How do you deal with this? I'm starting to think I've wasted years of my life for nothing.

They can out-retrorockets you sure, but sophists are the devil.

By training my brain in action and not just autistically absorbing tome after tome of someone else's thoughts and fantasies.

My IQ is very-high, but I don't read very much.

Philosophy requires thinking. Reading can still help you with philosophy.

You need to think for yourself, and not simply collect knowledge, but put the knowledge to work as well.

>no matter how much porn I watch I'm still not very good at sex
really makes you think, doesn't it?

Stop holding yourself up to an unobtainable standard. Read what you enjoy and find purpose in, inadequacy can be a good motivator but taken to an extreme can lead to depression and nihilism.

Why is a head of mid-twenties lesbian shopped to a teenage male body?

Hahaha suck my dick brainlet, respect your more intellgient superiors hahaha.

...

You guys know IQ isn't recognized outside of the US, right? I mean if I found out I had a super high IQ I'm sure I'd be all for it, but this assumtion that you can take a quick test about cross country train-scheduling and deduce toa percentage point a persons intellectual worth seems a little far fetched, no?

Come here fellow brainlet

I'll break it down for you.

>Me read much feel smart
>Guy who no read natural smarter
>Me emotions me not smarter than natural no booksies guy smart

You get it now, you pretentious cunt?

I'm fully aware of my ability to verbally demolish anyone.

It's like the difference between Mozart and Beethoven. Sure, Mozart could compose entire symphonies flawlessly in his head before even putting pen to paper, but that doesn't mean that Beethoven should have just given up. He had to work harder than Mozart, but he produced great work nonetheless.

I don't believe this is true. Unless the person is a true genius and somewhat well read then it just wouldn't happen. If you're really well read you have way more sources to draw from

Okay here's a tricky trick my brainlet friendy friend.

Through a process of ruthless elimination, of pragmatism, skepticism and reason think your way to the ideas and ideals you support and allow them to make up the foundation of your belief system. If you don't know who you are and what you support and why you support it you can't accomplish anything. "know yourself and know your enemy then something" t. suntsu.

>inability

I have an IQ of 130, and I was often out-philosophized by people with a lower IQ until I started reading.

People with a higher than average IQ are no more likely to be rational than people with with an average IQ

Yes friend you are wholly in the right, while 5'2 might sound like it's not much if you simply convert it to 157cm it sounds like a whole lot doesn't it.

You have, Odin teaches in the Havamal that books will give you intellect but only travel will give you wisdom. Wisdom is the only thing that makes a good leader a good leader. If you want more then become more wise. Travel, it doesn't have to be far just walk around an area you've never been before. Talk to people you've never talked to before. Not to proselytize but you should read the Havamal before you travel. Even if you don't worship Odin the book contains many wise bits of advice for travel and for life in general that can be useful even if you don't believe in him.

>travel will give you wisdom
Sounds like normie tier postcard aphorism "philosophy".

My experiences with other people above and below my intelligence level supports this. You can't enter every discussion and answer every question without a solid base of ideas and knowledge to draw from. Ignorant people with high IQs can look just as stupid as anyone else.

But it isn't about having the biggest, juiciest coc- I mean brain in the room anyway. It's about you coming to terms with the world while you're here. So just quit being a insecure faggot cause you'll just lag behind anyway. Humble yourself and work your way up honestly.

I'll agree. Travel is a very watered down word almost devoid of any meaning nowadays.
Maybe explore is better? become the story don't just read it. It might be a cliche but cliches often contain truths do they not?

>tfw no matter how well-read you are someone with a higher IQ can out-philosophize you in a matter of seconds without ever having read a book

That's not even true. You can listen to genius scientists attempt to make philosophical comments and it's embarrassing. To philosophize properly you have to be familiar with the concepts, distinctions, etc.
