I don't much care. What kind of reaction were you hoping for when you made this thread?

I am in Portland too. I go to the dead mall Powell’s because it has no bums and I can park nearby.

what's number 20?

and the other book store aorund there is much better, scrub

Fuck Portland. Powells is great but fuck Portland

>claims to be well-read
>lives in Portland

fuck portland.

can you rotate it right side up so I don't have to break my neck to respond to this bait thread?

savage

would cop book on top left shelf.

1984

Which store?

LOL why the hate?

Who cares? It's called 'best sellers' not 'best books'. Like nearly any bookstore, there's good shit there; you just have to find it.

vegetarian and sympathizer are real Veeky Forums
most people like all the light you cannot see

Surprised the Witcher book is a best-seller.
It and Gunslinger are because of the movies.
Handmaid's Tale because of the show.
American Gods because of the show.
1984 because now that there's a Republican president, it's trendy to suddenly be terrified of Big Brother when you never gave a shit before.

heres the vid, but my bookshelves are there as well. Maybe someone will appreciate them.

A Darker Shade of Magic is actually trash. Written by the same standards as Eragon or a local newspaper opinion piece.

First, get the photo horizontally, second: how did the princess saves herself??

How much bum shit did you wade through to get there?

A lot of librul selections. I guess it is Portland after all.

>Milk and Honey
>#1

>Ready Player One

how the fuck is jomny sun's shitty book a bestseller the world is fucked

Why does everyone hate Portland seriously

They’re trolling. Portland is great. People actually read here.
I moved from the Midwest where the only bookstores are B&N. Reading is seen as an antisocial and suspicious activity.
A lot of the Portland hate is just /pol/ leaving its containment board and trying to bash liberals.

Ah ok, fair enough.
I live in the UK but want to move to the US and Portland is the #1 city I want to go to.

As a person who moved to Portland a couple of years ago, I’m obligated to pretend to be a native and tell you that we’re full.
It’s a lovely city.

is this video you

Figures a man who doesn't even know how to rotate a photo lives in Portland.

He left it tilted for irony’s sake.

THAT is Portland.

Thanks, I'll do the same on the unlikely chance I get there!

Portland is the exact opposite of what it claims to be. Working class, tolerant and diverse = in debt (mostly to the National Bank of Mom & Dad), narrow-minded conformism and viciously racist. By far the most segregated city I've ever lived in.

Also Powell's is always overpriced. I hope Bezos fucks it to death.

>How much bum shit did you wade through to get there?
That would be the main library located just a few blocks away. Getting inside was an adventure every time. Pointless anyway as like said they actually read (because it's so gloomy all the time) and any book you'd like has 6 goddam holds on it.

Why is that Blake Crotch guy so popular? His shit stinks.

>Rupi at 1 followed by Ready Player One
>The Hate U Give next to Vonnegut
Holy shit the memes were real

Portland is a yuppie-filled shithole

is it so fucking hard to rotate the image?

Have you guys read three body problem? I have a copy of it and I'm considering it against a few other options for next book.

Next book is The Dark Forrest. Duh.
