inb4 not a fully descriptive of ideology

Obligatory

I don't have it saved anymore but I scored left libertarian a few months ago

Most everyone on this board is a red square, but fancies themselves a green square

This was what I got last time I tested.

fuck off or ten years in the gulag ;^)

...

Way purple
Obligatory these things never accurately reflect the individual, conceded this one probably works best.

>What's good for the most successful corporations is always, ultimately, good for all of us.
What type of retard would agree?

The kind of retard who agrees that "what is good for the nation is what is good for all of us," or, "what is good for society is good for all of us," and so on.

...

people could think that the companies make money by providing for people, and by providing better products of services, they make more money - successful corporations.

i disagree with this as people dont always have complete freedom of choice and many companies act against the interests of the consumer for increased profit. though i can see the logic and it can work for some examples

The difference is that """society""" and """country""" can be interpreted to mean everyone (even though in practice it doesn't), but the corporations implicitly means the 1%

Was bottom left, now probably just far left. When I take power I will force my gulag prisoners to make political charts for me

Friends.

Superior memetic test.

Neoliberal economists use the argument that "what is good for corporations is good for all of us" all the time. It's a fairly logical one if you accept their initial assertion that the essence of the nation is its economy. It's just as logical as the arguments about society and the nation itself.

I agree with what you're saying here (and actually put "agree" on the question) but the "always" gave the question a pretty clear slant

Want to be a fascist but I hate big business and don't trust anyone in control who isn't me. Populist is probably the best description, with delusions of divine right.

>and don't trust anyone in control who isn't me
Why are you authoritarian at all?

Horoscopes for "smart" people

And yet dinomedia thinks we're all purple frogposters. Not so far in this sample.

I am glad the silent majority is showing itself here. :^)

this

Kill capitalism before it kills you

Veeky Forums has a larger majority of lefties since most people here actually read.

i like sam hyde more than i care to admit

Because I don't want to be called a 'cuck' by /pol/

Wrong on both fronts

>Veeky Forums has a larger majority of lefties since most of the people here are ensconced in academia
ftfy

I might be out of touch because I'm rarely on Veeky Forums anymore, but that's how it was before the election.

Academia teaches liberalism more than it does leftism. I'm certain that most people in political science courses can even explain what Marxism is and think it's just when the government does stuff.

So being an academic makes you lean left while reveling in ignorance makes you lean right. Sure is Huckabee here.

Can't even*

>if you aren't an academic you're ignorant
No, you're right, it's baffling anyone would think you guys were condescending and out of touch.

>this immediate damage control from cross-posters
Post charts, newfriends

Its amazing how lefties all consider themselves so libertarian and supportive of freedom, but as soon as they get into power they want to control everything

>Academia teaches liberalism more than it does leftism.
I don't know that that's particularly true. As I recall, there are more openlyl socialist professors than right-leaning.

I posted the anime chart. I'm a solid Shimoneta.

That wasn't the point of the comment. The point was describing the political landscape in these kinds of dichotomies is a joke, resigned to hacks like Huckabee.

If people would be more willing to compromise instead of dealing with caricatures people like Huntsman would be in office.

I don't often watch anime, and though I would usually mock animeposters, I appreciate your honesty.

I like Moldbug

Where does that put me on the chart (the questions on the actual quiz are godawful)?

Why are the questions bad?

there's no way to avoid control, the modern state and technology are inherently centralizing. rightists want to promote healthy family units while leftists want to turn everyone into blue haired genderfluid fursuiters and debase civilisation.

Left-libertarianism is impossible. Left-wing economics implies that you want a highly controlled economy, and do not want people freely trading goods and services. As soon as you get in the way of free exchange, you cannot call yourself libertarian

It is impossible, but that's because it's an-com, not because it's inherently self-defeating

>all these leftists

>Left-wing economics implies that you want a highly controlled economy

It does.

end yourself

Bruh, a core component of Marxism is the abolishment of the state

>Ultra-faggot

No thanks, I'll pass.

They can claim that all they want, but that's never would it would actually look like. Any actual implementation of Marxism will lead to a high amount of control.

Sure, it won't work. But that doesn't mean their philosophy implies centralized control. An-cap is stupid and impossible, too, but you wouldn't call them a fascist just because their form of government eventually requires some sort of enforcement.

...

What is your conception of an "implementation of Marxism"? Marx, December 7, 1867: "The subjective tendency of the author (which was perhaps imposed on him by his political position and his past), namely the manner in which he views and presents to others the ultimate results of the real movement, the real social process, has no relation to his own actual analysis."

Even Marx recognized that the later conclusions he published were bullshit. I don't know what strict model you think there is to follow.

Collective ownership implies centralized control, state or no state.

I was varying degrees of green when I took this a long time ago, but now when I try to take it I can't even answer most of the questions. It needs a no opinion option.

>tfw green
>love spice & wolf and one piece
Besides, how are these socially conservative? The former is all about stronk independent female and the latter is full of trannies, and anti capitalism and economic exploitation.

What's the shit below planets?

>libertarianism
>right
Nice try, Burger.

Academia tends to be liberal not left as another user already pointed out.

Depends on what you study. My business major only had neo liberals.

the ultimate goal of marxism is the abolition of the political economy and the commodity form. a society in which production is no longer done for profit but a) to meet human needs and b) for the sake of human self creation. capitalism is by its very nature a highly controlled economy a runaway system that demands unsustainable growth and profit maximisation at all costs. a system that forces the great majority of people to sell their labor in order to survive

You are thinking that an externality has to enforce this "collective ownership," which is totally against the purpose. No one is going to be enforcing any sort of property norms, except me, over my property. In a world where everyone else does likewise, the result is communism.

Nothing on any of these charts measure social conservativeness. It's economic right vs left and Authoritarian vs Libertarian. One Piece is flat out libertarian, being about literal pirates fighting for freedom above all. Spice & Wolf is equally far right, from an economic perspective, and not particularly in favor of strong governing.

Bottom left is Kemono Friends.

I had a feeling I was economically pretty centrist (the common-sense mixed approach). Politically I tend to support the right-wing, though. Maybe if the left-wing parties stopped opening the immigration floodgates and doing all their diversity and tolerance shit they might be more acceptable.

you just described ancap

>Depends on what you study. My business major only had neo liberals.
No, I mean I recall a survey being done, and Universities have more openly socialist professors than the entirety of the right half of the spectrum. It's a distinctly leftist environment.

>>libertarianism
>>right
>Nice try, Burger.
You're not reading these charts correctly.

There's no buying and selling in marxism, people freely give what they have to whoever needs it.

No, because Acap has businesses which assert their property over means of production which should be owned by everyone, and regulate their control of labor through the manipulation of currency.

No, I didn't. Anarcho-capitalists believe in a "private property covenant," which requires a state. People like Hermann-Hoppe are statists pretending to be anarchists. It shows in their bloodthirsty hatred of communists

I'm not into politics but could someone explain what this means for me? Some questions were vague and I might not have understood them best, so there might be some error here, but generally what does this mean for my concern?

You're what American politics calls a Libertarian

Is that good or bad? I'm VERY slightly "right" and about half-way to full Libertarian... is that bad or good ?

>is a political ideology good or bad?
lol
Like, nigga, it's just what you believe about politics. Only stupid people make moral judgements about that. The only use this really has is to let you know where to find people who agree with you

Oh ok. I honestly don't even like the idea of getting a label, I just did it for the meme. I think my own views differ a lot and are a lot more specific than their vague questions on the test which forced me to answer one way or another.

If you want anything specific out of this thread, go check the anime chart for your match

>people freely give what they have to whoever needs it.

And who makes them do that? People are not going to do this naturally on their own

Like I said, it's not feasible, but that doesn't mean the ideology implies central control. Quit being obtuse.

it's bad, means you are a fucking paedo

Nice shitpost.
What's your alignment?

Like I said, there is a difference between liberalism than socialism. Socialism is the rejection of capitalism, not simply reforming capitalism. Liberals that call themselves socialists are people that listened to conservative propaganda on socialism and thought it sounded like a good idea.

>People are not going to do this naturally on their own
They have never had the capacity to do it. This is what technological development allows for.

This compass/test is such complete garbage, these questions are awful. Answering "agree" to a question like "there is a worrying fusion of information and entertainment" will undoubtedly put you higher on the y-axis, even if it's just a personal opinion and not something you want government to control.

>tfw pleb

I voted right-wing in our last general election (not US) for similar reasons, though my compass has me in the green field.

>Nothing on any of these charts measure social conservativeness.
The entire right side is more socially conservative supporting hierarchies. Violet justifying these with economical power.

>literal pirates fighting for freedom above all
Not economic freedom, since the protagonists don't pirate for shit and help pretty much every oppressed fuck on their way. Helping others without any profit for yourself doesn't sound too right wing. And the antagonist of almost every arc was someone who took their freedom to oppress others too far, often based on their economic power, which would be perfectly consistent with the world view but made them the bad guy. Tenryuubito as the rich guys with absolute power thanks to their wealth and status are presented as main antagonists as well.

Spice & Wolf is more tricky, I don't recall the protagonists attitudes towards the economics too much outside of using them to their advantage.

>Kemono Friends
>Japari Park is an untamed paradise where many humanoid animals, known as "Friends," live their everyday lives in all corners of the natural environmental park.
Uhh. The chart is a lie.

I'm right wing but I hate the cultural and social effects of capitalism. But at the same time I think that any 'anti-capitalist' movement is doomed at best and tyrannical at worst.

All h-hail Gnon...

>Mothers may have careers, but their first duty is to be homemakers.

Were this phrased as "Fathers may have careers, but their duty is to their children and/or spouse", most would have no problem agreeing. The use of the word "homemaker" is to trigger feminist/SJWs straight to the "strongly disagree" button. Not realizing that what they've signed up for is their boring shitty job over their own son.

Japari Park is the epitome of a left-libertarian utopia. All basic needs are provided for, and problems are solved through mutual, free cooperation. Cafes, transportation, and even construction efforts are all done by Friends, free of charge, to help anyone in need.

Can't see One Piece as right-wing. The main character's father is basically a socialist revolutionary and is painted in a positive light so far (except by the WG).

kek

8values is much better in my opinion

The two drivers for the Strawhat crew are Luffy and Nami. Luffy is driven by a lust for adventure and a desire for pure freedom. Nami is driven by an equal mix of compassion and greed. It results in the crew fighting back against anyone who violates the NAP, and then charging the people they help. I stand by One Piece as an-cap, even if not all of its heroic characters perfectly fit that categorization.

I'm better than all of you.

Large corporations buy out those "lefties" you speak of. Just like they do with all politicians.

It's interesting that you seem to have moderately socially conservative views and yet are in the bottom left square. How would you describe yourself ideologically?

He's probably liberal on social issues like gay marriage and pornography. That's enough to put blue conservatives into the green box.

I'm moderate right when it comes to social issues.
