" Kokoro " is one of the most moving/simple/emotional books I have ever read. It isn't solely about alienation, but it touches on alienation due to life experience. It's the only book I've read that has shaken me to my core and made me realize that life is both sad and beautiful simultaneously. It's written so simply, without arrogance or heavy tones of intellectualism, but no text has ever made me feel as much. I'm haunted.
