I think with everything becoming more interconnected paradoxically people become more isolated. We're at a point where everything we need or any interest we'd like to pursue is that much more readily available from the comfort of your own home, there's no more need to go out to do a lot of stuff anymore. Even when you do want to connect with people and go outside doing those things is that much more dependent on the internet. In a way even though it ostensibly connects us it also divides us.

capitalism unites humans in separation. that's how it has always been.
