you're pretty much there. Nothing beats reading, but audiobooks come close.

keep telling yourself that commutecuck ;)

OP, that’s literally the start of Fahrenheit 451’s slippery slope. Please never do this again.

> t. ADD meme diagnosis

>signal virtualing
>listen poetrhy or rap or music.
>there's not benefit
I don't care what level of irony this post was made on, I want to end your life

>vidya
>movie adaptations
>valid replacement
kek

Give me a good plot summary of the dictionary.
