How's it? What have you gained thus far? Did you go in with any prior understandings of economics?

its OK I guess. Somewhat unfortunately I went in after reading a lot of secondary texts. This made the first three (nigh incomprehensible) chapters easier, but has made a lot of what comes after feel a little redundant.

I have a very basic idea of economics, what does Marx propound in those 500 pages you have read? Also, any secondary sources you do recommend?

He starts off with the commodity, leading to value, then money, then capital. Then he talks about the working day in terms of time. He's making a kind of argument, with a wide degree of refrences, half the time im looking at footnotes.

I read Engles "Socialism, Utiopian and scientific", and watched kapitalism101's videos first.

Go user GOGOGO.
Not many have done what you're doing...

What a convenient thread, I have been thinking of starting the journey myself, but I don't know what I should read beforehand. Anyone got any advice?

*blocks your path*

*Sells Child to Slavers for drug money*

*Gives drugs to children*
*Uses drugged children to lure more children to drug*
*Continue selling children to slavers for drug money*
*Slavers don't know the kids need drugs, so they plummet in productivity*
*Use prime opportunity to buy-out slavers after building strong connections with them through continued loyalty*
Now I have all the money, lolis, AND drugs I could ever want. All for a small investment of one child.

Tbh I could imagine crime rates going down if parents from criminal backgrounds or with low incomes were allowed to sell their babies. Definitely better than sending them to foster homes or being raised by drug addicted parents.

>make crimes legal
>crime rates go down
wow who would have thought

>Scholar's edition
hilarious

Are you reading it here: libcom.org/library/capital-karl-marx (or elsewhere online) or do you have a physical copy?

>rothbard
>one of the few (((economists))) who actually manages to be more delusional than marx
You could at least try

>he took the Marx pill

haha u haev 2 read le Grundrisse too!!! :^D

An even better option is to not let them have kids in the first place.

wait until your read Sowell on Marxism and realize it was all a waste of time!

you could have been filling out job applications!

>le based libertarian token negroe
fuck off boomer

Yes I'll have a large Latte hold the foam. And make it snappy, I've got a real job to get to!

im reading that version on my Kindle

Where should I start if I want to get into economics? Did Greeks talk about capital?

>boomers, the generation responsible for the largest expansion of state power in centuries
>libertarian

Karl Marx squeezed his carbuncles while writing Das Kapital...

Sounds like American libertarianism to me.

Start with Sowell

start with the scots
