I was watching a documentary on the Chernobyl disaster and its aftermath and realised that radiation is literally the most terrifying, insidious thing ever. Its a fucking invisible enemy. What are some books that touch on this kind of stuff?
Books that are about or have a plot that involves radiation and its effects?

I don't think it was a study thing I think his family just wouldn't let the doctor stop treatment and they were too scared of legal consequences to tell the family that it was hopeless

>The day before the sale to the second scrapyard, on September 24, Ivo, Devair's brother, successfully scraped some additional dust out of the source and took it to his house a short distance away. There he spread some of it on the concrete floor. His six-year-old daughter, Leide das Neves Ferreira, later ate a sandwich while sitting on this floor. She was also fascinated by the blue glow of the powder, applying it to her body and showing it off to her mother. Dust from the powder fell on the sandwich she was consuming; she eventually absorbed 1.0 GBq and received a total dose of 6.0 Gy, more than a fatal dose even with treatment.[10]
I'm dying over here. What a hue way to die

Not a book but you would really like this movie.
It's a BBC movie about a realistic aftermath to a nuclear war.
Black Rain by Masuji Ibuse. It's about Hiroshima getting nuked, the hardships of being a civilian in Japan during the war time and its aftermath and suffering from radiation poisoning disease.
I meant underworld, I hope you don't think underworld is fedora shit
