Is he dare I say it, the greatest philosopher ever? I'm almost finished Ethics and its fucking brilliant. I have never been so awestruck but one man's supreme intelligence. Name ONE philosopher who out-did him.
You can't get much better than the Ethics

Spinoza tries to present his views about theological subjects with a great deal of restraint. There is, however, one fundamental point regarding which he consistently refuses to make any unambiguous concessions, and this is precisely the possibility of miracles as supra-natural phenomena. Whereas he speaks without hesitation of supra-rational teachings, he consistently rejects the possibility of miracles proper. If he had always rejected the possibility of supra-rational teachings, he would have had no choice but either simply to identify the Biblical teaching with the rational teaching – and this would have been fatal to the separation of philosophy from theology – or else simply to deny all truth to all Biblical teachings as revealed teachings. The utmost he could dare was not always to deny the fact of supra-rational revelation but always to deny its supra-natural or miraculous character, and he could not do this consistently or conveniently without denying the possibility of miracles altogether. To avoid the break with the Bible in the crucial point, he had to assert that the possibility of miracles proper is denied by the Bible itself. To maintain this assertion in the presence especially of the New Testament accounts of the resurrection of Jesus – of accounts which, as Spinoza admitted, are incompatible with the spiritualistic interpretation of Christianity --, he had no choice but to suggest that any Biblical accounts of miracles proper cannot be really Biblical but must be sacrilegious additions to holy writ.
what did you expect from a fucking jew
I've assumed for a while now that nearly every Jewish philosopher is ultimately nothing more than somebody asshurt that their race isn't God's chosen people any more. Think about it. From Spinoza to Freud to Foucault, it's all nothing more than petty jealousy that they had their chance to be special to God forever and fucked it up. Deconstruction? Poststructuralism? All petty shit. "If God doesn't favor us any more, we'll just deny he exists! And then we'll deny truth, since truth comes from God!"
You sound like you have never so much as read a summary of any of those guys and you get your ideas about philosophy and judaism from propaganda.
Besides why would the Jews be jealous of a bunch of goy slaves that they rule over? =^)
God. Christcucks need to get out.
it's because he's basically a pantheist in the same way, say, Anaxagoras was. God is basically a uniform endless being from which everything stems, but has no human properties.
Yo what are the best secondary studys of Ethics? I am already reading Beth Lord's reader's guide; I need something else. Is the book by Michael Della Rocca from Routledge decent?
To Spinoza nothing can be supranatural: if a miracle happens, it would become immediatly natural, according to Spinoza.
yes
